Love CJ. Between 89 and 92 I saw CJ play with the Ramones 7 times, and his performances were never anything less than superb.

Really great interview by CJ. Intelligent, concise, focused, down to earth inside look at what it was like to play in one of the greatest bands ever.

It is so weird to me seeing CJ as a mature adult. When I picture him, I think of a young, 20-something dude with a robotic, never stopping right hand. Ahhh..we all age though. In one year, I will be 40 and honestly speaking, it scares me. hehhee. 30 didn't bother me..but the prospect of turning 40 definitely does.

I never saw him young. As far as his energy and stamina go, he still had it last August when I saw him live... finally! He deserves this retirement. And our respect and love. P.S. I turn 65 in October and in my head I still feel around 30. But in the mirror, I look and see an old person. It happens. You get used to aging after a while....you'll be just fine :) Ramones fans never grow old in their souls and hearts.

CJ is as good as Dee Dee was!

    • @michaelr.4878

Technically..like as a bass player, he was a much, much better player than Dee Dee. But Dee Dee's whole thing wasn't based on being a killer player. He did the job, brought energy to the band and wrote timeless songs. CJ totally breathed fresh light into a tired band.
