Don't Buy Aftermarket Wheels - Do This Instead! (BMW F10 M5)

- It's definitely possible to get an aggressive, sporty fitment out of your stock oem wheels. It just takes the right research and occasionally a good amount of trial and error to get things right. Luckily for us the internet exist and 9 times out of 10 someone has already done the homework for us. That was the case with my BMW F10 M5. It took all but 5 minutes to find out which spacers I needed to make my oem wheels look 10x better. Best part? It cost a fraction of what a new set of wheels would run me!

This channel is severely underrated. Great content like always 👍🏾
Appreciate it!
Criminally underrated
That music! 🎶 with the painting 🧑🎨 and the mop wig!!! Lol 👍🤣 absolutely hilarious!! Great video my man!
lost it when i saw the mop wig lmfao
Spacers are an underrated mod and Future Classics were a must for my M3. That mop hair 😆 Great video Bro!
Those spacers really improve the look of the M5 wheels. Nicely done! 🤘
Youz guys are hilarious!! I love learning new ideas on this channel!! Good job.
My favorite bmw channel on CZcams
Asking this question that might be answered later. Do wheel spaces affect handling and tire wear? I'm just thinking of suspension geometry and the tires wearing more in the inside of the tire and with tires being a 1000 bucks a set that's not something I wanna do. Any thoughts?
Well done! Perfect fit, very sharp, thanks for sharing
good work, as always.. the car generally looks just so much better with spacers! greets 👍👍
Great content I would have gone 12 in the back 10 in the front maybe make it look staggered
8:38 i lost it 😂
ok
A year later, any problems with rubbing when the suspension compresses/ bumps? Curious if 10-14mm incurred you also rolling your fenders?
Every time I watch this channel I can’t wait to get my e92 M3 or e60 M5 yes I know about the rod bearings for both alrighty factored those in. Currently cruising around in my e36 in the meantime 👌🏾
Keep up the great content you are the reason I recently just bought a 2010 335xi
Really good channel man. Just found it. Solid content
Bro! I died with the Picasso painting scenes! Content 101 there hahaha
I understand the money situation, but I am with Ali on this one. Badass wide staggered wheels for this beast. Buy once cry once 😁
Buy once cry once lol. First time hearing that. I like it.
I know this is super old but how much more quickly are the wheel bearings needed to be changed while running these?
Im so happy you went with spacers instead of different wheels. I have yet to see a set of after market wheels that look better than M wheels on any M BMW. Nothing worse than seeing a Nice M car with ricer aftermarket wheels.
I have a 2008 e90 335i I’m about to buy those m5 rims with 245/40/19 front 275/35/19 back. I also have coilovers on the car. Will the rims fit with out modifications?
Hey! Awesome video and content! What spacers would you recommend for a E93? Have one really similar to the one you recently gave away!
Yeeeeesssiiiir they fill in those wheel arches very nicely now. Lookin good along with the new coating on the whip
Good as always and I really love your M5 its a beast and looking forward to the air intake.
👊🏼
Amazing how such a cheap mod can make the car look better. I put spacers on my e90 when I got it. I was considering new rims for it but once I put on the spacers I decide against it. Made the 193 style rims look so much better. I still need to get a set for my e39!
Awesome job Christian!
Made a huge difference! Love the aggressive stance now!
👊🏼
You just make my days better and better thanks bro for all of your works love all of your video god bless you and bless you familly
❤️
How us your thoughts on ride quality? Stering feel? I had 12 in the front 15 rear... I didn't like stering at all... Have put 12mm on rear and looks OK but front is still oem sharp.
I would like to see the 12/12mm setup, otherwise a major improvement and as a fan of oem wheels in general - definitely good. The spacer company also looks to truly attention to detail, with the long bolts and what not... $300 though? I don't know, man... Some Gourmet spacers right there
Looks pefect! Done the same to my 330i. OEM rims with 10 in front and 18 back. Flush is the word 👍🏾 Greatings from Sthlm Sweden. And, don’t go cheap on a bimmer please 😊
Hey hi, just wanted to ask because I’m not sure but wouldn’t the wider spacer always go in the back?
Should I put one just in the back or all wheels? Will it look good on 09 335i?
I figured you would get a fro anf paint happy trees like Bob Ross...😏👍 Great video Cristian. Keep on having fun brother! 👊😁
So, yea you schooled me. I was thinking what a waste of money but the fact is your M5 clearly looks better with the spacers slightly shimming the tire/wheels out as you did. Looking at ordering a set for my M3. Thank you sir!
👊🏽
You know what, that's pretty cool having the extra bolts on the spacer. Last year, my wife got new tires. The tire shop took off the wheel. The spacer was stuck onto the wheel and fell off when they set down the wheel. Then they never put the spacer back on. They put the wheel back on with the elongated bolts. What a disaster, all the bolts were hitting the hub behind the spindle. Having the spacer bolted down definitely would have prevented this debacle.
Keep up the good work brother 🇵🇷
Before saving up for a 3k plus set of after market wheels I would just use wheel spacers for my oem wheels. Lower the car on coil overs and spend the remainder of the budget on performance upgrades
I love me some setup videos your channels one of my favorites but those shoes......”WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOOOOOSE!?” 😮 😂 jpjp I got some spacers coming tomorrow cant wait 👏🏾
Is there any ride difference by adding spacers?
I love this content. I have white matte Frost paint on my m5 comp
Let's Get It. Needed this content 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
👊🏼
Tastefully modded, good stuff brother.
Anyone know what spacer i can run in the front of a e92 335i on H&R springs 225/40r18
Bro what is the tyresize that u are using for front and rear
I think a few more mm would have been a tad better but who am I 🤣 still an amazing unit waiting for that e90 content tho...
Why is this channel so underrated
Chris always looks like the serious guy but not today 😂😂😂
Had to let loose a little.
Had to... let your hair down? 😅
spacers were def a must on my f10👌
Looking good in deed 🔥
What are the size of your tyres?
BurgerMotorSports sells their spacers that includes the longer bolts for $100 a set, and if you buy a set of 4 for $200 you get a free wheel guide pin to make installation even easier.
If aftermarket didn’t look like that before, then BMW should have done it like that from the beginning!!!!!!
Hell, it looks marvelous!!!!!!
This man having to much fun now 😂😂
😅
First off! If you by the 6061 T6 billet ECS wheel spacers. They are made & milled unbelievable!!! Once they're slide on they don't move...that's how high the tolerance is! H&R spacers are made from magnesium which is an unbelievably strong & light weight alloy but weren't in stock. Once you "bolt" your spacers on there going to be unbalanced with those bolts!!! When making the H.P. we are in these cars you should be using studs anyway! I just put 18" Anthracite APEX ARC-8's on my 135i & one wheel weighs less than half the weight of a factory wheel. I ran 5mm ECS 6061 T6 billet aluminum spacers all the way around & they are made & milled unbelievable! I ran 90mm APEX studs & nuts with OEM BMW floating center caps on my wheels. Those acid brushes are only 5 cents??? Have a few more bags of titanium hardware coming to finish up under the hood & my video will be on my car. Just making everything is perfect.
LOL...Brilliant, especially the anti-seize application. One question though...why not 12mm at rear and 10mm in front?
I explained that in the video.
You should install an interior dashboard digital cluster. 6WB. Would be awesome
I really wanna get it too
So you added the wheel spacers for two reasons. To push the wheel outside in order to be parallel with the fender and to add some depth to the rims as well.
I think 300$ is an overkill but the result definitely paid off.
I was also thinking about getting wheels spacers, much cheaper than buying a different offset and wheels.
But you never think about the thousand of dollars worth of damage that will cost you in later time dummy
@@cwillfrommd...maybe it won't. Release that hater-spirit in you.
@Vehicle Virals I'm a huge BMW fan and I like this video
As a Bimmer Tech. This changes the handling, ride and alignment of your car.
Looks cool though
The mop top was a nice touch.
Love this content. I am a student at CZcams University. That is a good idea to do with your stock wheels.
Great mod brother
I love hearing ali breathing. The car looks like a beast now
Looks like you did the rears correct with the stud holes lined up. The front the holes are in the squares? At 11:09 you can see holes in squares, to be fair you may have fixed it off camera.
You gotta paint the vandike brown on the hubs 😎
Racers make your vehicle stance look nicer plus it improves the handling a little bit however it messes up your ride quality and your suspension Plus in some states it could be illegal having your rims stick out further than your fenders
I loved the video specially the art part 👍👍😂😂😂. 15 minutes in total or on each wheel?????😂😂😂😂 . I also have an m5 v10 e60 and your car still has a lot of similarities in some spots particularly on the bumpers. I like the final result. Not to exaggeratedly. Verygiod. Thank you for the video. I from Portugal 🇵🇹. 👌👌👍👍
Thanks for watching dude!
Why not use a tommy bar to hang the wheel on while you start some of the other bolts?
I’ll take this into consideration but I really like the look of HCI MDI wheels
Looks good bro, but I still lean toward aftermarket wheels / tires preferably VOSSEN / Michelin and lowered on an air suspension. But that’s just me...
How would spacers work on my awd bimmer? I’d read that it can mess up my system if all four wheels aren’t equally spaced
I have 2016 435xi fbo +hpfp on e50tun. Got 20mm rear and 15mm front set of spacers for 88$ for all. Car looks way more aggressive. No issues
Fun, jokes, and car upgrades. Perfect 😂💀
I put spacers on all my cars, Elise, integrale evo2, Syncro country, except the golf GTI which I like it to look complete sleeper. Always used spacers and doesn't make them handle badly or wear CV joints etc unlike the BS some experts tell you.
What’s the name of the car color?
All I need is that garage with the lift, and that power tool used to remove the bolts.
😂😂😂the wig had me dead
Definitely looks better 👌
Perfect!
Do the spacers make the car drive differently? If so better or worse?
No difference
Yea no lie good wheels are expensive. Great idea to save some coin and save up for that down the line . The beast is coming along 👌🏼
Why do the rear wheels on my car (335i) go inward? How much should it cost to fix it?
Are you referring to the camber? You can get spacers like this or adjust the camber on an alignment rack.
i do not see the Link for the spacers
Brother do you find any problems driving like wobbling or stuff
None at all.
Cut out bits are to reduce centrifugal mass and that's why there classed as sports.
love your channel... a quick question, hopefully you see it lol.. do you need an alignment after this or any other special tweaks?
Nope, you won't need an alignment.
Is the spacer TUV approved?
Oh yeah a new video.
I don't know about the wheels but I sure like the matte paint job....
My BMW dealer told me that spacers on an xDrive is not recommended because of the AWD system that is not designed to work properly with spacers.
Awesome stuff bro... Yeah but this isn't a 15mins job yeh 🤣🤣🤣
Nice!
The matte black is really looking good. Getting new wheels is maintenance, right? :)
Absolutely!
M5 HAD excellent rotors and pads especially for heat 100%.
does this work with staggered setup on wheels?
Yes
it's gonna be a beauty if you add some red color parts bro
Was wandering if the wheels form the other BMW would fit...may be you could have powder coat them and see what it look like
I’ve got spacers in mine and the gap between the fenders will go with 1 spacer bro !
8:42 man oh man if you had some styrofoam padding from some wheels or something else you could’ve done the Bob Ross impersonation.
Yo...LMAO, love it!
