Thanks for showing the alligator 🐊! Looks like they weren't as easy to find as I thought they would be! Enjoyed the bird and the cat too. Beautiful markings on that cat and he looked so happy. In fact everyone in that video looks like they're having a blast! To be able to live this life on the daily sounds like a dream come true. With my closest family all the way out in California this might be an ideal place for me to settle down. So I really appreciate all the things you have shown in your videos to at least show me another option 😊
It’s a clean, safe place to live with lots of clubs, swimming pools, golf, free entertainment, etc.
Alligator mating season has ended and they are laying low for the summer. There's no place like The Villages, come and check it out!
The market place/food hall looks really good, if the prices are reasonable. The area with lake looked really beautiful, think this has been the nicest and probably biggest centre you’ve shown thus far. That caramel ice cream from Hagen Dazs looked scrumptious. Thanks for sharing your day.

A You Tube couple I watch that live in the Villages said that Lake Sumpter Landing is their favorite square of all of them.
I know some communities can be large but DAMN. This is a town of it's own! The food hall looked great. Upkeep is good. Swanky!
It is a massive place and it's still growing every day.
It's so much more than a community! It truly is a city unto itself - over 32-square miles! That's larger than Manhattan! And it's still expanding, hoping to add more than 60k homes in the next two decades.
Population is over 150,000. Covers 22 miles north to south and almost 5 miles east to west.

Boozy Bingo! 😂 This place is just awesome! Just so much to do and see! The clouds reflecting off the water was beautiful when y’all were looking for alligators.
I have friends that are retired and live in Key West in the winter months, I will have to ask them if they’ve heard of The Village.

I read that in Florida any body of water could possibly have an alligator in it and you should never walk close to the edge of a pond or a lake.
That’s the truth.
You heard right! Over 1.3 million alligators in Florida.
You had an absolutely picture perfect day for the boat ride. We had wanted to do that, too, but wound up running out of time. I had no idea that it was only $3 a person - that's a pretty good bargain. We'll definitely get on the boat the next time we're there.

I thought of you guys when I heard about the woman at Walt Disney World who just died after falling out of a golf cart that did not have seat belts. Btw, I like the closing shot of the garage door going down.
Oh, golf cart deaths happen all the time just like deaths by car. People go too fast or don't pay attention.

Everyone is responsible for their own lawn, but a lot of people pay a service to mow.

I’m thinking of moving to the villages. I now live in the Pacific Northwest where tempters seldom get above 80 degrees. My daughter lives in Orlando. I just had a heart attack and stroke in November. She came to visit me 4 times. Not sure if I pass driving exams and think living where golf carts can take me most places will be great. Now I have to get someone to drive me where ever I want to go. They say it’s no problem, but I know it’s going to get to be too much. I know I’ll like driving to stores and appointment myself.
It would be great if you could go on a lifestyle visit with your daughter. You don't have to stay a full week, but I would recommend it.
I always enjoy watching your vacation vlogs. Does the smudge on the lower left corner stay on your camera lens all week? That's something that would happen to me!

I'm shocked that boat trip only costs you 3 dollars, in Europe it would've been like 30, boat stuff is expensive as hell here. How long was the boat ride?

Did you find the overall size of The Villages overwhelmingly big or did you fairly quickly get the lay of the land? If you are considering a retirement move there would you choose a new house in the south or an established neighborhood in the north? Are there enough stores, grocery stores,etc nearby compared to where you live now? Fun to see Kevin master the golf cart and those paths and tunnels. Love the beautiful landscaping and Spanish moss!

The Villages spans across many counties. Each county has it's own police or sheriff's department. There are security cameras everywhere. Walking downtown, I swear there was a camera every twenty steps. I like that though.
Looks so peaceful. Would this be a lifestyle you would consider if not for the kids/grandkids?

Regarding alligators - they are everywhere. If there is water, there is most likely an alligator* nearby. Florida, by it's very nature, is swampland. Alligators are as prehistoric as our swamps, and they can move seamlessly from swamp to swamp. But do not worry! They don't give one whit about you, unless you are seen as a threat to them or their eggs/babies. Alligators hiss, some grunt (sexy boy gators lookin' for lovin'), but it's very rare that they attack.
It's important not to feed alligators because we don't want them to get used to humans, to get fat, or to get too stupid to hunt for themselves, lol.
*Oh, and snakes, too. We have 4 venomous snakes native to FL (Rattlesnake, Copperhead, Cottonmouth, and Coral). Cottonmouths are like wasps - they'll bite you because they want to; the rest only attack when threatened.
We enjoyed spotting the alligator in the water :)

I have more questions for your end of series wrap up....Do you think that restaurant, grocery, and general merchandise is a little more expensive in The Village? Or is it a little cheaper, esp for residents. Looking at some of your restaurant receipts so far, prices seem comparable to Florida restaurant prices. Are the gym and other amenities they offer all included for residents or do they have to pay for them? Do visitors have to pay for them? If you watch the people dancing in 1.25x speed, the The Peanuts piano theme song plays in my head! Again, thanks for the video!

Did the villages offer a special price for your vacation if ypu listened and toured them ? Lile a time share avertisement?
Just thinking that would be a great idea for them to get prspective buyers to get a real life experience. I think that would be amazing for you guys
No, they didn't. But, we didn't have to tour with the realtor at all. He offered the tour and we thought it would be helpful, but if you don't want to talk to anyone all week, you don't have to. Those time share people are really trying to talk you into spending some money. It's different in The Villages because people are eager to move there. They know if we don't buy, someone else will.

The Villages sales reps are not pushy at all! They don't have to be because the place sells itself. Come off season for a Lifestyle visit and it's only $99 a night!

How do you get one of those cool looking golf carts...is that a custom order or are they available to buy at The Villages?
They have lots of places that sell golf carts and you can get them customized. It's up to you how much money you want to spend :)
Was your cart hot when you were out driving around?
There's always a nice breeze blowing and you never have to stop for long.

Bounce Boots, there is a club here that will teach you how to use them properly.
