I was very curious and fond of his characteristics from my childhood. Since I was a real sleepy head in my childhood, my mom used to call me Kumbhakarna. 🤣

Every so called Ramayan's Villain's, each and every one of them had their own best-characteristics. They were actually not bad people. Entire Ramayan is to be understood that no matter how fine, perfect and superior you are, like the Ravana clan, a small tiny mistake can align even the Gods against you.

Yes, Kumbhkarna (and Ravana) were Jaya and Vijaya reborn, the second time (they had to be born 3x ) , and be killed by Maha Vishnu before they could return to Vaikunta as Jaya and Vijaya.
I have a question from a long time that many of the evils got boon from gods whatever they wanted and for every evil god had the idea to kill or punish them, but what goddess saraswati did to kumbhakaran was not fair as it was his hardwork that he did for such a long time and can't even got the bon of his choice, as it was his right? He too was a good asura.

It's not a single person. Indra is a position. Itll be changed for certain period. Current Indra name is Purandara it seems 😅

Kumbam means reverse coconut in a pot… karna means hands. holding kumbam in hands he used to meditate for 6 months which gave huge body. But somewhere history was rewritten as sleeping for 6 months 😃
But there is same story as this one I heard. That Saraswati made him say sleep 6 months. Who knows 😅

But according to Ramcharitmanas, Hanuman ji hit Kumbhkaran with a mighty punch which made him unconscious for sometime. And according to Hanuman Bahuk even Lord Shiva was defeated by Hanuman ji.

Ramcharitmanas is more of a hagiography. I'm not saying it's wrong, it's a great literary work. In fact I sometimes quote it while talking. But for historical accuracy, I feel Maharshi Valmiki's Ramayan should be considered the standard

I mean, Tulsidas ji told some contexts in the different way but the base of the story remains the same na. You can only change the style of telling but you can't change what had happened bud.
