Well, their not wrong. She made a false claim that Toto bit her and attempted to take him away from her.
I can assure you, Karens existed well before that. Many noblewomen in ancient and medieval times acted like karens, often with lethal results.
May i bring to your attention the case of one Erzsebet Bathory. She tortured and murdered countless of her serving girls (allegedly for a total of 650, 80 confirmed) because they DARED to be prettier than herself. She would then bathe in their blood in order to "absorb" their youth and beauty.

EXACTLY, sex/puberty education *needs* to be taught to all students without separating the students, why shouldn't we know fully about our species? Why are we only taught about the parts we have? We should know everything about our species, and then if sex/puberty education was integrated there would be no room for that Karen's transphobic remarks, since everyone no matter their gender would all be in one room learning the same thing
@@alexturner774 Just buy them a book on the human body - then they'll get it.
When I had my sex education class in primary school, years 5 & 6 (4-5th Grade for America) male and females were separated but both genders were taught the same lessons as each other. I find it surprising that some schools don't do that.
@@ARCtheCartoonMaster people are... reluctant to learn anything unless they're forced to sit through it in class usually, and even then a lot of the time you have to try and make it interesting to keep their attention, that's why so many people don't know about very basic things despite having internet access, the cis men who are ignorant about periods could spend some time on Google but they don't, that's why you have to teach them when they're young
@@Nozxoki I know some schools still push artificial things like purity culture... waiting til marriage, I'm a firm believer that religion, tradition and anything else should not influence education, especially something so important as sex education, it's why we have so many misconceptions and misunderstandings, because some people are embarrassed to talk about it factually, so they barely gloss over it, cut some parts out, spread purity culture propaganda and call it a day

I have a sneaking suspicion that the boy in the girl's class the Karen is complaining about might be trans. She made a point to state that her daughter has known this kid since kindergarten and 'knows he's a boy'. It would explain why there's only one boy in the class, the odds of the whole class only having one boy are astronomical.
@@RenTheWren That's what I think
In the first half, I thought, "She's really emphasizing 'boy' a lot. This is a trans girl, isn't it?" Then the second half came up with "and she knows he is a boy" in it. Yyyyyep. There's no way this isn't a trans girl that this Karen is up in arms about.
That's definitely the case and I feel so sorry for the girl. Especially because it will be super good for her to get sex ed to help her fit in with other girls and to be prepared and knowledgeable if she wants to get surgery later on.
Yeah, the moment i noticed how many times she emphasized "boy", i knew damn well it was a trans girl and the Karen was just being transphobic. It's honestly disturbing a person can be so cruel towards a fucking CHILD
I thought so too. Gender dysphoria for me started around 4-6, and I joined kindergarten at age 5. It would make a lot of sense why the karen was so angry at a child for no reason

The manager reprimanded me but I really didn't care. I have so much empathy for people working in fast food and retail and anyone else that has to deal with this shit on a daily basis.
Instead if National Service, people should be forced to work in retail of fast food instead before they're allowed to apply for other jobs
Funnily enough we don't believe in that sort of bs about the customer being right where I work. Not every retail company stands by that rule and even if they did not every store in the franchise is going to stick by that rule.

She started yelling about how they should’ve needed her permission to do something so horrible to her child......I told her about how 16 and up I’m allowed to make medical decisions regarding vaccines. She was not happy and started mumbling about leftist plans and how me being able to get it without her is bullshit.....she’s also a Karen who told one of my new coworkers my deadname (she doesn’t believe In nonbinary and doesn’t call me anything different.) she said to my coworker and I quote. “You can call her *beep* when you want to upset her.” Knowing that I’ve told her that my deadname gives me extreme anxiety because of her mostly. But yea I will always remember that first realization....or maybe it was the increased opportunity by the pandemic and the fact I was finally at a age with internet access realizing my mother wasn’t exactly stable when that happened.....also my mother will forever be mad that she gave me my phone. Let me form my own opinions. Their logic is flawed and they're flat-out lying about being able to have religious exemptions from this.
@@RenTheWren I've got autism. It actually works in the other direction, in my case. Now, while I know not every situation is the same, let me put it this way: even people with sensitivities to tactile sensations wear masks, because it's a lot better than spending three weeks in the hospital.

as a trans girl I wasn't able to learn about periods and tampons and stuff and that like actually hurt so props to that school for letting her come
While the mercury-filled tuna sandwich meme had me chuckling, it's still depressing how misunderstood this whole thing is. Vaccines use to contain ethylmercury (also known as thimerosal) and NOT methylmercury, the toxic mercury found in some fish (and which antivaxxers will still eat no problem...). Ethylmercury is easily eliminated by the body and is completely harmless in medical use. But still pharmaceuticals had to remove it to appease uneducated people's fears, even though this meant vaccines would have a much shorter "shelf-life". Trying to understand a minimal amount of chemistry is too hard I guess...
Ngl, I kinda failed Chemistry and I hated it, math has always been my #1 enemy in school courses, but even then this was fun to learn about.
Not dissimilar to during prohibition; ethanol, methanol...close enough, practically the same thing! ☠ 😮
Same for alcohol. The way I keep it straight is with the ethyl- I imagine Ethel Median belting out a show tune with a big smile on her face. With methyl- I just think of, well, meth.
You have to keep in mind that these are people that, when they hear the word "mercury", the only thing they can think is "death" and there is absolutely no way you could ever get through their stupidity to teach them any different. They have made up their minds and nothing on earth, heaven or hell can tell them different. Hell, I had an acquaintance who, when confronted with truth and facts about the pandemic, told me that, "If god himself came down and told me it is as bad as the doctors say it is, I'll call Him a liar to His face!" *THESE* are the people who don't care if you or your loved ones die a horrible death (I have lost 2 brothers to this crap, so I know how horrible the death actually is) as long as they have have their "freedumb" (which I have begun calling "freestupid").

Honestly, learning about both sides of sex ed is helpful since that means less misinformation, guys know how to care for the women in their life such as loved ones or partners and support them by getting period products, and it makes it less taboo to know how bodies work and how to stay healthy and safe. A trans girl being there is perfectly normal (at least, that’s who this Karen seems to be referring to) and we really shouldn’t have to separate kids based on gender for sex ed and just be more open. Seems like this Karen is just out of their mind for thinking this one kid is going to hurt their classmates by learning sex ed.
In germany we have sex ed together so i was a bit confused about this one. Basic information about the human body shouldn't be separated for genders, if Karens keep away children from learning that it's no wonder why there's oopsie babies and husbands who are grossed out by finding out periods exist...
@@midnaphai Yeah, it makes more sense to not separate based on gender. I think America is kind of behind on that and really needs to catch up

Yeah that one gave me such anti-Trans vibes. So messed up. Her daughter is probably uncomfortable because her mom is so repressive. I just hope that poor kid who she outed didn't suffer because of her need to start drama.
I do wonder if the trans girl might still learn more about herself in the other class. If she's not on puberty blockers she'll need to know about the changes her body will have.
They all should learn both, anyway. Hopefully they do learn both just separate by gender for comfort reasons.

Some people showed up later to the sale and were outraged that I hadn't held the items for them 🤦♀️ So I got 3 negative marketplace reviews right off the bat, even though I had been completely transparent with everyone
They expected me to literally hold an item for the very first person who messaged me when I had hundreds of people clamoring for it and I needed it gone from my house... Since then I've tried to do it that way and I often get people who delay delay delay and then never even come get the item 🤦♀️

"The customer is always right"
A little bit ago I learned that this came from a description folks used to use of basic market mechanics; specifically, that if your product or service isn't selling that's because *_you_* are supplying it in a market that doesn't want/ need it. The customers know their own desires far better than any business ever could, no matter how "wrong" you think they are or how happy you imagine they'd be once they smarten up and appreciate your service/ product.
Unfortunately, the dumbfuck, dipshit and moron brigades long, long ago caught wind of the phrase and has been weaponizing it against customer-facing workers completely independently of the fact that it is true for owners/ investors, not employees who have to deal with the (shudder) *_public_* .
It’s also for matters of taste- if the customer likes the neon orange jacket with a muted green and bright pink skirt, don’t correct them. They like it.
@@bookbook9495 yeah, the customer is always right in the matters of taste and quality. It’s meant to allow the customer to choose the most expensive things if it suits them, and we get to guide them to it. If they want the cheaper things it’s still fine since the store still makes a profit.
Oof, I should have scrolled a little further before posting. You are exactly right. It has NOTHING to do with entitled Karens wanting a cold fridge on delivery.
I don't know why but I don't think that "the customer is always right!" Always applies everywhere because sure if you bought something that was already passed then your right but if you wait for the date and the eat it expired and you get sick from it your just not right then
@@Liandra24 I like selling lots of small stuff during the day; keeps me busy. Sure, I make big bank on selling one expensive item, but I'm bored for the rest of the day 😑
"The customer is always right" is my least favorite statement. It engenders an undeserved attitude of entitlement to those that already possess the worst qualities of humanity. I worked as a bouncer for a few years, and one of the bars I worked at was more than a bit rough. This was the place where all the local metal and punk bands played and had a reputation for violence. It really wasn't a Karen friendly business, but we still very often had to deal with them. We ended up with a large sign that read "The customer is always right until the bartender decides the customer isn't a customer anymore". It was always incredibly satisfying when the bartender made that call, because I was the one who had the pleasure of "escorting" them off the premises.
The phrase "The customer is always right" was coined by Harry Gordon Selfridge in 1909 (though some prefer the variations coined by to César Ritz or Marshall Field - it was a popular mentality in 20th century business magnates). As the founder of Selfridge’s department store in London, Selfridge used this frame of mind to convince patrons that they would have an excellent customer experience as well as to simultaneously persuade employees to provide high-quality service. It was just a department store commercial that others copied.
The whole phrase is the customer is always right in matters of taste and quality, or something like that.
Thanks for teaching me a new word (engender). I'll add it to my collection. =)

Another thing about “natural immunity” is that while many people survive the initial infection, too many are having these crazy after effects that are often worse than the sickness.
plus its such a brain dead argument to begin with - "I will become immune to covid by catching covid"
There is also the whole aspect of natural immunity occurring only if you survive, which is less likely if you're not vaccinated
The whole natural immunity thing also totally ignores the fact that your body is the one creating the immunity by being given the vaccine. It’s the same mechanism. One is just less dangerous.

Karen logic: I smoked cigarettes in my house and gave my children vodka every day of their lives and not once did any of them catch the Black Plague, therefore vodka and cigarettes are all you need to become immune to the Black Plague. The full saying is even "The customer is always right in matters of taste."
If I remember correctly it was coined by a person who ran a suit store and they'd tell his employes that since they sold more suits if they just let the customer choose whatever colours and styles they wanted even if it didn't match.
The "girl talk" situation - we did such in the 5th grade I taught at many years ago. The girls learned about what was happening with the boys, and vice-versa. So, when the girls began their menstrual cycles (that were very irregular), the boys understood what was going on and just accepted it. It was just a part of puberty.
The full quote is: "The customer is always right in matters of taste." Like, if they don't like lemons don't try to sell them Chicken Franchese. It goes hand in hand with "Know the territory/product."
I used to have a local grocery/sweet shop (long prior to the pandemic), but had I still had it when covid broke out, I'd have had a sign reading: "no mask, no entry, no exceptions".
And regarding the "BOY" being present in what I perceive to be an elementary sex-education class, wouldn't it be better to not segregate for this? Children of any gender need to be aware of what's happening to their bodies _and_ others' bodies. If your child is uncomfortable with this, that says more for how you have brought them up.

In my school, everyone was fully taught boys anatomy. Including where the pee comes from. Not so with girls, the major reproductive organs only, excluding anything external, or even how the internal parts connected to the external. No mention was made of how/where urination happened either.
I dated a guy who thought women pee through the clit….. it took an hour to teach him proper anatomy
Weird. In my school we were taught everything. Although first we were taught about our own bodies, then later in HS we were taught about the opposite gender. This was back before America recognized that LGBTQ+ people existed BTW. It was really funny though because the teacher literally said "I'm not technically allowed to tell you to use a condom but, use a condom". She was cool.
Seems weird that those would even be separated classes to me. Like we just had human anatomy classes, the sex organs were just a part of that.
In my school, all sex ed was taught to all students at the same time so everyone in my class learned about male anatomy and female anatomy at the same time. There was no separation whatsoever
My school taught us for both sex on how everything works
Health classes should include all genders for both sets of information simply because it'll be as useful for someone without one to understand how vaginas work. They should just introduce it by having the teacher say "OK, here's the deal.60% of my romantic partners were terrible at it at the start. This class will help you in about 10 years time to end up in the 40%, so pay attention."
They do in the UK. Also men can teach sex ed too. I'm not sure anyone would want their teachers talking in any way about their sexual history in any way though.
In Germany it's also both genders. In fact, the topic is three times in the curriculum (at least when I was in school). 4th grade, 6/7th grade and if making the Abitur with biology focus 11/12th grade
@@benholroyd5221 why though, it's just sex?
Whom does making it such a taboo actually benefit?
We're all taught to be scared of it and be extremely uncomfortable with it for at least the first time or even for years, to feel guilty for craving it when we don't have a long-term partner and even feel guilty when doing it with a long-term partner for the "wrong" reasons. It totally ruins the enjoyment and results in a lot of insecurit, and sexual frustration for a lot of people for their entire lives.
Sexual liberation didn't go far enough yet. I don't think it would hurt anyone, if we could just talk about sex the same way we talk about love or any other natural emotions. 💁♂️

@@elizabethshaw7472Yeah, if you have a major loss of blood and uterine lining while pregnant....it means that there is possibly something horribly wrong with the pregnancy. It could mean the loss of the pregnancy if there is too much uterine lining and blood lost.

It's kind of inherent in the definition of Karens. That they expect respect they don't deserve.
