Thanks for sharing the earning info behind the scene. If you factor in the fact that you have to film while on the trip, then spend hours sorting footage and editing, it would seem the business is not worth doing. But I think this kind of “lifestyle” business can be so much more rewarding than a 9 to 5 job. Especially the benefits of time freedom and decision making control is priceless. Hope you are happy being a full time CZcamsr. Maybe you can make another video to share how you like it so far.
What an honest and open breakdown. As a MUCH smaller cruise CZcams channel, I've always been really inspired and motivated by channels like yours.

I shared your Barcelona cruise port video with a coworker who will be planning her first cruise for next year in the Med. She and her husband are native Spanish speakers so I figured the best bet for their first cruise in the Med would be from a place where she doesn't need to worry about a language barrier, and your video looks super helpful. So aside from the money you're earning, you're also smoothing the first cruise (or any subsequent cruise) for people and helping them better enjoy their vacation. You can't pay your rent with that but I think you're the kind of person who would be happy to hear it.

You seem to work very hard for an uncertain salary, I suppose many self employed folks would say the same but it must be pretty hard at times to stay so upbeat and keep us all engaged with your content! The bonus is you get to choose your own path and schedule which is a plus. Interesting that this is the first time you have come up on my you-tube listing so I will be checking out your other videos as I am drawn to your genuineness. I sometimes feel other people seem to sell their souls on some channels, which shall remain nameless 😊 I really don’t watch a travel video by them to be halfway through it to then be “sold” something totally unrelated by the content provider doing a salesman act, doesn’t appeal. I love your channel and did not realize you had two! I'll check the other one out. I enjoyed hearing about earnings. I'm an elementary school teacher, and you wouldn't believe how many kiddos have their own channels. They all feel they will be the next famous CZcamsr or Tik Toker, so school is not so important. I'm going to share this earnings info with the kids to keep them a little more realistic!

People are so used to the main allergies of peanuts and the like that the wider world of allergens get overlooked. My local spa had someone go check their stock while being surprised that folk could be allergic to soaps and other cleansers. It’s rare that I can get away with not bringing my own. It’s just the VV cruise is quite short that I was hoping to not have to.

At worst I look like I’ve got an exotic skin disease and people even think it’s hand, foot and mouth. I knew that someone out there who watches your channel would know and would be able to help. Honestly while I do watch some of the bigger channels, whether they are travel related or not, I do like smaller channels like yours a little better I think in part because they are more responsive to the viewer. I would compare it along the lines of a mom & pop shop v. a big box store or a big chain restaurant & a local dive. I will still go to the big chain restaurant but I will try & find that local dive when I want something specific because I know they are going to put more care into their product.
Also, as a fellow Midwesterner who used to live in Germany kept me coming back.

Thanks for the info. It kind of proves my personal situation whether to start a CZcams channel..well it's out there, but not much on it. It is a full-time job to get little rewards unless you work at it. I'm retired. I don't want to work that much anymore. I decided to just post my trip on social media and be done with it. I prefer to enjoy my trips and I'll pay for the trips I want to take vs viewers want. Getting too old to not do what I want...the virus proved that. Can't waste time after age 60. Also, the tech side of posting is more complicated that I want to learn about. LOL
Here is a comparison video idea: which areas you have explored yourself vs cruise excursions and the respective costs. It could also be easier as you revisit ports like Coco Quay looking at what you will/won’t additionally pay for… just a thought….I love your boutique channel, Kisses from 🇨🇦
ad - You tube TV and Walmart + ; Interesting content today. I am not surprised that you had more views about traveling between Chewchewbacca and Roma. I'm always searching for that kind of detail when going to a port/place that I am unfamiliar with, or want to avoid the cruise ship tours to save a little money and not have the sit and wait time.
Loved this video Morgan and I like the new angle on the red sofa. 🤩 I just social blade snooped my own channel for the first time. As I've never managed to gain enough views for my channel to be monetized I was intrigued to get an idea of how much CZcams is earning from monetizing my videos with ads for their benefit without giving me a cut. The grand total was £176 PER YEAR! Guess I'm not missing out on too much but also I figure I need that £176 more than CZcams! 🤑

I’ve never watched any CZcams content before where the content creator announced an ad and it played! Normally they just thrust them in so randomly that it just annoys or infuriates me. Actually, the way that you’ve done it made me remember what they were shilling. Talking to you, Etsy and Mazda.
Morgan, You work hard to post these videos. Your income on videos isn't immediate. Maybe over a year you may recoup your trip costs to break even. Still the cash is out laid before the income is made and may never. Loved your comments after the sofa time discussion. Thank you for sharing your travels with all of us who follow you.😊
