Too day we have 1919.04.1919and this old Films are keep a live. Thank you very much to sending this Video.
You know, that underwater story reminded me of that scene in the movie "Them" from 1954. The scene where that old scientist gave a film lecture on ants.
Then back to the movie.
A serviceable flick. It hit all the marks one would expect of a "native curse" story. Especially the bit about "hearing" drums.
Funny how @ 17:34, the Doc takes the girl on an underwater tour while standing at the gunnel!
LOL-i posted a reply to your comment in a separate post. Good one!
Nothing but drums drums, the drums drums drums...
My Precious . Now I've the Pearls to go with the Ring.
verry good old movie, thanks
I've been watching a lot of these films from the 40's (thanks again @PizzaFlix) and was wondering, Is it just me or were women very forward then, too, but in a much more subtle way? OK, maybe the seduction wasn't so subtle at all, lol.
They cut out the part where they establish that the Julia is a glass-bottom tour boat.
Herman Melville also wrote " Moby Dick."
Reply to @David_Rice: Right? In the middle of the Pacific Ocean and he's pointing things out happening deep underwater as though they were looking into an aquarium=wait, it's obvious they were when the octopus was clinging to the glass; and all she wanted was to go swimming. Then again, this WAS long before "Jaws" came out. Finally, same scene, I had NO IDEA that fish had developed a communications system similar to the jungle drums-those drums, drums drums. Once "word about the fight got out" that poor octopus got the crap pounded out of it! I wonder if those were hammerhead fish-kmsl. @PizzaFlix did it again-another hour during quarantine with something fun to watch.
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX
I guess Murray the Eel shoulda left Octopussy well enough alone. Sequels guaranteed as they get bigger and bigger.
