@@Mark777hI agree, France are going to get the rebound game of note. And we know the ABs can deliver it when they come back from a loss, think NZ will come out like a nuclear bomb in their opening game against France and from a French perspective, they'd be fooled to expect otherwise.
France will be taking note though. They have the pack to emulate the Boks dominance. Then Du Pont can do all kinds of magic.

We did the ABs a favor by reminding them of what WC knockout games will be like as well as the requisite mental posture. I prefer these quadrennial epiphanies to be limited to RWC.quarters and semis.

1 bad game doesn't mean you can just write the ABs off they have proved before that they can bounce back, they are still a very good team

As long as the injuries aren't serious and the red card isn't a big loss, I'd agree with you, if not then you can write them off. Losing players at this time would be a massive mental blow on top of being the victims of a record score line. Skill wise, NZ can't be doubted but mentally this could do real damage with no warm up game to bounce back

All we been hearing in SA is how brutal Tamati Williams is at scrimmage and open play and he is the next big thing. He got schooled today by our replacements.
Yeah but to be fair to Williams he was in a 7 man scrum against 8 for most of the 2nd half. Not sure why people are talking up his scrummaging, he's an ok scrummager but he's mainly known for his play around the field.
I'm a kiwi and I picked SA to win the RWC a couple of weeks ago and got abused by so many people, mainly fellow kiwis. You guys were awesome, if you play anywhere near your potential the Cup is yours.

The Ref Stunned them by giving them penalty's in the line out maul early on. The SA side are allowed to start pushing as soon as they like but NZ are not allowed to defend it, how the hell does that work? After that we only had 14, then 13 and finally 14 for the whole game. So yeah no wonder we were confused

Winning the ABs like that has healed some years of suffering. That was incredible. Esterhuizen needs to start. Kolisi is our petrol to the fire. And I love Kleyn fits like a glove in the team. Moodie is a world class player. However the boks needs to learn to play from behind. When we dominate we look great but we need to be able to come back and catch teams this world cup. We all know a ref will eventually have you pinned for a day and you will find yourself behind and we need to able to handle that.
Yeah the bomb squad is designed to come back from behind. Not too worried for that.

Good observations, Wildcard. I get a feeling that Rassie has been holding back the power of his 2 front row’s since the last World Cup final where they absolutely dominated. These guys can put it in Diff lock with ease and can win a penalty from attack or defensive scrums. Scary stuff. 😳

Can you imagine the score line. The cards were for infringements number 5 and 6, then infringement 7 didn't earn a card and number 8 was played advantage and resulted in a try... 7 penalties in the end zone means SA could have been 21- 0 up...

Funny when you see how many caps Marx has. Like 27. I rate Mbonambi but he played like 2 great games just before last WC and 2 great games since but that's the real reason the bomb squad came about. Even 4 years ago. It was close but Marx was the better hooker. Though he has to play out of his skin to get a start. At one point they tried putting Scarra Ntubeni and then even Dweba ahead. If one of them actually had a good game.. We fortunate to have such replacements that would make most starting sides. They have to play out of their skin to be there, a furnace makes the strongest iron.

No red card, 2 yellows, so not going any further. NZ did the same to SA in the 1st game of the last World Cup, and the saffas came back and won it. NZ are a world class team, and we (South africans) know they will learn from this as we do and come back even stronger in 2 weeks. It's just one game that was needed to wake NZ up are our biggest rivals and friends. NZ is a class team and respected internationally. Never right off the ABs, we want them in the Finals with SA. Good luck Ab's, we will support you in the groups all the way until the final. Let's go AB's and Bokke!!

Update: I believe the bunker didn't upgrade to red so he won't suffer big ban. Lomax is flesh wound not instability injury, so it will depend if they can cover it if it takes a long time to heal.
That lomax injury looked incredibly deep, and it was hard to see what even caused it.

The last RWC final midfield set piece mall, win the cup, take a team over just before the RWC and make then world champs, handle the press like a boss, social networking skills, being humble ( Eddie defo don't proses that skill) oh, yhe, most dramatic team selection for a RWC... think about it for a second. Eddie has a personal nudge towards Rassie. He has been out smartes all the way. Eddie had one over the South Africans with Japan, but he lost that with Rassie as the boss. If you watch the mount smart match again you will see that the ABs were early in every line out and the ref did nothing about it so they tried that same stunt today and the ref wasn't having it and they were so used to doing it that they couldn't even stop.
I did notice the timing was very tight for the all blacks in the lineouts
