Geneve - Otway's masterpiece.
Wot a legend, used to see him at The Cricketers in Kennington and The Half Moon Putney when I was at college. Just loved him....
I saw john in belfast along with a a few good mates, many years ago, and even a bombscare did not deter him from giving us a night to truly remember.
Geneva always brings a tear. A beautiful tune that reminds me of being young and having great music to get me through life.
Brilliant. There should be more people like John Otway.
Wild Wiily Barratt great guitar player
I first saw John on the young ones, body talk! I was 8 and loved him
Love Otway, must be the hardest-working musician ever to have existed. Quintessentially English without apologies- same as Roy Harper.
This isn't funny like the one on that TV show. The jump off the speaker was kind of amusing.
My favourite John Otway song!
Otway and Barrett, I am glad that I was, and am, on planet earth at the same time as these boys
Saw these guys in the Edinburgh University Union in 1970.....something.
Brought tears to my eyes!
Go and listen to this with band and full orchestra ,truly epic
Otway's finest moment!!
I had a chat with John in town last night what a nice friendly guy a Legend.
I remember watching their appearance on the Whistle Test, and was hooked. Saw a lot of Sight and Sounds. This is one of the few I remember very well. I will be catching their farewell tour {?} next year!
...and that, ladies and gentlemen, is the true spirit of punk.
A beautiful rock classic.
absolute classic
