This combo of her remarkable voice (one of the greatest of the century IMHO) and her immersion in musical history regularly produces stunners like this one. Go forth and do good, girl. I think it fits this song ok, but I don't like it generally. I don't mind women with a slightly deeper voice, but it's the combo of deep and gravelly that seems to grate on my ears. You expect it from a guy, but not a woman. Just like I'm not attracted to women who look like guys, neither am I attracted to female voices that sound like male voice.
