My husband and I witnessed something like this in 2007. We had our travel trailer up in Bay Bridge Campground and were getting breakfast when two enormous bulls started going at it in our campsite. We cowered in our trailer, being the weenies that we were, praying they wouldn't hit our truck or our trailer. They settled for trampling the fire pit, pushing the picnic table over, and crushing a cooler. I figure we got off lightly with that.

@@D33Lux Sadly, no, neither of us had a smart phone or camera on us at the time, plus we were too busy watching and praying they wouldn't decide to go after our truck or trailer. I don't think well in crisis and will admit that. It is what it is.

To imagine this, bison overran the country in the 1800's and by the early 1900's they were almost extinct, until conservation efforts stepped in and now, they're making a comeback, are off the endangered species list and it's no longer considered unusual to catch a glimpse of a bison. Now that's one amazing story of a comeback.

This video does not properly convey how LOUD bison are. Yes, these two fighting are grunting, etc, but you've got to remember the animals are constantly communicating with one another, and each one is close to a ton in weight.

I camped there a few times . Just don't bother them ... Enjoy the action ! Leave them alone . If they want to eat your hamburger or stick their head in your tent ... Let them ... They are not interested in you . Don't get in there way . If your a screamer or an idiot then why are you there ? Get in your car and stay in your car . They sleep at night like us .

I watch a channel were its a bison ranch. They lost one when it was caught in a fence. They are know to protect but also know to kill their own if it is in distress or injured. Survival of the fit.

Coolest video have seen of the park. A camp site being treated to a wing fest.
