- Sparks Motors diesel mechanics always need to be on their toes. Heavy D and Diesel Dave bring in a new boat that needs to be retrofitted with sonar and other gadgets for a new mission.

Wow dude I was and still am yelling at the tv over the maintenance on the merc. I used to work on boats from 25 h to full outboard motors and this was funny but made me cringe as well. Watch y’all all the time keep up the good work.

For SAR purpose, i would personally prefer an inboard with jet drive for the maneuverability and shallow draft. Plus theres less chance of potentially striking a diver if youre working around divers. Indmar has a sweet package with their marinized version of the Ford 2.3L EcoBoost engine and their EcoJet that would be perfect for SAR

I live 25 miles from the flaming gorge, hopefully you guys find this person! There are strong underwater currents that make it impossible to find drowning victims. Most people are never found. Also, it’s 450’ deep near the damn with pockets around 500’ deep.

I wish I could afford a small boat and a decent sonar setup……I live right near the Arkansas river and there are lots of places that might have cars in it……not to mention all the lakes and streams here in Arkansas!

This boat screams for a jet conversion with a fully controllable jet output to perform station stop, slow crawl, quick direction change etc. For the task at hand, an outboard prop is the least desirable setup. And because of that ramp, this (in its class) is the most useful boat HD has.
I pulled in to flaming gorge campsite after dark with a new tent and we got it all set up and had to take a pee so I went off a little ways and came back, there was no moon pitch black and we bunked down and got up the next day and where we pee'd was around 10 ft from a sheer cliff into the water for 30 feet drop, we shit ourselves and said thanks to the ancestors for keeping us safe.
We never saw the drop off or the water or cliff or anything it was too dark.

Looks like a lot of boat for a single 275. It looks like it could handle 2 or 3 motors easily. I mean there are tiny 21 foot bass boats with 300 plus horsepower that don’t weight anywhere near what this boat weighs.

Would sparks motors be interested in helping someone that's in a wheelchair get back outdoors in some type of off road wheelchair I been paralyzed for 12 years now I can't drive because I don't have money to get a car but right now in my life where I live I would much rather have some kind of offroad wheelchair to get back into nature I been stuck for 12 years of my life that only things that make life worth getting out of the bed for is my 2 beautiful daughters thanks guys have a blessed day
