hey Drew, just thought you should know, but in this game the only way to pass through water is through specified tiles, so the only way that the old world could get to the new world would be through Scotland or through Western Africa (aka Mali). You can see these water pathways when you have armies able to be seen.

@@dareldrem the AIs can’t move their armies, an army is created whenever they gain a tile, and all armies are reset when a nation is at peace. The game is designed for one sided wars and the only way to not die once your losing is a peace treaty which honestly kinda annoys me.

@@dareldrem I think calling them “armies” misleads people to what they are, I think a better term for them would be “mines” or something. All they are are an obstacle that you have to get through, so moving them doesn’t really make sense. Honestly a total rework to the fighting system of the game would probably be for the better, but would change the hole feel of it.

Drew I think something you should know is that in each country information thing (where it shows percentage of revolt and things like that) in the top corner there are 3 dots and if clicked on will show "god mode" options
I feel like if you included all nations it would have been more chaotic and fun
I tried to do that and unfortunately the game seems to have a max countries you can put as of now
The max amount is a hundred im pretty sure
And also it would take a while to name all of them. But I like that idea

They should implement an overlay of real world location names so when a revolt happens it gives it a name. They could even make time period filters. Like ancient, medieval, and modern name overlays. Would be a really nice touch

How did Portugal come back after they were down to literally just 3 tiles? I don't care if Indonesia lasted longer, that makes them the winner in my book, especially since they had such a crappy starting position.

Drew, WTF?! I tried to do an age of conflicts game on the Indian Ocean map, and I ended up seeing a war lasting for a millennium and a half between Nubia, and Sri Lanka (which had 90% revolt risk, and still survived.
As someone who's never been to Georgia, I'm so proud of how well they did on this video.

Drew, you can force countries to fight other countries yourself, make a revolt, and form alliances. If you click on one of the countries capital (or the just country itself) and at the top right of the box theres 3 dots, then click on it :)

For the best gameplay, you should make the max amount of cities, since cities are the only places where rebellions aka new nations can spawn so all of the west is a waste of space sinc enew cities cant be formed, only replaced, so rather randomly put 100 cities over the old world, theres a fairly good chance that cities in the old world will go over to america

Only specific pixels are areas countries can attack with navies or colonize, the only routes to the new world is Scotland-Iceland-Greenland-Canada, and the same goes for Western Africa-Brazil. This is why Scotland and Mali dominated the new world until Scotland was taken over by Belgium and Mali went HRE mode. (Shattered into a million pieces)

I suggest you to play dummy nation its a really good Civilization game and a LOT of Border Gore that everyone loves and also it has a really good invsion system
2 things drew probably don't know:
1 a country loses when their capital gets taken, not how many tiles are there in the capital
2 revolt chance increases when a war ends and the nation didn't take the other capital
"Russia was destroyed by Ukraine" My literal dreams.
I basically did this, but with the max country limit (100) and modern day. Puerto Rico, as the smallest country, beat Canada, the biggest, then started taking over everything. It took 40 REAL MINUTES but eventually the Sri Lankan Empire prevailed.

Am I the only one who thinks that this game reads your mind and does the opposite of what you expect?
Two things very interesting to me in this - one, north America and South/Central America seem to naturally operate as units in which one power is dominant. Two: no power is capable of completely conquering Eurasia so long as cultural and ethnic differences make revolution a probability. Its geography is too big and complex. This to me says that although the number of human nations/empires will probably decrease over time, it won't get down to just one power controlling the whole planet so long as we are dependent on agriculture and resource extraction.
The most revolts I’ve ever had at once in this game was 17.
