  • Straightening images, adding perspective or even taking images that are distorted and in perspective and transforming them to make them straight and flat, is easy in Photoshop, using the distort tool. In Photoshop, the distort tool is a basic but important one to master.

      Textures! I didn’t think of that, but yes, you can extract textures from real-life photos, straighten them using this technique and reuse them in your 3D software.

    Can’t you extract the font by (OCR) … remove the existing text by remove tool and try to retype it again … maybe with some color adjustment to match the rest ?

    Hi, how do you maintain the proportions ? If the original bookcover has a 4:3 ratio, is there an easy way to maintain this ratio ? Except carefully placing (calculating) the blue guides, I don't know.

      I don't think you can, you'd have to manually approximate it somehow. This is a distortion after all, there's no knowing where each side will end up.
