For some reason until just now , I always thought that the 90's Spider-man (Barnes) and the one form the PS1 game (Romano) were the same guy. Guess their voices were a little similar to my ears.

Keaton just sounds natural, for some reason. It's like reading the lines or throwing out the quips is not difficult for him because he's playing himself. He's Spider-Man through and through, especially considering he's gone through "Parker luck" before.

For me it's Rino Romano. He has the perfect young and witty voice for him. His quips are delivered better, and he can blend the seriousness and comedy of Spidey's lines at the same time. Also most PS1 voice acting does NOT age well, but Rino's performance still holds up from the game in present day. Whenever I read a Spidey comic, Rino is the voice I hear. A close second would be Christopher Daniel Barnes.

For some reason, I really liked James Arnold Taylor's voice. For me, it's the voice of Spidey. Btw, I haven't played the games he voiced, but I think this voice is very suitable for Parker and Spidey. For some reason, I imagine him with this voice.

agreed 100 percent! Tobey Maguire was a good Peter Parker and a bad ass spiderman as well! I don't know about Andrew Garfield's spiderman, something about him was just off to me. hopefully Tom Holland does a WAY better job in the new movie Homecoming. he was pretty good in Civil War, I just hope the producers don't fuck it up cause after Garfield's spiderman, we really do need a new and improved spidey!

My three favourites are Christopher Daniel Barnes, Neil Patrick Harris, and Josh Keaton.
CDB gave Peter a lot of personality with his voice, the sardonic wit of the character came through in the delivery.
NPH got the reflective aspect of Peter across, as he was often deep in thought, reflecting on various issues in his life.
Unlike the other two, Josh Keaton had a fairly ordinary sounding voice, which did seem more realistic, and got across that he had a lot on his mind as Spider-Man classically does, as he was constantly thinking about things, to the point where he either neglected or was oblivious to certain things going on in his life.
Josh Keaton has 2 be one of the best SpiderMan so far

Christopher Daniel Barnes, Josh Jeaton, and Sean Marquette are probably the top 3 for me. I read Josh's voice for anything with 616 Peter in high school, Christopher for anything college and beyond, and Sean Marquette for anything with Ultimate Peter Parker. All 3 of them just fit the character so well in different ways
For me its a draw between Christopher Daniel Barnes and Josh Keaton, the 2 like the most because I grew up watching the 90s cartoon and Spectacular Spider-Man because it is a close match to the comics.

I can say that I like almost all of them for different reasons.But now being in my 40's.whenever I read a Spidey comic I hear Paul Soles or sometimes Dan Gilvezan.Honestly It's all about perspective.What you like now as Spidey will be different from your childs perspective of the webslinger..

Also, ultimate peter parker is like a completely different character because he's so young. I think the guy who voiced him in the game has a perfect whiny teenage voice for the ultimate peter in the comics.
It's always been a tie for me between Dan Gilvezan and Christopher Daniel Barnes. Dan was the more fun, whimsical Spidey, and Chris was the more dramatic side.
For a while, when I read Spider Man, I heard Dan Gilvezan's voice in my head, until he started playing Bumblebee on the G1 Transformers series. Paul Soles was the first Spiderman that I heard as a child. So those 2, plus Christopher Daniel Barnes are the ones I really think of as Spiderman's voice.

One thing that Toby maguire did that andrew garfield didn't do (even tho he's supposedly a huge spider-man fan) is that atleast Toby maguire voiced spider-man in his movie based video games. I still think andrew was a great spider-man though

100% not his fault or decision though. Sony wanted to crank out the movie tie-in games as cheaply and fast as possible, so they didn't bother paying for the rights to his likeness OR bringing him in to record. And Sam Riegel's a good substitute, mostly because he's a really experienced VOICE actor. Even if you like Tobey Maguire in the movies themselves, you've got to admit that his delivery in this games sounds like he's asleep, possibly due to both lack if experience in the medium and poor direction.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but Chris Edgerly's Spider-Man has a special place in my heart. I visited Universal Studios Orlando when I was 8 and one of the firs things I remember is that Spider-Man ride. Over the past decade or so for the couple times my family and I have been back to Universal I always ride that ride and I always smile when the Stan Lee cameo *he cameos as the guy who drives the garbage truck you run into* but for a different reason now. Edgerly's Spider-Man was one of the first Spider-Man I witnessed after Maguire, Barnes, and Keaton and is by far one of my favorite underrated Spider-Men
rino romano's spiderman voice brings back memories of coming home from school to play my PlayStation 1 and passing the game but kept playing it over and over cause it was so fucking awesome

Omg. Josh Keaton is Mootai from The Even Stevens Movie! 😂 You guys are right though, his voice works well. I also don't mind Drake Bell and Sean Marquette. Any voices that sound youthful are the best. I grew up with Tobey though. So his soft and sweet lil voice triggered intense nostalgia for me when it started playing lol brings back memories... 🤗🕷❤️

Man, there's some awesome voices but Josh Keaton man... I loved the Spectacular Spiderman series. I wished they continued it. And Chris Edgerly he's awesome, I remember going to Universal Studios for the first time he made Spidey actually sounded like he cared for those who were on the ride.

While Josh Keaton is undoubtedly my favorite, I have to give credit to Sean Marquette. Ever since the Ultimate Spiderman game, when I read Ultimate Spiderman comics, I hear Sean's voice as Peter.

I feel like Sean Marquette makes a really great Ultimate Spider-Man. Whenever I read the comics I always use his voice. It just sounds so natural for that version of Peter Parker. To be honest, hearing his voice now he could still voice Spidey.
