    I've tried out the 2.0 Sport and Touring models, and I'm really blown away by these. Never thought I'd say this, but these new Accords actually look really good to me. I do have two gripes though:
    1) Realllllly wish they had an AWD option. I live in Colorado; winter comes early here and stays late. Shoot, we actually got snow in Denver/Colorado Springs on June 9th this year! (Wasn't much though.) My AWD Taurus SHO is a solid gold CHAMP in the snow, wouldn't have it any other way now.
    2) As fuel-efficient as they are, I wish the fuel tank was bigger. The biggest single drawback with any fuel-efficient car---by ANY automaker---is that they never get a gas tank big enough to take full advantage of their efficiency. I've often joked that if you give me a Civic with a 20-gallon gas tank in it, I'll have BP on its knees in six months. They'll be GIVING gas away. That said, I know it'll never happen; there's just not enough physical space in these cars for the extra capacity.
    The Accord---by the books---holds 14.8 gallons. My SHO holds 18.5. Wish I could get the SHO tank in the Accord....just throwin' that out there...

      I would also love to see and AWD sedan available through Honda. I think there is a market for it in colder climates, like Colorado. I think it would be great to compete with Subaru on this level.

    this new accord needs a panoramic roof option and awd option. 100% needed. honda take into consideration. and finally the LPG & CNG versions for a lot of countries.

    I'm not a fan of turbo engines, but the way you sell this car is making me take a serious look once my 2013 Accord EXL v6 sedan gives out.
    The only things I can't get used to is the push button shifter, and a lack of CD player.
    Side note: the lumbar support is 4-way adjustable if I recall. So the driver seat has 12-way adjust all together. Now if they would give the front passenger an 8-way, that'd be great.

      CD players are getting harder and harder to find in new cars they’re gonna get phased out within the next couple years just like cassettes

    Also, why do my windows on my Sport turn Black in heavy hot sunlight?

    • @JustinFullerReviews
      @JustinFullerReviews  Před 4 lety

      They can be adjusted. There are a few screws that effect this under the hood. You can do it or ask the dealership to help out.Not sure on the window issue. Perhaps it is the tint the dealership used?

    I bought a 2020 Honda Accord Touring 2.0 in February 2020. Tomorrow, I am taking it back to the dealership to have a conversation re how to get a return onit, money or a new car. This car has been a problem: passenger mirror movement function doesn't work, phone connects intermittently, seats don't heat up with remote start, very annoying rattle behind driver dash after about one year of use, problems with remote start shutting down early, and most importantly the collision mitigation system has activated five times when nothing is in front of me. Paid cash for the car. Been to dealership multiple times over the last two years with these problems. If no resolvement tomorrow, lawyers will be getting involved to get a professional settlement. This is my third Accord. First two were great. This one is a POS and a total PIA. Second worst purchase I have ever made in my life. I despise this car.

    @18:54
    "Thumb drives work..."
    Honda provides zero information on which flash drives work, which flash drives do not work, and which flash drives they have tested (assuming they ever did any testing).
    Not all flash drives work.
    I tried a Samsung flash drive. The car detected it (the display gives you a small icon). But the car complained about it not being compatible.
    I tried two different Sandisk flash drives (different models). One was 128 GB and the other was 256 GB. Both worked. Western Digital is Sandisk's parent company, so those flash drive will probably also work (you'll have to buy and try to find out).
    Note that the Samsung flash drive works in other cars and in several computers. Honda just does not like something with the Samsung flash drive.
    The problem was unrelated to the formatting, which was FAT32 and exFAT (both formats worked for both Sandisk flash drives, and neither format worked for the Samsung drive).
    The manual states that the stereo will play mp3, wma, and aac type audio files. And that is true.
    Also true is that those are all bad choices, because they all prioritize file space at the expense of audio fidelity. All of the above formats are lossy. All of the above formats literally delete (discard) 50% or more of the audio content, in order to shrink the size of the audio files (like having a movie with over half of the frames missing, and your player adjusts the speed of the remaining frames to try and hide the loss of the deleted frames).
    Not mentioned in the manual is that the stereo will play "flac" files and "wav" files. Both are lossless, and both have the potential for the best sound quality (but you are still at the mercy of the record companies, that often do a poor job).
    And it gets more complicated:
    Yes, the stereo will play "flac" files, as high as 256 kHz at 24 bits (I have not tested higher -- I have nothing higher). But the stereo has trouble when you want to advance to the next song. It will take 3 seconds (which is an eternity, especially when wanting to skip ahead several times). And it will take 4 or 5 seconds, if the next song is in a different folder.
    Here is a fix, albeit not perfect:
    Convert your "flac" files to "wav" files (the sound quality will remain 100% the same). This fixes the delay of advancing to the next song -- it will be quick.
    But "wav" files have limitations with tagging (metadata). So some information gets lost. For example, you will not be able to search by "Artist".
    Also note that the stereo has some limits on either how many songs or how many folders or how many sub-folders it can manage. All I know is that many of my folders do not show up in the car, but do show up on my home stereo using the same flash drive. So I have exceeded some threshold design within the Accord's stereo. Which threshold / limit? More than one? Too time consuming to figure it out on my own.
    I have a ticket open with Honda for 10 days. Crossing my fingers to get an answer. I also asked them about which flash drives work, etc. They had no information and I was told that they would engage the personnel that had answers.
    Absent hearing from Honda, I will reach out to Panasonic (the head unit is from Panasonic -- try finding that in the manual or on-line).
    Justin:
    Very good, detailed review. It is the best and most accurate I have seen.
