Stumbled into this (and some of your other) video(s) when I was car shopping and it was super helpful in my shopping process. Thanks for what you do and keep up the great work!
Thank you for saying that! It really means a lot Christopher!
I love, love your humor....😂😂😂❤
I just upgraded from my white Accord Touring Hybrid 2017 to the champagne frost Accord Touring Hybrid 2020. I don"t have no complaints about these top of the line Accords...Upgrade people you only live once. I am a Care Provider and my clients love my car and the color.
Congrats and thank you for letting me share some laughs with you!
Thinking about getting the hybrid accord. I currently own a civic and I cant wait to upgrade.
Nathan it rides so smooth like putting soft butter on toast.....
@@snowvo1 It seems like it also has good power for a hybrid as well. Can't go wrong with a Honda!
Car and Driver recently made a Mid-size review comparison. The Honda Accord won 1st place.
You are so very right!
Dude, I love watching your reviews! The humor is a nice touch! I have a 2020 Accord EX-L. Definitely the best car I've owned. The interior isn't gawdy. It isn't cheap feeling or looking. Honda really nailed it with this one!
Definitely prefer this interior over the Camry's.
Great video, Joe 👌🏼
I am right there with you! Thank you for sharing your input!
Agreed Victor!
@@RaitisRides thank you for the review but there is no spare tire and the acceleration should be around 6.6 to 60
agree i just traded my camry for a 2020
I love the consistency of your videos and the humor. You make it so easy for all of us who want to learn.
Thanks John that really means so much! I appreciate your support!
Great video review Joe! I purchased a new 2019 base Hybrid Accord 3 weeks ago for $21,500 and LOVE it! In the warm weather I attained the 47 mpg average, and now with the cold snap, letting the car warm up a bit, average is down to 44 mpg, but still impressive! I don’t need to smash the gas for my normal driving, including on ramps and up hills, so it’s amazingly quiet, and very pleasant to drive.
Thanks Rick for the compliment! Congrats on your Accord Hybrid and thank you for sharing your thoughts on this one.
Which Trim did you get?
What trim u bought?
Rear USB is optional, as is the heated steering wheel, both of which I recommend if you negotiate the pricing down on them. Some dealerships want to charge quite a bit and others will do it for next to nothing.
I traded my 2013 Honda Accord EX-L for my new 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring. I couldn't be happier. I don't know why everybody doesn't move up to the Hybrid technology. There is NO loss of comfort or space in the 2019 vs. the 2013. I will admit that the 2013 had a nicer ride. But..... the 2019 handles way better than the 2013. We have 10,000 miles on our 2019 now. And as of yesterday we have averaged 42 mpg. If I look at trip mpg, I get over 48mpg on many trips. The Hybrid gets it. It has more HP than the 2013 which was 185hp. And it is very quick. I have reduced our gas costs by 40% or more. I did my research. Most of the reviews give the edge to the Honda Hybrid over the Camry Hybrid. This system is totally seamless. You have no idea what is going on unless you monitor it. You feel nothing. The only thing you will notice is more noise when the gas engine is used. Of course there is more noise......... there is none when you are in EV mode. This car has every safety monitoring system you could ask for. Yes............there are probably more, but not sure that would be useful. In 10 years electric cars will be the norm. So why not get ready, save a ton of gas, and reduce CO/CO2 output. I'm in. Very glad I went Hybrid. I need more range in an electric vehicle. So when that happens...........I will go electric.
Seriously, it’s much better than the base 1.5L version ..a full 1.5s faster with 15 mpg more in city for 1400$ more 😬 what’s wrong with the people
The point people don’t want to comprehend is “oh I get 36 MPG on my car “ ya but only on the highway .. this guy gets you 40mpg in bumper to bumper traffic 🤗
Really like how this man gos into the small details I didnt notice. It helped me actually like this design bc at 1st I hated it.
That is really wonderful of you to say! I appreciate your support!
I was just thinking about this car today and boom! Joe provides

I don’t want to get a hybrid because it’ll save money in gas, I mostly just want it because it helps lessen the carbon footprint.
nerd
Well, you’ll be disappointed to learn it doesn’t do that.
My favorite hybrid sedan! Nice video Joe.
Another great review. It’s extra great to see a review of the exact car I own. I love the paddles too. I feel like it will help my brake pads last longer.
I really like the efforts that Honda has done with the hybrid touring model. I agree with you though that with a touring model that they should include connectivity in the back seat. I recently bought a 2019 Civic Sport in the modern steel color bought I would have really preferred the "radiant red" shown here. Sadly they don't even offer it on the Civic. Thumbs up to you Joe, good job.
Thanks for those great points Rodney! I really appreciate your support!
I have the 19 hybrid Touring. You can get the rear seat chargers installed in the spot you mentioned as a dealer accessory. But I agree it should be standard.
We were looking for a roomy sedan with a 500 mile range. Decided on Accord Hybrid over Camry because Accord has better acceleration and likely better handling. I love the adaptive dampers.
I love the modern steel color with a chrome delete and black rims :)
As far as mpg my 2020 Accord Hybrid Touring I was getting 50 mpg on flat road driving 65 to 70 on the freeway. I like my car
How’s the maintenance thinking about this one or EXL 2.0 same year model 2020
In the long run Accord is probably the best car you can buy
Many would agree with you!
I must “on throttle” at least 10-12 times a day it’s fun in a safe area. This is a gem 💎 of a car for sure 😊
I like the way that you think Jimmy!
I am looking to get this car with that exact same color after I graduate college. Very useful video!
Not sure I agree about the noise, which you emphasize so much on your Accord hybrid reviews. I've test driven the 1.5 turbo sport as well as the hybrid. The 1.5 turbo has the same cvt transmission as the hybrid and screams as noticeably at full throttle. But its also noisy at slower speeds and at idle, whereas the hybrid is silent. The hybrid is also faster than the 1.5 turbo with the instant continuous acceleration and huge torque of the electric motor. Noise on pedal to the metal accelerations is forgivable. But between the annoying turbo lag and low speed noise and vibration at idle of the 1.5 turbo, I've been pushed in favor of the hybrid, and I wasn't even looking for a hybrid! Better mpg is simply a bonus. Bland wheels is the only "zonk", but that can be changed.
Thanks for sharing those great thoughts David!
Right on ! More Raitis reviews 😎👉👉
Thanks for letting me share it with you as always! I appreciate the support!
I thought the 2020 Accord and CR-V Hybrid did not even have a transmission. Electric Motors up to 45 mph, and then the Engine is engaged along with the Electric motors for everything above 45 mph. It's totally different from what all the other manufacturers are doing with gas hybrids.
I love your videos I love the accord . I always support you I like toyota then nissan then honda then acura videos of yours. And all other videos if yours.
I can't do it without your awesome support! Thanks for being part of the Raiti's Rides family!
I want a Honda Accord turbo charged v8, Wide body. Manual transmission, spoiler, quad exhaust tips.
Sounds like an Accord Type R to me.
James Gatz and Rear Wheel Drive
Amilkar Estrada ofc, with the option of awd. I think 400 hp is a good base number too.
I like the Camry SE Hybrid and the Accord Touring Hybrid. Both cars are winners in my book.
"Gotcha 3 ways; 3 for 3 ; basses loaded" 🤔💭💀

Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you!
If you want luxury and great gas mileage the accord touring is the way to go. Yes camry has better MPG but with the lower trims. If you add certain packages or get the fully loaded xse it drops the MPG 43/47 vs accords 48/47.
Huh weird. In Canada this exact accord comes with heated steering wheel and two 12v outlets for the back seat.
Canada built vehicles are usually slightly different than their American counterparts.
I actually love the CVT in my Ford Fusion Hybrid. It is weird at first but you get used to it quickly and nothing is smoother. You want shifting, get a stick!! But this exact Accord is top contender for replacing the Ford. Would have had another Fusion on my list too, but guess what, they don't make them anymore and I'm not going to get the same car for another 3 years (the 2020 is the same design as the 2018. So Ford loses my business.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your experience!
Well that broken up chrome strip on the back corners is something I can't unsee. Even left the trough where it should have been. Bizarre!
Forgettable looks on the outside but well done interior especially the use of wood. CVT is a complete miss!
Looked at Camry and the Honda and feel they come up short. Sonata Hybrid wins!
A+ review like always Mr.Raiti
Thank you. Fair and unbiased view points.
98 more days til I get the 2020 Honda Accord Touring 2.0 😍😍🙌🏽🙌🏽 The Accord is soooo beautiful in person! And the taillights are not a bad design
Congrats!
Love the gas mileage on this car. The exterior red is nice. The interior colors are in zonk city. $36k is a bit much for this vehicle. I can get a RAV4 hybrid for less than that. Another great video!!!
Joe, you can get the two power outlets for the rear seats as a $120 option!
Should already be there!
Yes it should
Hey Raiti, good video like always... but you mention not having the USB in the back.. you can have it in there if you add it during purchase..
It should be there already at this price.
@@RaitisRides I agree with you..
I just leased this car and im very happy. The only thing i do not like is the Hondalink is not perfect and the car doesnt tell you the tpms of your tires.
I have a 2017 Accord Hybrid Touring, and I'm waiting to upgrade to the new CR-V Hybrid (supposed to be released early 2020). I have to agree, that sometimes I'm hesitant to floor the pedal because of that CVT sound at max. But, it's something I tolerate. So it has changed my driving habits. I do miss the effortless power of a regular engine when climbing a grade though. But then again, I love the gas mileage. I do like the new version as Raiti just tested here though. Thank goodness they've moved the battery from the trunk to underneath the rear seats. That is one major complaint I have against the 2017 version that I've got now. Glad that they have added ventilated seats, but no rear moveable sunshades like the ones offered in Asia. I rarely use the Sport setting, and just keep it in Eco mode.
Thanks for sharing your great input and perspective Mark! It's always nice to hear from owners.
Great review. I agree with you about the interior. Honda knocked it out of the park there. I consider it to be the benchmark for this class of vehicle. I wish I could say the same for the exterior. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I know this is very subjective, but to me, the car looks bloated, the rear looks droopy, and it's just not a design that I care for. The front looks pretty good, but everything aft of there, not so much. It's too bad, too, because this seems really great car to drive, and it has a lot going for it. I just wish I liked the styling better.
I have the 2020 accord hybrid touring and its an amazing car. What i dont understand im getting 47/48mpg and in rare case 74mpg on Sport Mode. Whereas in Eco Mode I only get 38mpg to a high of 40.1mpg. Both in city and freeway in normal driving. I thought in Eco Mode I would get a higher mpg compared to Sport Mode. Can anyone explain why this is?
How are you liking it so far I’m thinking this exact one or a 2.0 EXL
thank u for filming this video
You are so very welcome!
Didn't mention anything above the base model for Camry Hybrid has the same mileage as this Accord, only the base has the 50+ mpg.
In your opinion is the Touring hybrid’s cabin noticeably quieter than the 2.0 turbo? Thanks.
Yes it is Chuck.
Joe! I’d love to see a review of a 2020 Scat Pack Challenger if you can get your hands on one once they hit the dealers. Seriously considering getting one next year! Love your stuff as always!

Your videos are the best! Keep it going brother!
It’s good to know that you think this car has a quiet interior. I’m trading up from my 2009 Honda Civic, and the one b-i-g complaint about my Civic is that it is so noisy. If I hear road noise on my test drive, I’ll walk away from the Accord hybrid.
I drove one and I was really happy
Did you buy it?
atotalidiot which trim did u drive ?
It's quite weird because in mine at 10:36 it has two USB port on the Hybrid Touring 2019.
That is weird!
You really love the Accord no problem with that oddly I’ve been interested in the Accord Touring 2.0t and Ford Mach-E
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Raiti's Rides No prob great content 🙂👌
Mach-E would be on my list too if not for one simple fact, it will not be available for lease when I need to replace my current car. And it will be much more expensive than this Accord if it were.
It’s 2022. Accord owners are trading their 19’s with the 17-inch wheels that came with this model year. With 19-inch on Accord Hybrid, mpg is much less.
Great video!!
Thanks for saying that brother!
No transmission. Honda calls it an eCVT, but it's utilizing the dual motors as a combination of a generator and direct drive motor.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective on this one.
That CVT is so much louder than the Camry Hybrid CVT you tested. That alone is enough for me to choose Camry.
Something about newer Honda's that I have to zonk is the side door window trims. Not a fan of the half chrome and half black . I liked it before as chrome all around.
I can understand where your zonk is coming from Sam!
I was waiting for a car reviewer to mention that Hybrids have better weight balance than the regular FWD versions due to batteries being at the back. But no one mentions that advantage. They all got stuck with the CVT being a worse choice transmission which I think not because a CVT transmission keeps the engine rev at optimum, according to the accelerator position and speed. .
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you letting me share it with you!
I like this car
I am so glad that I could share it with you Ezra!
I have had both the Carmy Hybrid and Honda Hybrid. The Honda is much better. It really isn't close. Kinda sad that Toyota cant make a good car.
I have a Honda hydride and it really drive nicely and it is fully loaded as well, I wonder when they bring a accord all wheel drive as in Canada it is important to have a all wheel drive
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective!
Accord interior is far more superior even comparable to European cars, but yeah the Camry, well, the Camry is a Toyota, thats it.
If we're talking about interior Mazda3/6 and Camry takes it home...I see what Honda is on tho
You are so very right!
Mazda is doing the business for sure!
That motor does NOT want you to stomp on the Loud Pedal. It sounds so pained, wants an actual gear shift. Sounds kinda like an outboard Evirnrude getting you out of the water on one ski. Not that good though.
I totally agree with you!
I would like to see a drag race between Camry Hybrid and Accord Hybrid. 1/8th mile would be fine
@Living Life Right. I test drove both of them and bought the Honda. I was not impressed by the Camry Hybrid.
@Living Life Should be fun! I have a hard time driving non-hybrid's now. I feel cheated when I have to brake, and realize that all of the energy is getting lost as heat, instead of charging.
@USA USA I wonder how the WRX does ride wise. I know my buddies STi is horrible to be in. Bumpiest, stiffest ride I've been in.
Rain sensing wipers too
This is a great car. Extremely reliable and bullet proof transmission. Love the Accord Hybrid.
Is the CVT a reliable transmission?
@@gautyable What is has is more reliable than any transmission, because it isn't the CVT you are thinking of. The engine usually isn't even connected mechanically to the wheels. The "eCVT" is entirely in electricity. Nothing to break.
Looks great in black 🖤
Does anyone know if this will be the same engine that will be used in the up coming hybrid CR-V?
I’m getting one this year!
You will love it Joseph!
Joe, atomic fireballs or everlasting gob-stoppers? Which ones are you tossing in your center armrest storage console for a Raiti roadtrip?
That's barbecue sweet sauce hot dog😂
I like the atomic fire-balls.
LMAO!
Not the best fuel saver but I like it better than the Camry. Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one Larry!
No hood struts. The Camry has hood struts.:) Like the humor. Agreed! What’s up with manufacturers not offering rear USB’s?
Thanks for letting me share this one with you Steve!
Is this color closer to maroon?
Wait does the power folding mirrors come on the accord hybrid touring or is that’s just how it came
It's on the touring!
Probably the longest mordern car. Also well said on the no usb in the back
Thanks for letting me share this one with you and thank you for sharing your thougths.
How does the accord hybrid acceleration compare to internal combustion accord?
The hybrid has a slightly faster 0-60 than the 1.5 turbo. No turbo lag.
@Raiti's Rides- Are you coming to the S.F international auto show later this month.
No I will not be able to make that on. I am in LA for the media days at the LA Auto show.
Love the review! Is there no heated steering wheel, or is that a North American only feature?
Ronnie V have to wait fews years later will add heated steering, heat rear seat, etc.
Thanks Ronnie for saying that. Yes there is.
Dmitry B the Accord has heated rear seats and heated steering wheel as a $400 option
No way they get the MPG as advertised more like 30 mpg
I'm 4:28 into the video, and not a single zonk yet! Will this be the first car on Raiti's Rides to get zero zonks? Don't spoil it for me! Dag nab it, I forgot that Honda has the prop Rod's for the hood that Joe isn't to fond of, automatic zonk!!🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
10:40 zonk for no rear seat USB ports.
A big zonk
No car can escape the zonk! LOL
You are on the money!
Yes sir!
Love the videos. Bought my Toyota because of you.
Why aren't front passenger seats evaluated? So many lack lumber support, and often dont have the ability to be raised, leaving the passenger sitting in an uncomfortable low position, unable to have a clear line of sight out the front window.
Thanks for the feedback. I will try to fit that in Bob!
"So many lack lumber support, [. . .]"

Wood that that were true.
I like the dash, button layout etc... CVT I would NEVER purchase one purely because of this. They are horrible. My next normal car just might be a Tesla... Good review !
Thanks for the compliment and for sharing your thoughts on this one.
What's wrong with a prop rod???
Struts need replacement when they go bad.
Struts cost more.
There is nothing wrong with a prop rod.
Agreed. Prop bods are way better than struts. My friend cursed as his hydraulic hood struts in his Volkswagon broke twice! His wife’s Audi had one that cracked on the left too.
The 1.5t comes with cvt. The hybrid has more power than the 1.5t my friend has hybrid and he fills up for $30 and get 550 miles on a full tank. My 2.0t accord last 240 😂
Can’t wait for a redesign or mid cycle refresh
I totally agree with you!
the dash I don't like how they killed the tach for the information. l like for the tach to be shown at all times
You can just leave it up. No harm, no foul.
Ehh I didn’t like the rims so I got the non hybrid touring....but I got mine for 27k! Instead of the 36k! Could talk them down on the hybrid...:(
0-60 should’ve been less than 7s..not sure how it’s 7.8s
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective!
You have to realize in this car the eCVT is mainly connecting the gas engine to the hybrid components that generate electricity. Most of the time the gas engine is just acting as a generator. It only powers the wheels directly when steady state cruising over 40 mph or so. That racing gas engine noise is because you are actually asking for a lot of electricity, so the gas engine turns at a constant high rpm to provide it.
You get used to it when you are getting in the 40s mpg in a large car around town but still have 0-60 in 7 second acceleration on tap.
I live in Tampa, and would be happy to take you for a ride to show you the details of the power flow meter so you can see when the gas engine is actually engaging the wheels.
This is so very true.
@@RaitisRides I have the 2018 Accord Touring Hybrid and in reality it has no transmission. It's a direct drive from the electric motor to the drive train. In sport mode it has a ton of acceleration especially starting out at low speeds.
The wheel design is just ok which is good so you won't see your car the next day on bricks
I totally agree with you Mark!
What i wished Honda would of done, is source out lightweight wheels for their hybrids. You all remember the 92-95 civic vx hatchback? 13” wheels that weighed 9lbs. This had that lean burned vtec-e 1.5l engine that netted great mpg. Also the civic coupe hx from 96-00 sported lightweight 14” wheels that weighed 11.5 lbs. and that model also got great mpg.
I dont know the weight of these 17s on this accord, but albeit they are heavy as hell. I know that in the name of safety modern cars gained some decent weight. Id just figured with the additional weight gained, that they would at least use lighter wheels.
I see some cars today with factory 19s, 20s, and sure they look good, but those low profile tires give it a harsh ride, plus they are expensive as hell. And of course weigh a lot.
I rather have a decent lightweight wheels that would in turn make it easier on the engine, less rotating mass, plus it makes your suspension work more efficiently.
Where is the interior ambient lighting that comes with the 2020 accord hybrid touring as advertised in the Honda website?????????
Only in the door handles and one at top where the sunroof controls is. They have floor ambient lighting for a dealer accessory item
@@scorefreak32 i own the 2020 accord hybrid touring. No ambient lighting.
@@georgea.3000 I own a 2018 touring and have it.
Please CRV 2020 review ☺️
well honda took the gear shift lever so I can not hold it
Is that a add-on sticker on the windshield?
Good question.
If I install the 19"Sport Wheels from the Sport Model Accord, how many MPG would I lose?
Roughly 3 or 4 mpg off the top
I don't understand why you would do that.....lose gas mileage PLUS you would feel every little bumps & ruts on the road for a horrible ride. (I test drove an Accord Sport & it was horrible)
HenryHonda the 19 wheel looks best
That is a really great question.
HenryHonda, not just that, albeit it adds a significant amount of weight defeating thr purpose of it being a hybrid. Slows it down even more, loses mpgs, more expensive tires to replace.
But hey some want to look “good”
While others prefer functionality
Function over form
Hey Joe, now that your making the big CZcams money maybe one day you can hook us up with a free car, you can be the raiti Winfrey
LOL! I am not there yet Daniel, but once I am I would love to do something like that.
there is no CVT transmission in this car. It's an 'eCVT' which has nothing to do with a CVT actually...

Its NOT a CVT. It has zero transmission, no cvt belt, its more of a direct drive from the Electric motor.
I thought there was no transmission but direct drive from an electric motor or engine through a direct drive clutch
There is no mechanical transmission. The result, of having the CVT rev rapidly, is the same.
Nothing about the adaptive suspension on this touring 🤔
