I have a 2020 Accord Hybrid and don't mind the buttons, but more importantly, push buttons don't get in the way of drinks in the cupholders or access to the USB chargers like the stick shifter does. The stick shifter is purely a tactical conceit for people who like to grab on to it. Big shifters are a waste of space.

The push button shifter was one of the best parts of the GEN10 Accord. The only reason to not like it is that you don't want to learn something new, even if it takes maybe driving the car three times to do so. Lazy reviewers convinced drivers that they shouldn't like it, so they don't try, either.
The stick you love so much doesn't do anything except actuate the same switches that the buttons did. With one exception: the stick has go be in the "P" position for the car to be in park. With the buttons, they can be software controlled. The GEN10 can shift automatically into Park, and release and apply the parking brake automatically.
So in a typical drive, I need only four button presses:
    1) I press the power button to start the car.
    2) Without looking, I swipe my hand down along the button array. The "R" button is recessed, so this action finds it and presses it. Pressing the accelerator releases the parking brake.
    3) After backing out of my driveway, I press the "D" button which is easy to find by feel, as it has a raised rim.
    4) While the drive is over, I press the power button to shift into Park, apply the parking brake, and turn the car off.
Three-point (or five, or seven) turns are trivial, since the position of the "R" and "D" buttons allow them to be operated pretty much as a rocker switch.

I couldn't disagree more with your assessment of the 11th gen regarding its appearance. The 10th gen, in my opinion, is much shaper looking. Also, the interior is a step back as well. Taking away the faux wood and replacing it with the honeycomb cheapens the look and makes it less classy. I'm sure, though, that the tech in the 11th gen will be an improvement over the 10th, which is abysmal. And don't get me started on automakers' insistence on going full electric. Hopefully, by then, you'll be able to charge it as fast as you can fill up a car with gas. If I didn't have a 10th gen already and was in the market, I'd be skipping this car, and I've owned Hondas exclusively since 1995!

All the honda hybrids have had this transmission for a while. Basically, the motor is just a generator, not powering the wheels until around 40 so MPH, when the clutch locks up the wheels to the motor. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's how it works.

I searched for and bought a new 2020 1.5T Sport with the 6spd, before it became apparent that Honda had stopped building them with manuals. They were few and far between when I was looking in early 2020, I never saw the 2.0L/6spd unicorn come through any of my nearby dealers. So glad I found this one though- it's not the 2L motor but it's a lot of fun with the manual. And it's surprisingly efficient-- I get 39+ mpg on road trips. Granted, it did have a valve cover leak at 16k miles (repaired under warranty), so I'm a little worried about its longevity compared the old days of being able to unapologetically pile miles onto Hondas...

I own a 2018 Accord touring hybrid and it gets 47,47,47 mpg and is 212 hp. Sounds like Honda is regressing. Under ideal conditions I can get over 50 mpg. Mine does not have a CVT and I doubt the 2023 has a CVT.

There is NO CVT in the Hybrid Accord. Whether it’s 10th gen or 11th gen. The Hybrid Accord uses an electric motor to propel the car below 45 mph, and after around that speed, the car uses a single speed direct drive gear. The only reason the window sticker calls it a CVT is because nobody knows what a direct drive system is. They do it for simplicity. Though they should’ve labeled it “eCVT” at least.
The new Accord Hybrid now has simulated shift points so that it doesn’t sound droney and terrible while accelerating under load.

I leased a 22 Civic hatchback at the end of 2021 so next year when my lease is up I think I’m going to buy a used 10th gen Accord. I just think it looks better in my opinion. Plus my civic has so many creeks and rattles I don’t know if the new accord would be any better.

Civic’s are usually more cheaply built, and my experience with the accords is they’ve always been built a little bit better than a civic.

I had a 2019 Honda Accord in gold brand new and to be honest that car looked like an Acura outside, it had a luxury look. The new accord doesn’t really but I still like it

Roman- First review of yours I've seen.Excellent.Tks to you and videographer.Loved the comparison between '22 & '23. A broad smile when I saw shifter handle iso buttons.I love my '15 Mazda 3 6-spd but ready to go hybrid.Civic hybrid due out in summer but think mid size will be more comfortable.I'll check some of your other videos but hope/think '23 or '24 in my future.Rick/78/Seattle🤓

10th gen looks so much better and was geared to everyone. Even those who wanted something sporty 2.0t 6sp was my favorite iteration, but auto touring was a strong opinion.

Awesome review! Finally they are coming out! I'm going from a 99' Honda Civic to the Accord and I love the 23' Accord. I'm not a performance car guy, so my standards are: a combination of simplicity and elogancy, affordability, efficiency, and tech. The 23' Accord has all of that. This might very well be my next car. Can't wait to test drive!

You and the 95% of ignorant Accord buyers are the reason that Honda stopped selling the v6 and 2.0T
The v6 and 2.0T have similar mpg in real world driving than the 4 cylinders or 1.5T vs 2.0T but the highway MPG is where the 3.5 & 2.0T shines over the smaller engines with better mpg , performance, reliability, driving experience without treating it like a race car.

100% this. I'm an old man and this is what I look for. Definitely going to test drive this new Accord

Honda probably mean "no CVT" in the sense of a component; the effective drive ratios are created by the electric motors' rotational speed and direction.

My advice is to snap up a 10th gen 2.0T while you still can since it is absolutely a far superior car to drive than this new hybrid POS. The current Accord remains an awesome car that can be had at a discount now that the new one is coming out. Keep your hybrids and EVs Honda; No thanks…

Please to do a 2022 2.0 vs 2023 2.0 drag race, just curious about the performance loss to get the 44 mgp
I understand the 2.0 of 10 gen did not sell well.

I totally disagree with you on the styling for me the 2018-2022 has much more elegance to it
