Damn, this is melodious as HELL. This sits right in the sweet spot in your voice. An early voice teacher of mine once described a “sob” in my voice (positively) - I think you have a kind of “moan” in yours when it’s in that sweet spot - very lyrical and affecting. Do you notice a certain feel in those areas (if you know what I’m talking about)? I’m sure it’s also highlighted in this song because of your long relationship to it, as we’ve discussed in relation to other long-known tunes. I really associate this song with you (esp. the key lyric which you used to quote a lot). It responds really beautifully to this interpretive style… I notice the throbbing bass notes and the gently lilting finger patterns as counterpoints to the expressive surges of the voice… really touching!

I know exactly what you're talking about, when a song just flows right out, and I'm not having to push up or down too much. I think it does happen more with songs like this that I have have heard and played so many times. There's a feeling that I can manipulate that "effect" a little bit for punctuation. Almost a little bit of Arturo's famous "eyebrows."
