Great vocal on this… I don’t remember this song from that time. Do you think that the original lyric is about hitting rock bottom and finding Jesus? It really suits your voice, whatever your interpretation of the words, and it feels like it comes from you. Also, the guitar has real expressive range here. And I like the idea of “feeling bad is not enough”… I’ve been thinking about that a lot recently.
@isaiahsays Thank you! ❤️🙏 There is for sure an aspect of finding Jesus to the words, source considered, but I think the intention goes beyond that. I've always felt that JoC wrote songs SPECIFICALLY to have readily available interpretation duality. Some of the interviews I've read with them seem to confirm that as well. "Feeling bad is not enough" is a very succinct expression of how I see this song. I can explain what this song means to me more in person, as it has an important place in the JA musical mythlore. 🥲❤️🩹
This is great. I really like how brittle the strings sound at the start, and then changes in tempo with the slow ending. Lovely.
Thank you Justine! 🙏❤️ I love the original, but I felt it needed a bit more dynamic variance done alone with one instrument.
Nicely done!
Thank you! 🙏 This band was huge for me as a teenager!
Well done J! 💚☺💚
Thank you Kim! 💚
