The prosecution barrister was in Fawlty Towers (the anniversary episode) and the defence barrister was in EastEnders again in 1996 as a police inspector with a cockney accent
You can date it by the fact that the court allowed how Cathy dressed as evidence. If you brought that into a rape case today you would be shunned and rightly so
@@royfr8136 yes a drama that was researched highly at the time. Corrie, EE and Emmerdale production teams all make sure that stories that make it to screens are somehow based on reality. Yes it may be dramatised, but some stories, like these ones, the productions go out there way to talk to charities, organisations and other research to make sure that the stories reflect real life. You hear stories all the time of people going to get checked for cancer or mental health issues because they saw it on the programme and it just happened to reflect their IRL circumstances.
I recognise the actor playing the other judge from the Gentle Touch too. A number of the early years cast had small roles in the first series too - Ross Davidson, Shirley Cheriton, Sandy Ratcliff and I think Gillian too.
I know this might be a while before this happens but is there any chance that when it gets to the early 2000s when Johnny Allen turns up on the square could you do a video on the Mitchell brothers vs Johnny Allen from 2005 to 20006 please
You know this storyline came around due to Dens exit. Brown had been a permanent character for 2 or 3 yrs and writers wanted Dens imprisonment to draw sympathy from viewers. It worked out brilliantly.
Den was no angel but he drew the line at certain things. And because Kathy was his best friend's wife, he took it upon himself to get in bed with the firm, even at his own cost.
Not true. The storyline was already in planning when they realised they needed Den in prison. This stoyline WASN'T invented purely because Den was leaving.
CZcams has 99 problems but autogenerated video categories arent one. Only the CZcams channel can decide what category the video goes under so its probably an oversight of the uploader.
James wilmot-brown one of the original notorious creepy villains.EastEnders has ever had.
Recognised Kathy immediately even though it's filmed 3 years before I was born. She doesn't seem to age.
She’s always been a little raver
A crown court the size of a telephone box. Carry on Crown Court.
Surprised Pete would have sat so closely to the witness box

Anybody else notice Emmerdale is Kim Tate in the jury
I thought that tbh
The sexism in this scene is revolting to say the least!
Was 30 yrs ago though
This is what rape trials were like. They're described as "the second rape".
Theres been some reforms but it's still not much better.

Try a custody battle between mother ad father then and these days....Plus this is 30 years ago and...a drama.

9:09 That looks like a young Claire King on the left on the back row there!!!
I thought the same too
The main judge has also appeared in Corrie during Deirdre’s trial, maybe other court stories. Pauline bigging up the Beales!
I thought it was him

Sure, if it gets that far
@@csedeeuploads6930 Thank you
And are you the same Albert Gladstone Trotter who fell down the Ship and Anchor in 1964, or the Good intent does that ring a bell
Kathy looks really nice in this scene.
I know the day when this happened
It was dirty den and brad from the firm who fire bombed the Dagmar!

2:09 That was an incredibly weak argument, especially without evidence to back it up.
Kim Tate of Emmerdale (Claire King) is on the jury at the back, far left!
Good old Kim
Yeah I noticed that.
Well if she gets a line not finished the clip yet
He was reformed
Who else came here because this storyline was mentioned in tonight's episode
Can’t remember how was this mentioned?
