Just watched for the first time since it aired 22 years ago. Can remember that final verdict scene like it was yesterday. It was the most unforgettable week of Eastenders for me. This whole Saskia/Steve storyline was what first ever got me glued to Eastenders. Great stuff.

Ok Mel 's maiden name is Healey actually,I didnt know.
Matthew makes me sad !
Like in the U.S. Defendents read the amendment swearing God to tell the truth and only but the truth.
In France ,they don't swear God .
Relation between Steve and Matthew makes me think a little bit about the relation between Schillinger and Beecher in Oz .
Beecher is the victim,humiliated but later becomes a beast .
Matthew has been longtime scared of Steve but later becomes toughened and got his revenge on him.
