Phil's drinking is out of control. He nearly put Thier son in danger . He needs to help himself and go to rehab and do this for himself,for Kathy and Ben
This is when phils problems really Started and led uo to him having problems till just recently. Over the years he becamw more and more angry and more dangerous
A shame he's become a nothing character, that comes and goes now...And when he's around just shouts at a few people, and smashes some place up with a baseball bat lol. Steve Mcfadden has a contract that allows him 4 months a year off or something, a shame as his character has less impact than before.
Sure, and people want Grant to come back, but it'd never be as it was before. When he came back in 2016 it was an anticlimax, He came and went away 3 times, no consistancy with the story, and he didn't interact with anyone in the Square, only his family and the Slater sister that's not there anymore. In general Eastender is rubbish now if you compare it to 15/20 years ago. No strong characters, and that Hayley creature gives me the creeps lol!
I give it two years and Steve McFadden will finally have enough and decide his character should be killed off. He is getting too old now for the role of a hardnut. I think he's holding on until he has done his 30 years then he will finally leave.
@@chrisrowe7503 Yes mate it's a possibility. They tried to mellow him a few years back with a previous producer before Carl White showed up, Phil dressed in a suited jacket, not casual. But after that he returned to his 90s look almost. And yes he is looking a bit past it now already, nearly 60! Funny thing is, Kaunu reminds me of a young Phil from nearly 30 years ago, gentle, but at the same time not scared of anyone. Appearently that's what we're going to see soon when Phil comes back and finds out.
I loved Phil and Kathy back in the 90s. They were a great couple and really loved each other. Phil’s still my favourite but I think they ruined his character over the years.
Not the writers fault.. its the way society is now.. wet, wimps, everything is assault, calling the cops for every minor thing.. if they showed this now there would be protests of under 30s outside the bbc
