For my money we're looking at easily one of the most underrated bassist in Rock N Roll (especially from 80s) Dana Strum. Great tone, technique, writing and he absolutely kills performing Motley Crue classics as Vince Neil's bassist as well. I was fortunate enough to see Slaughter with Kip Winger, Whitesnake and the all original Warrant back in 2003 at The Universal Ampitheatre and they crushed it. Needless to say nothing's changed since.
What a great band, besides that they always stayed true to the genre when some bands ran in the other direction. For instance, I heard Metallica once say during an interview that "they weren't a Heavy Metal band, they were hard rock". All of them sitting there fresh from the barber shop, I started thinking the same thing,
His voice was drowned out by the music Glad to see the original bassist Arcadia Theater not a good rock music venue..remember these were built for theater and plays back in the 1920s so acoustically not good…Welcome back! 2022 The Return of Metal Music…
Wow, haven’t listened to Slaughter in years and remember seeing them live as a kid twice and they were incredible. Mark sadly needs to hang it up because he just doesn’t have it and just screaming the words doesn’t cut it. Plus when did Dana start looking like an old Jewish grandmother? lol
He destroyed his voice because a bad technique not for aging, he always had a bad technique, pushing so much air and raspy voice bad technique, the age its not a reason, check the MYLES KENNEDY voice and technique and see how he does it, and he is like that because he went with a vocal coach, the same CHRIS CORNELL vocal coach. He relearned to sing.
It's actually kinda sad how these hair metal bands once had the world by the balls, but their time is long passed, they don't know how to do anything else, and they're reduced to playing bars and county fairs just to make ends meet.
@@Thats_Unfortunate Because Mark is really not all that famous. When Slaughter entered the scene in 1990 it looked as if these guys (along with newcomers like Firehouse and Saigon Kick) were absolutely destined to lead the charge in a new generation of hair metal. The first album from Slaughter is awesome. October 15, 2022.
Mark Slaughter had one of the best singing/ screaming voices in rock. I bet Mark wishes he'd looked after his million dollar instrument better. Who knew hed still want to be singing at 50+ duh !
I just saw them last night. The instruments over powered his voice. I think they do this purposefully because Mark can’t sing as good as he used to. It’s a damn shame. I wish I saw them in the 90’s

It’s cool to these these old bands at it still but doesn’t hold a candle to what it use to be!
Age takes a toll on everyone!
Great video footage
All the days gone by....but slaughter are still kicking some fking ass. .tks bros

Love their songs , sing them around the house all the time!
Seem them 2 weeks ago in Biloxi and they kicked serious ass ! Absolutely phenomenal !
No matter what Mark, we still love you!
Totally fucking sad….hate it when singers get old…love these guys. 😢
They always put on a great show...
Will HUNT Killing it on drums!!!!!!!
Hell yeah!!!!
That's not blas?

Great white don't have their original singer
He's a good singer , cool hair dude!

@Baldmelon I bet he still hits higher notes than you ever have 😎
MARK BLOWS KIP AWAY!!!!! WHAT A VOICE!!!!! KIP ISN'T WORTHY OF GIVING DANA A RIM JOB!
hell yaaaaaa, they still got it!!!!
Dana looking like 'The Wrestler' here. He need to turn that bass theF down.
They need to bring Shout It Out back to life.
I wish
There was a time no one could touch Mark vocally, sadly nobody wants to nowadays. What a shame
True
woww camera good sound
Is there any live version for "Game me Your Heart" ? I can't find it on You Tube.
Nice to see Dana Strum back
where did he go
he sounds nice on days gone by. needs to sing more songs like that or rework others
Bassist Dana Strum is who introduced Ozzy to Randy Rhodes and set up his audition.

Steelheart and Slaughter are performing on the same day in Sandusky, Ohio for Bike week next month

He has been in The Blue Man Group in Vegas for decades
He's playing in Trans Siberian Orchestra and other bands in Vegas.
I miss Blas playing drums on Slaughter

tonight I will see him in LIma
mark slaughter destroyed his beautiful voice. obviously all the years have done damage. still a great show. but damn
Come one the guy is 57 mate! I don't think anyone is able to hit those notes at that age due to basic biology (wear and tear)

Hey!! Mark Slaughter stole the Vince Neil band!!!
Other way around Dana Strum has always been in Slaughter and Jeff Blandini took Tim Kelley's place when he died.
so bad that Mark lost his voice ...like Vince from the CRUE

Mark Slaughter should start a Vinnie Vincent Cover band. He should call it "Slaughter's Invasion."
