Slaughter was amazing, but so short lived. They probably thought all this intoxicating stardom would last forever, but their time had already passed by the time they released their 2nd album.
It sucks, slaughter is a seriously good band, I got their first two albums on cassette around somewhere as well as the stick it live ep, did u like the second album at all? I did
@@agentaxl6377 Yeah, I liked the second album. That final wave of big time glam bands (Slaughter, Warrant, Firehouse, Saigon Kick, Killer Dwarfs) were some of the best bands of the era. Warrant got in two platinum selling albums before they fell into obscurity, but the others only got one.
I seen slaughter on this tour when they opened for KISS in 1990 and in 1997 I got to meet the band at a meet and greet they were all super nice Guys especially the late Tim Kelly RIP Tim
It's so big it almost sounds like there's a 2nd guitar doubled an octave higher. Must be one helluva rack effect producing separate pinch harmonics and string vibrato in different places.
I born right in the middle of the best decade ever in 87 but I got to experience the 90s i guess which had great music too can't deny that can't complain
This was filmed mostly at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, I was at this concert and remember it being filmed, the lineup was Slaughter, Winger, Kiss.
I seen Slaughter back in 89 or 90 I forgot but they opened up for Kiss at Dayton hara arena very awesome concert plus there was another band that played before slaughter they were called Little Caesar they were pretty good as well
Fellow Daytonian here. I miss Hara so much. Never caught Slaughter there, but I saw so many other great bands all throughout the 90's. Booking a show at Hara was a rite of passage for every rock n roll band. Landing a show at Hara meant you were on the pathway to fame.
@HarlequinBuckeye . .fellow Dayton resident too. Fond memories of hara, saw David Bowie about 1971 or 1972, he was Ziggy Stardust and the whole thing was just a blur. Best time of my life.
OMG!!!🤘!, first find on this video take of this spectacular band for me, I've seen their past and all are very accomplished players, but? Is this new?, Mark looks fantastic here, however, I'd seen a few years back where he had put on some significant weight, ( haven't some of all the same right?!) Can anyone give me some insight as to what year this clip is from?
Yeah, by the time they arrived, unbeknownst to them or anyone else, hair metal was just about to be shown the door. By the time they released their 2nd album they were already has beens. Same with Firehouse, another late arrival to the party. They never even made it to arena headliners. They opened arena shows for more established bands, but they never made it past clubs as a headliner.
Tim Kelly... Gawd dang he was right there. Great playing and perfect for this band at this time. All these young girls "hanging out" w the band... None of em thought about a rape lawsuit back then. They just wanted to touch the sun for a few hours on a Sat. night. Have the bragging rights of saying they banged a rock star. Now? Law suit city! How about Rikki Rockett from Poison? Guy goes on vacation to Mexico or whatever, comes back into the US and is arrested immediately on an arrest warrant for a rape charge. Wtf?! Ain't easy bein a rock star these days. No more luxury poontang for band dudes! Not affordable! Where have all the good times gone?
I lived the 80's, and it was awesome!!! I used to work security at concerts, so I got to see a lot of bands, for free, back around 1989, and those were some crazy times, lol!!
80’s metal was a fun ride to experience. Saw some great shows that decade.

I wish it could be 1990 all over again. I have more albums from this year than any other year.

Tim Kelly’s tone is RIPPING on this. Just a massive sound.
F-in WAILIN' BRO!
@@stevencharron3866 sheesh you made me actually laugh out loud but I agree bro 😎
I agree. Tasteful melodic playing withe right amount of flash. After Mark had to deal with vinnie vincent..

Few are better live than studio they are among the few
Man this guy’s vocals are so powerful during the chorus that it doesn’t even seem real. Lol
This is riddled with overdubs not to mention a chunk of the crew backstage with mics filling in the backing for the chorus.
You got that right!
Which guitar in the lead is the live one? I'm thinking the lower octave (right pan) since it follows closer to the fretboard positioning.
Exactly what goes on backstage 😂

And just one year after they became no one again.

I was born in 1995 and feel the same way, still do to this day.
Imagine no cell phones. Just hanging out watching music and partying.
Wow let them breathe
