  • This is my successful attempt at replacing the hub bearing assembly on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD. You should always get your vehicle serviced by a certified mechanic if you can. Results are not guaranteed and working on your car yourself is at your own risk. Good luck.

This is not easy without a long stroke air hammer, a hub buster, axle kit or a hub grappler. Good job! One think I found useful was to thread the three bolts in a little way and tap on the heads of the bolts, protected by a socket you don't mind pounding on. Once it moves a little, penetrating oil can get in there. Remember to smear a little antiseize onto the contact surface, to help out the next guy.

I saw where a guy used a grease insert. In place of the abs line. So you can have a grease insert. Because dodge made them without grease inserts.

If you remove your hub you can get yer CV axles in and out you wouldn’t have to remove ball joints make it all dangle and possibly screw up alignment

If u could hold the camera still, it would be helpful. Otherwise can't watch, motion sickness occurs.
