- Demo of an alternative technique when prepping your gun for stippling.
Keep in mind that this may vary dependent on the tip you wan to finish with, and the type of gun you are starting with. For example, a Gen 4 Glock does not take near as much prep as a Gen 3.
As mentioned in the video, the amount of prep work also depends on the tip you plan on using. Visit www.otdefense.com for more info and to purchase firearm stippling tips. - Sport
This makes more sense to me cause your not reducing the thickness of the polymer frame. Thanks man.
Might try this on my beretta apx. If it ruins it I will just get a new frame. Thanks for the ideal
So if I have a stippled frame and I want to restipple it, would doing this same thing be better than sanding in your opinion?
Depending on what texture you wanted to stipple it with, and what it was stippled with already- if it is pretty aggressive now I would, if it is really light now probably would not worry about it myself.
What wood burner and/or how many watts do you recommend?
I use a USA made Well Lenk wood burner. I recommend 25 watts.
Heat control is by far the most important part of stippling, pre set irons are WAY to hot if its smoking its too hot you get much better results with a adjustable iron
Does this work for the finger groove removal?
Finger groove removal I would not recommend this technique for.
