  • Dolly Alfred and her mother, Susie Alfred, are from the Tsayu (beaver) clan located in northwest British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Wet'suwet'en. They are both Witsuwit'en speakers. In July 2022, they were invited to be a part of a team of Indigenous language interpreters who translated the Pope’s apology to residential school Survivors during the live event.
