Jay G yea, it was good when I was 12.
How was the R boys? Worth the hype? Do let me knowww
I recently re-read Six of Crows and I am currently re-reading Crooked Kingdom and couldn't be enjoying it more! And thank you for mentioning The Night Circus so often in your videos because it made me pick it up and I loved it!
Hannah because of you I went out and got the Six of Crows duology, The infernal devices and even asked for the Night Circus for my birthday😄 I'm currently in the middle of reading Clockwork Princess and I honestly can't tell you how much I love it ❤❤ I always come to you for reviews and your opinions on books and I'm so glad I do because you recommend books I know I'll like. Thanks for another great video 😊
Aaminah Farooq This makes me so happy! I’m so glad you’re loving the book and I hope you love the rest! 💓☺️
I'M SO READY FOR ALL YOUR FANTASY RECOMMENDATIONS
Me too
You are an amaaaaaaaazing book tuber and I always pay heed to your recommendations because we all know they're amongst the best out there. Much love.💕
I'm currently reading The Raven Boys and am loving it so much! I actually heard about this series first from your videos, so thank you for the recommendation 😊
Yes! I am so excited for this video!! And I would love to see a video on fantasy books you want to read in the future! 😍
I did a happy dance when I saw this pop up because who needs to read history homework when you've uploaded a 20-minute video?
So glad you mentioned An ember in the ashes! Such a good series, and I feel like it doesn't get all the love it deserves!
Listening to Hannah’s video ( because her voice is so calming and makes me want to read) while reading The Night Circus ( it really is an amazing book)
It's always dangerous watching your videos! Now I need even more new books on my shelf! :D
HANNAH THIS WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL AND GREAT ASMR VIDEO
this video just reminded me how much i love your channel and how eloquently you speak which is so so so lovely
YES HANNAH , Do the Fantasy TBR!
Thanks for recommending Strange the Dreamer. Started it today and i'm already 36% in. The writing is lovely and i've enjoyed every page of it.
I'm already getting some of the others you've recommended in this video.
Thanks a lot!
omg you finally explained the raven cycle in a way that sounds like what it is! I can't explain it whenever someone asks me what it's about. It's so difficult to describe (even though it's like the best thing ever)
Currently reading the night circus because of you and I'm loving it so far 😊❤️
I'm currently reading the Clockwork Princess from the Infernal Devices trilogy and I'M IN LOVE! ❤😍
The shades of magic trilogy and strange the dreamer are definitely my fantasy favourites as well! Currently rereading Harry Potter and the goblet of fire, and its just uuuuurghhhh nostalgia and crazy over flowing love... I love this series like it was my brother
An ember in the ashes is one of my favorite series of all time!!! I fell in love with the characters instantly and that is shocking cause it has never been in my case to like a character this easily!♥️
Definitely recommending it to all of you cause it is the best book you'll ever read, I promise😉
Yes really...!!!! An ember in the ashes is just sooo good!!!.... it's mine one of my favorites of all times too!!! .... I love laia and Elias and everyone sooooo much!!!!
It's crazy how our favourites are so similar! I love literally all the books you just talked about (TNC is my all time fav too ❤️), apart from strange the dreamer which is on my Christmas list, and an ember in the ashes which is in my TBR pile and if you loved it then I'm sure I will too! Great video, I loved hearing you gush about all my favourites 😊
I started reading the raven cycle recently, I am already halfway into the raven king, thanks to you, but now my reading list grew very much longer because I know nearly non of the books you talked about here and they all sounded soooo good
I recently read the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series because of you and OMG I loved it sooo much! I think about re-reading them all the time.
I realized lots of the recommendations here already were in my tbr list but now I got a reminder and new excitement to get to them already! I had forgotten some of these I didn't even know I had them in my tbr till I went to goodreads and saw it already labeled as Want To Read haha but omg you are truly an intellectual for loving The Infernal Devices the most 😍😭 I love that series so much too and literally everything you said are my exact opinions on it 😭😭💕
Carry On is my favorite book ever so far! I love itttt so much the romance is perfect and I’m not normally one for romance but I love it. You laugh and you cry and I love it!!!
Finally, a video about books with no ads inside. Thank you!
I really love your voice, it's just so satisfying to listen you talking ❤
Harry is probably my favorite series as well ❤️
I just finished reading the first book in the Raven Boys, it was so good I have to buy the next one. I also just recently bought the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series and now that you've given so much praise to it, so now I'm pumped to read it. Your channel is so inspirational and I adore watching your videos 💕
I'm so glad someone FINALLY brought up the dsom series, absolutely one of my favorite and deserves more recognition.
Thanks for all the suggestions, can’t wait to start reading! Like maybe 60% of your listed favs are definitely mutually loved and the others I haven’t herd of but plan to turn that around now, thanks to your reviews! I know you make this post quiet a bit of time ago and if you’re as much of a fan to fantasy as I am (which I would say is almost a given) then I must suggest to you a rather new book which was released only earlier this year in March I believe, Crescent City by Sarah Mass. From even the point where I had only read half way thru the book, I knew it would be and I fact has become my absolute favorite read of all time. A very long read yes, but for every page you read, you in turn take something so amazing into your heart and mind and would to carry in the world with you. Like I mention, I know you posted a long time ago so I’m sure you’ve possibly already read this book by now but this is just my small contribution back to you just Incase you haven’t!
Great video! I love fantasy as well so thank you for the recommendations! And I totally agree about victoria schwab, she's amazing! Eveything she writes turns to gold!
Diplomat of Uram will always be one of my favorites. Great list by the way.
Your makeup is goals to me tbh😍 loved all the books you showed, good video!
Yasss!! I’m extremely in love with the Raven Cycle series, it has always been my all time favorite series ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the all the videos! Just watched this one cause I'm new to your channel. Now my TBR is COMPLETELY out of control. Thank you! 😁 Happy reading everyone 😃
I just love every book of your list everytime I see a favourites video of yours I know there is only good to come! I almost thought you would not include the darker shade of magic series but of course the best comes last
I'm so happy that you love An Ember in the Ashes!!!!! I read it for a school project, and fell in love with it too!! I agree with your thoughts on the romance. It's so cute and I am excited to hear what you think of the second book! I also think the romance has a purpose, as it saves Laia and Elias multiple times. I'm just so excited to hear that another person loves the book!!!
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your Tumblr feed, which lead me here! My fantasy shelf on Goodreads will be full and cozy :)
I love your channel so much! You inspire me to read every day! I love your content and keep up the great work
i love your videos and i’m so excited about this one!!! just added nearly all of these to my list!!!
Fantasy is my jam for everything from films, to television shows, to books to video games. I absolutely adore it in every aspect of my life. My fave game series is Final Fantasy haha. It is what I go to for an escape. Thank you for so many intriguing and amazing book recommendations.
I added more than 50 books in my liba after watching your vids and I'm totally excited aaaA
omgg!! I'm reading the Raven Boys right now and I'm absolutely loving it! After 2 days I already read 2/3 of it and I can't get enough! 10/10 highly recommend!
You got me. I just picked up the Night Circus at the library because of you 😉 just read the full synopsis and I CAN NOT WAIT to jump right into it! I am sure I will love it ❤️🖤❤️
When you brought up/revealed the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy I nearly squealed😂The trilogy is most likely my most favorite fantasy series (after the Percy Jackson books which are also most dear to my childhood heart). Literally everytime someone asks for book recommendations I have to bring that series up since it was just that good to me! The deep admiration, appreciation, and simple enjoyment I have for the trilogy astounds me sometimes. So glad it was on this list
You showed my A Darker Shade of Magic and I can't thank you enough! I am in love with it!
Just discovered this video and your channel and I am so so excited to delve into these books!
I swear you're my bookish soul mate, either everything on this list are already my favourites or are next up on my TBR!
I love the way you described the books. Genuine and sincere.
I’ve read the Night circus and the Clockwork trilogy because of this video and I‘m soooo in love thank you so much 🥺❤️
I remember how I just shut my world off when I binged on A Darker Shade of Magic series. Definitely one of my faves 💙💙💙
The Night Circus is one of my all time favourite books! It's so enchanting and theatrical. I love it so much.
The Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan is one I would recommend. It is a fantasy, centring around a teenager named Sonea, who lives in a slum and develops magical abilities. It also explores issues such as class divide and sexuality. The first book is a little slow to start, but it does get very engrossing, and the subsequent books are stronger.
😊Thank you so much for sharing these! I’ve been looking for *more* books to read. I’m a bookworm for books. I can’t wait to try reading these books! 🤓
I picked up The Night Circus and Six of Crows a while back thanks to you. I'm also thinking of picking up Darker Shade, the Shadowhunter books and Our Dark Duet duology as well
AN EMBER IN THE ASHES IS SO GOOD. Honestly, the first two books completely blew me away, and I can't WAIT for the third book.
Harry Potter ❤️ And Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom! ❤️ But also, I finally read The Night Circus and I enjoyed it a lot! I love the way she described the circus and how the story unfolded 😍
I have currently finished the first two books in the ember in the ashes series. My oh my it was just amazing. Thank you Hannah 💕💕
Ahhhh I love this video😍😍 I’ve read SO many of these bc of you and and so so so happy I did bc they’ve also become my favorites ❣️ and I ofc will be reading the ones I haven’t yet.
Recommendations:
And I Darken (I need to get the second book called And I Rise) and The Falconer
i love your videos so much
Yessss! The night circus is so underrated, it's definitely high in my favorite books of all time!
I'm close to finishing all the books mentioned here. Truly amazing! I have found my favorites. Thank you so much. God bless
I'm pretty sure you were the first person who told me about The Night Circus so THANK YOU for helping me find my favorite book of all time. Also, another one of my fav books of all time Six of Crows. 😁
Great video Hannah. So far I love all your recommendations. Just finished Vicious and Night Circus. Both were absolutely amazing and special in so many ways. I'm sure you've been asked to read this before but I have to give it a shot. Another book I recently read is We Are The Ants and I fell in love with it. The writing and characters are so well done and it is definitely one of my favorite YA books. I'd love to know your thoughts on it if you do read it or maybe even make a video review on it.
22 minutes of Hannah talking about fantasy books?! YES PLEASE! I agree with 90% of all the books you show. The other 10% I just haven't read yet but do own so will be read soon!
Fantasy isn't my favorite genre but I still love it! My favorite is the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. And I also love This Savage Song!
The great thing is..I’ve been saving up some money and I’m getting so close to getting a big book haul so as someone who absolutely LOVES fantasy novels I will definitely be picking up most of these books 😍
I've read almost all of these and definitely loved them. I've added the Monsters of Verity series to my TBR because I've heard such good things about it!
Tamara Pierce is one of my favorite authors in the fantasy Genre and was one of the first. I recommend all of her books… Which just goes to show how much I love them! Thanks for the recommendations and I will definitely be picking up the night circus and A darker shade of magic trilogy!
Two times I guessed the books you were going to recommend before you mentioned them and this is the first time I am watching your video.
An Ember in the ashes and darker shades of magic are my all time fav books so its only fair I can guess them in this video !!
You mentioned almost every fantasy book I love 😂😂 A series I would recommend is the "Wicked Lovely" series by Melissa Marr. It's a series about a girl called Aislinn who is a mortal that can see faeries and she gets caught up in their world after the Summer King Keenan becomes obsessed with her. The first book is a pretty trope-y, YA faerie book, but the second one is far better and darker & books three-five become more about faerie politics
0ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKTUBERS EVERR! so much love from Egypt xx
I want to recommend a trilogy series because they are my favorite books of all time. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It's more paranormal fantasy than regular fantasy but they are so good. A Discovery of Witches starts off with a Witch named Diana and she had a traumatic past in which she no longer uses magic. The world in which she lives is full of humans, Vampires, Witches, and Demons, all living together. When Diana meets a Vampire professor at the college she teaches at her world turns upside down. These books are very immersive and I always read them around this time of year so I would recommend them to you since you also like books that transport you into their world.
wolf simmer I really want to read A Discovery or Witches!!!
Yes yes!! It dragged at times, but honestly it was very intriguing and had so much rich detail and history!
Its amazing. Absolutely one of my alltime favorite fantasy series
the next book I'll be buying is definitely the night circus, everytime you talk about it just grows my needing of reading this (sorry about my english I'm from Brazil...love your channel xoxo)
Wow we have similar taste in books 💕
These books are all my favorites too lol
If I gonna list my favorite fantasy it might just be the same as yours!
Great video, Hannah! ❤❤❤
I've read some of your favorite Fantasy books, and I own and want to read a few others. Of the ones you most love that I've read, my favorite is probably the Harry Potter series, but apart from Harry, my favorite is likely Strange the Dreamer. Such a rich, and intriguing, world! ❤❤❤
My own favorite Fantasy books include the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, the Nightside series by Simon R. Green, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, and The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin. 😊❤
I love you so much and you are the main reason I have bought both Strange the Dreamer and An Ember in the Ashes
I am either interested, have, or already love all of the books you mentioned, it's really amazing to me how similar our tastes run in the fantasy aspect. Well, I don't talk books to many people, so maybe I'm just discovering one of the millions of people who are like me.
I recommend the Witcher series. I haven't finished it, but ever since I read The Last Wish (a collection of short stories taking place before the main books), I fell in love with the characters and the fantasy aspect. There's a successful video game series based on it, so maybe you've heard of it.
I'm glad you mentioned that the Six of Crows duology has spoilers from the Grisha trilogy because I've read book 1 of the Grisha trilogy and have the other two on my shelf waiting but I also have Six of Crows and was considering starting it. I'll just finish the Grisha trilogy first. Also, definitely getting into the Raven Cycle and the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. I'm writing this comment at about 8 minutes in and so far, I'm a fan of getting into all the books suggested. 👍🏾
i'm waiting to get the six of crows duology and i can already tell it's going to be my favourite books.
That moment when you figure out that "YA", stands for "young adult", and you feel smart figuring it out, but also stupid AF for not knowing that all these years...
Lmao me
Lmao I felt this
LMAO
I just started reading Six Of Crows because I've only ever heard good things about it and I wanna love it so badly so I'm hella excited to finally read it!
HP, ADSOM, Six of Crows, Carry On and Raven Cycle are some of my most favourite fantasy books too. Others are Nevernight, Captive Prince, Girl at Midnight and Cainsville.
Great video, fantasy is my least picked up genre so this video is really helpful thank you x
Girl. I totally agree with what you said about the feel of the Shades of Magic being as close to the feeling of Harry Potter but as an adult.
I can really recommend Maria v Snyder. She writes fantasy and there is a bit of romance in it but it’s not overly romantic. The romance in it I magical though. She also has short stories to go with some of her series online. She has multiple series but her study/glass books are AMAZING and her healer series are great too. The study/glass series is the one that there are also short stories fro and goes- poison study, magic study, fire study, storm glass, sea glass, spy glass, shadow study, night study, dawn study.
SJM and Throne of glass is the best for me ❤️
love your list! Unfortunately I have not read any of these books yet, but I have ordered some of them and will start soon. A year or so ago I've started the Mortal Instruments series but I saw the movie and it spoiled me for book 1. So I haven't picked them up again. They are added to my list though. But Lately I have read the Midnight Ice series by Kaitlyn Davis (Books 1-3, 4th is coming out in January) and I love it so so much! Don't hate me, it's with fallen angels and vampires and all that, but it made me fall in love with this author ! Happy Reading :)
The Infernal Devices series is a master piece. Anyone who says they don't like Shadowhunters after reading The Mortal Instruments are not allowed to say another word until reading TID. The characters have actual flaws unlike most fantasy characters which is very refreshing, the Shadowhunter world is so deep and theres SO much for you to discover and learn. TID did not only make me happy, sad, angry and surprised but also improved my English grammar so much.
Thanks Cassie 💙😂
kindaoddmilla I AGREE
Same here
Because of you I read Clockwork princess and the whole series, and Crooked Kingdom series. Thank you.
This gave me some great new books to read. Super interested in Ember in the Ashes.
Ahhhh so many books to buy now 😅 Thank you for all these recommendations!
I would also suggest you try to read the Mercy Thompson saga which is one of my favorite bit lit series of all time, such many interesting characters with mature theme and a strong main female character! Hope you will take a look at it!
