What I love about great remakes is that they don't step on the original, they find their own style and reinterpret the feeling of the song. That's why I entirely love this version by Minnie and Jose. It's gorgeous on its own merit.
I also like Jose's another interpretation. It has no Minnie Riperton on it tho. But it has different arrangements. I'd say it's less soul funky but more latina style and has some nice fingerings like in a fingerstyle
