Great points about all the descending thoracic aortic branches. Regarding bovine arch, is the name 'bovine' because this is the standard anatomy in cattle?
Not exactly, in cows there is a single trunk that gives off both subclavians and a single bicarotid trunk that splits into both common carotids.
