From Season 1 Episode 5 ‘Here Comes The Brood’ - C.C., jealous of Fran's increasing presence in the Sheffield's lives, asks to accompany Maxwell on the family trip to the zoo to spend more time with the children. On the day of the trip, however, Maxwell experiences a tooth ache and visits Fran's dentist uncle. Fran, who is on her day off, suggests that C.C. take the kids by herself.

Thing's took a massive turn in the early 2000s when brokers in china started buying out and rising all the prices of properties.. Its wildly expensive over here now. And most of them refuse to sell to anyone who isn't chinese. 😅 this already started in 2012 though.

@@lydialilybellevalley2297 it's a joke indicating the difference between her and Gracie runaway, you know, since Gracie is rich versus middle class Fran, could also indicate Fran' silly running away endeavors versus those of Gracie...I say don't over think this one.
I love this early episode. It was the first time Fran showed her authoritative side and really let CC have it without even raising her voice the slightest bit.

It was the moment that Fran emotionally became Gracie's mommy. I imagine it was the hardest for Gracie not to call her mommy by that name.
I remember watching this show in the early 90s....it was my mom's favorite show sadly my mom passed away after the first season... I continued watching to honor her... laughter is the best medicine.

I always liked Fran cause she wasn’t so cookie cutter. She was in a word ‘Human’ and yes she admits she made mistakes, and she learns from them or she faces them with the kids and Niles. That’s why I liked Fran, and I think that’s why everyone did too.

The dress is still better than one my friend chose for her bridesmaids, she loved flamingos. The dress was a flamingos body with long hot pink boa streamers for tail fethers.

I'm surprised Gracie even knows how to get from home to Sylvia's house by herself since she's too young. At least she was cautious enough to come by limo instead of walking which is dangerous. But even then, why would the limo driver even give Gracie a ride without checking with her father first if he allows it or even knows where she is? The driver must be very stupid and careless to help a child run away from home, especially when that child is the daughter of his boss. I bet Maxwell fired him when he found out
The driver probably dropped Fran off which is how he knew how to get there and Gracie may have said she had to go there.

I recently read an article about how much weight Renee Taylor said she put on because she was made to eat all the time, coming from the fourth season I can really see it now
She was not made to eat all the time. They would do the scenes multiple times and SHE would eat it each time because 'the food was real and tasted great' Her words. While everybody else would just barely eat it when they were in shot on camera. Eventually she got a note from her doctor saying she had to stop eating that much, but no it's not something they MADE her do as an actress. Yes they made jokes of her character having that eating trait, but she made the choice to actually eat it as much as she did.
