About The Nanny:
Fran Drescher stars as Fran Fine, a street-smart young woman with a face out of Vogue and a voice out of Queens who stumbles onto the opportunity to become nanny to the children of a wealthy widower, Maxwell Sheffield. I remember the solution from the therapist at this episode. The therapist said that Grace allowed Imogen to be dead because she had another best friend: Fran. That was kinda sweet..
Aw really? Thats nice. Is this from the first season?
@@noemistephanie93 Yeah i believe it was around the first 7 episodes or so. Not long after Fran moved in for sure.
OML Yeah I remember!! 💕😊
Reminds me of Lars and the Real Girl
thats true - but i thought it was that she didnt need imaginary friend, because Fran cared for her as friend, she gave them time, while rest of nannies didnt, also Fran helped Sheffield family to hold together, without her they didnt do anything together
2:45 "She's not dead, she's just a little stunned.....you ok honey?" 😂😂😂
"She just went to Disneyland!"
Can we talk about how well these adult characters treated Gracie in this episode? For the most part they never told her to grow up or get over it, they didn't remind Gracie that Imogen was imaginary when she told them about her. Fran got up and moved when Gracie told her the imaginary friend was sitting there and played along, allowing Gracie to give up Imogen when she felt ready and not forcing her too like many adults I know irl would do to a child. It's so nice to see this sort of play normalized
When you learn about how Imogene came into Grace's life, you would understand why she needed therapy. Losing her mother at young age is extremely traumatizing to a kid and makes her feel out of place with her peers. With Fran, she starts behaving like a normal six year old. It gets better as the show progresses.
I love Grace she guest starred in Gilmore girls and was in A Cinderella Story (w/ Hilary Duff) she's awesome
oooh19 which characters did she play?
@@oooh19 who was she on GG?
@@aleorozco1994 she was in 1 episode in season 2 when paris and rory try to join the puffs she was another girl trying to join and she sits w/ rory at lunch at the end of the episode
@@oooh19 omg ive seen the GG like 3 or 4 times and never recognised her! 🤦♀️
"I told her once, I told her a hundred times. Don't sit on food"
Whoever cast Mr Scheffield’s son was genius. He looks like a blonde version of him.
Yeah schmooey was so funny
I don’t see it
Not now 😂😂😂
@@toriesout8692 definitely not now !!! Lol
I literally thought of the exact same thing yesterday! They have almost the exact same face!
It such a sweet episode. When u are all alone, with a losing mother u develop a sense loneliness. But when she has Fran, she doesn't need imaginary friends anymore.
I love how both ladies (young and full grown) seem like they’re really enjoying each other.
In a world full of Kardashians, be a Fran Fine, girls.
Preach
AMEN!
Yes!!
@Lalealyn Fran isn't a hoe.
Lalealyn Fran wasn't a whore.
2020 and this is still funny
I love how Fran goes with Imogen and Mr. Sheffield and Her do the entire operation. So wholesome :)
That wasnt her throat hahaha
That's such a filthy joke haha.
“My malpractice insurance is gonna skyrocket. :/“
Maxwell is such a good daddy 🥺
Maxwell: The first thing we have to do is clear her passageway. (Sticks finger down) There! Throats clear!
Grace: That wasn't her throat!
Maxwell: (Looks down at his fingers before beginning to wipe it)
Fran: Alright, you'll wash your hands later! Keep going!
Yup, the innuendos are strong with this one.... LOL
This show is so damn CUTE!
great performances and great writing
"IVE ONLY DONE IT ON A DUMMY I HOPE I- what am I sayin???" 😂😂😂😂
Lol you can tell she was smiling when the dad pulled her away when Fran was doing the shock thing lol and then she went back to all sad lol great acting
"I did not eat her, its bullshit, I did not eat her, I did naaaaaaht.......oh hi Mr Sheffield"
These were such talented child actors, I wonder what they did once the show was over?
Gracie was in Californication 😂
@@Natalie-iz6ny She was also in"Heroes".
@@Nicamon And "Vampire Diaries"!
@@saulsugarman8370 I never watched that!X-P
Gracie was in “A Cinderella story”😊
Okay this has aged well in our socially aware (especially regarding trauma and mental health) times. Love ya The Nanny! (Please do the clip from "The Chatterbox" where Lauren Tom talks about Jewish guys)
Nicole Tom? Or Lauren Lane?
I remember the first time I sa this. when she said ''clear'' I almoust died I was lauhing so hard
My dad loves to tell people the story of when I walked up to him balling my little eyes out because my older brother killed my imaginary boyfriend. My family still laughs at me about it
Was his name George Glass?
@Maroxa Livesfree no clue. I remember having imaginary friends and an imaginary bf, but I don't remember this event so had to be around kindergarten or first grade if I had to take a guess.
@@TacShooter who?
@@BabyNineTail CZcams George Glass for laughs.
I’m so sorry. That wasn’t kind of your family. Unless you in on the joke now. But I still wouldn’t trust them with anything sensitive in your life.
At such young age Madeline Zima was already a remarkable actress and I'm really glad she has a great career.
IM LITERALLY DYING WHY IS THIS SO FUNNY
The scene where they try to save Imogene is hilarious.
How did get thru this without having retakes I would have busted out laughing every time!😁
If the Nanny were a horror movie things would get downhill from here real quick lmao
still cracks me up 😂😂😂
How can they keep a straight face through all the invisible cpr scene?
This was the first episode that they aired in Nick at Night and then I fell in love
“Clear!” 😂😂
0:11 Brighton just broke the 4th wall
She dressed so well though
3:38 “you can smile but no laugh, no laugh...”
I need to watch this show!! This had me dying 😂😂😂
It's so great, you won't be sorry, I promise 😂
Indeed 😁🤣
This episode reminds me of a movie, which I cannot recall the title of, in which a child has invisible friends. Turns out they were real, alien, and small.
I have never watched this show but I find these snippets hilarious.
the children were really great actors
One of the funniest scenes
So creative and so well done.
They filmed same drama in my country and even dialogues are same :D
Love the twilight zone reference
fran's dress in the beginning is amazing
Frans style is everything🥰🥰🥰
This show was great!
A wonderfully funny show
the nanny is like an 80s version of Jessie.
Please Jessie can’t hold a candle to this show.
CLEAR! 😂😂😂
My favourite episode 😂😂😂
"The Gracie Zone" LMAO
3:08 That wasn't her throat! LOL
Here, get it the teacup
True story. The lady who played Ma in the Ma and Pa Kettle movies would talk to her dead husband in public. She was living proof that sanity is a state of mind.
The solution was really sweet
My mom dressed me like Gracie , i always loved those dresses
that twilight zone reference tho
Brighton’s character 😂
I don't recall ever seeing any TV show, in which, a kid, much less a wealthy girl having a imaginary friend, perhaps that's why Gracie screams scares the hell out of me, every time I see the episode.,
I had no idea that the little girl Grace from The Nanny was played by Madeline Zima from A Cinderella Story.
3:04 😳
It is still funny.
Where is the video of Imogen's funeral.
I'm a grown adult, but some kids screams and cries scare the hell out of me, perhaps that's why I don't like being with just another children.,
Eggs are pasteurized?! Lol
That kid is 10 if she is a day
Does Margot Robbie look a bit like Fran or am I crazy?
Yes, if she'll lose some more pounds
@@vitg7043 Their bodies don't have to be the exact same for the two to have some similarities. Don't know which one you think has to lose weight, they both seem like healthy, happy women.
There is a Greek version of this series and I can tell you the sets look identical .
They have one in Spanish too
This is what happens when you coddle a fantasy
It wasn't a fantasy. It was a coping mechanism for the death of her mother. Watch the entire episode.
So was that a pubic hair? Where did Maxwell put his finger? Gracie said it was gross, and Maxwell did not put his mouth on that end.
Por fa en español
I think it’s spelled “ima gine” like imagine lol because she’s imaginary 😂
Mega Mega Mega.
0:05 What are Brighton doing?
Mimicking the theme from Twilight zone and later on he does the speech that is usually spoken during the theme. If you havent seen it, Twilight zone is one of the most influential horror scifi shows originating as far back as the 50s
Wao so funny
In all honesty I had an imaginary boyfriend in was 11 years old come on!
Was that when you found yourself, and to feel no guilt, pretended it was a boyfriend.
I always liked how they dressed Gracie, like a little girl... no jeans or t-shirts
Jean and t-shirts are basic clothes anyone can wear at any age
Ah yes, the 90's
Lol just no,
1. Winter
2. playground
3. Uncomfortable
4. Painfull at times
5. Jean's and t shirts can be cute and feminine
6. Bruh
😂 I'm confused by this comment. Do females not look like females when they dress in jeans and t-shirts even if they are feminine
@@terynb4407 ikr op is trying to say that little girls need to be little frilly and pink, its bull. Lol
i wonder how many people got salmonella poisoning because they ate raw dough from this scene.
Take your anhedonic ass on pedant
As someone who grew up eating the cookie dough off the beaters, and off the tray before they could be cooked,, that is like, the rarest way to get salmonella. Your more likely to get it from raw chicken and cross contamination in the kitchen.
@@juliankirby9880 im actually mocking the culture of people who overract to everything these days i wasnt being serious
to be honest ok. As a cookie dough lover, I must defend my habit you see.
