      Yeah I've been watching him for a long time and he continues to blow my mind. They say necessity is the mother of all great inventions and I would say that's why we see alot of these amazing backyard engineers come from many of these countries that don't have the same access to box stores and large tool chain stores or much of anything in some cases so they have to build it themselves and that's when we see the cream of the crop rise above the rest such as this gentleman. He is a truly talented and creative man that keeps me entertained with his ingenious projects

My brother and one of his friends built a chopper from an old four cylinder Honda and when it was three quarters of the way complete I got involved and came to discover that in their initial frame welding they didn’t line things up very good and it was way off and would dog- track down the road.

      Today everything is flat black, red rims, wide white wall tires. It’s supposed to be old style but it must be from the 1930s as I don’t ever remember seeing that as ever being the ‘ in ‘ style even as a little kid.

      @@robatlarge3478 As far as lubrication goes, you are correct. Then again, it would just be classified as a total loss oiling system. Lubrication wouldn't be too hard. Oil it every 50 miles or commute, but she wouldn't be a tourer. Safety still is a concern, but it looks like he has some shielding to prevent whiplash in case of a derail/snap. The only concern would be long hair and loose clothing that the chains could catch. That, and rocks/rubble the chains could chew up.
      Overall, I just like it cause it harkens back to the pre war motorcycles with their open chain drive systems. A lot old school guys did custom open chain drives, and I just think it LLS's build is cool because it's a true chopper build with true old school techniques. These are vehicles meant to be driven and mixing them with decorative peaces that get drive once in blue moon if ever is entirely different and gives wrong point of view from this kind of builds, ie people see something like this being done and try reproduce it, ending up with destroyed compressor, motorbike and in best of cases shitty bike that is always need of repair.

    pretty awesome, I'll admit I wasn't quite expecting you to go as far as making an entire bike for it but it's amazing nonetheless, what I would recommend is adding a bit of extra oil in the crank case and add an oil cooler for the engine to keep the temperature down, also make sure to give the carburetor a tune-up as well to get the most out of the engine, it seemed to be running a bit rough, it also probably needs a bigger sprocket on the rear wheel and if at all possible try and make a rev limiter so that if you ever lose control of the throttle or if you just want to hoon it a bit, then the engine can't over rev and damage the internals, but keep doing what your doing and keep making awesome creations.

      @@timesthree5757 yeah I know it’s splash lubricated but it is also still a compressor, so it won’t take the abuse quite as well but the extra oil will be to fill the oil cooler and the pump that moves that oil

    • @ethancoy9237
      @ethancoy9237 Před 3 lety

      @@timesthree5757 on that note I wouldn’t want to race it to begin with, that style of motorcycle isn’t designed to be raced, besides the fact that the engine wouldn’t make much power to begin with being that It started it’s life as a compressor, furthermore one of the cylinder heads were modified so the wrong valves open due to the fact that those heads were originally designed to be on a single cylinder engine, like a Chinese 125cc pit bike engine or something similar, due to that and the valve size not being best suited to the cylinder displacement, the engine wouldn’t perform very well as a result, not to mention the added friction due to the crank design and the timing chain amongst other things, the engine probably makes at most 10hp, if that.

    • @timesthree5757
      @timesthree5757 Před 3 lety

      @@ethancoy9237 judging by the engine sound I wouldn't bet on it getting much more than 15hp.
      Your claim that an air compressor can no handle the is wrong. An air compressor deals with temps high enough to melt aluminum.
      Second a gaser does not have explosion in it. It is actually a controlled burn. Yes, the compressor can not deal with the burn.
      Putting around is fine. Maybe last five yrs if he babies it. Dont go on freeways or climb big hill. Just use it to go to the local store and back.

    hello great work there awesome build ... i saw the series of this engine from the compressor engine to a gas engine, gearbox, motorcycle... i heard the engine running a bit poor when you were driving it... maybe its the timing or i think its because 1 of the cylinder head was reversed i mean the exhaust valve was the intake valve and the intake the exhaust.. did you tried to put the head the more correct way? (ex. exhaust and intake like they supposed to same for both cylinder heads) i know its more work and complicated but it would work better as well ...and when you removed the spark plug cable from the head that was reversed it was running ok but when you removed the other cable from the other head it was about to stop running... this engine will be good with 1 cylinder head and 1 compressor head you will have your self a portable air compressor... all and all great work keep up like that !!!
