I'm from Argentina, I have a 407 2.0 HDI Sr Sport car, and after watching you video, i was able to remove my starter motor, take it to a repair shop, and put it back again in just two days. I have learned everything by myself and i want to show people that most of the stuff is not that difficult to do so they wouldnt waste a money on a garage charges and fix theyr car themselfs. I believe a lot of people find my videos usefull and it makes me really happy that more and more people subscribe my channel and motivates me to make more videos. I am gonna make tons more videos in a near future, my camera braked so i couldnt record for a while but i got a new camera now so show must go on lol

Awesome my friend my starter motor has just started to mess around I think the solenoid is on the way out so I'm ordering a new one & fitting it weekend. I did look around under the bonnet & couldn't find it & I had visions of it being at the back of the engine but thankfully it is not.
Doesn't look to bad a job to do so thanks for the upload.
I just thought I'd add I fitted the new one today & it didn't turn out to be a to difficult job to do, the fiddliest part are the connections on the starter motor itself other than dead easy really, can't thank you enough for the upload.
Nice video, using it to do the same job on my 508gt.

No sorry, this video is about a 2.0hdi starter motor removal. I am not familiar with v6 engine of 407. Are you talking about 3.0 petrol?

I have the same peugeot and today it refused to start :( how do I know what the problem is? It has a battery but it doesn't turn and doesn't make any sound 😢

Have you ever changed one on a 407 2.2 petrol looks similar apart from intake manifold in way no room underneath think you have to take throttle body off no body posted owt on youtube and dealers no help even garage look like key hole surgery
Why you change the starter?
I only changed it becouse I had a better one and also wanted to make a video, I cant remember it giving me any problems but I might have forgotten as its been like 1 year.
Is it at the Same position on the 2.2 hdi?
I am not 100% sure mate but i imagine it would be
