  • The QRD Stellar T5 wireless Bluetooth JoyCon alternatives for Nintendo Switch have hall sensor sticks, all mechanical buttons and a very ergonomic design . They’re designed with the same mold as the Hyperion but this model has a nice looking translucent shell, giving it a futuristic vibe. The ergonomics and controls are great, rear buttons are perfectly positioned, and they performed very well on the Nintendo Switch.

    I have the same set and I was wondering if your T5's dont save the color you assign after sitting on the dock charging overnight? Great Video and well thought out.

    Would you go with this or Hyperion Pro? Or is the Mobapad the best?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  Před měsícem +1

      That’s tough to say. The Mobapad has better mechanics; Mechanical buttons and HD Rumble. (I haven’t felt the M6 S) But these other two have better ergonomics, IMO. They’re pretty much identical in that regard. If I were to choose between Nyxi Hyperion Pro and Stellar T5, I think I’d go with the Hyperion Pro. The buttons feel and look great and the sticks feel better calibrated. I think Nyxi is a bit more established. Thanks for taking the time to check out the channel. I appreciate it!

    Is it possible to turn off the LEDs and do these have gyro & are useable in TV mode?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, to all 3 of your questions.
      To turn off the LEDs you hold the turbo button and double click the stick. This will cycle on/off and breathing mode. A single click will change the colors. They work wirelessly and the gyro seems to work fine.

      @OGTechNick Thank you, and one other concern I have is the button feel. Is there enough distance to give solid feedback when pressing?

      @MusicJunkie37 I think all the mechanical buttons feel great except for the dpad. It uses a louder, more clicky switch, but it still works well. Face buttons and shoulder buttons feel just how I like them to feel. Good travel. Not too much. Not too little. To me they feel better than the Mobapad M6 HD buttons.

    I'm torn between this one and mobapad hd, I'm buying for pc and android
    Wait... Triggers are not analog?

    • @OGTechNick
      @OGTechNick  Před 10 dny

      The triggers on both the Stellar T5 and Mobapad M6 are digital only because the Switch doesn’t support analog triggers. That’s unfortunately one of the caveats to using a controller designed primarily for Switch on PC or mobile.

    Which is better this or nyxi???

      I can say from this first impression that the rubber membrane face buttons feel great on the Hyperion Pro, but I also think the mechanical face buttons on the Stellar T5 feel great. I think it depends on which type of button you prefer. There are some differences in the feel of the trigger/bumper switches and the dpad that I need to compare before I jump to conclusions. I'll also test the sticks. I know I like the surface texture of the Stellar T5 better on the stick caps, but that's a small thing because I always add thumbstick caps to them anyway.
      I'm going to do a proper review on the Hyperion in the coming days, so hopefully, you'll be able to get a better idea of what you'd prefer after that video.
