Here is the thing, I think classic Doctor Who and NWH get it right, fan service should be use sparingly and it should be special when it happens.
In classic Doctor Who every ten years they would have a multi-Doctor special where they brought back as many old actors as they could for two hours and then move on.
In NWH it happened after the film series had been around for twenty years and in the context of the story they made it clear it can never happen again or the universe is doomed so it is special and future films will have to stand without it, plus the movie gave MCU Spider-Man his best arc yet, the movie would have still been a hit without the fan service.
When fanservice happens all the time it loses its punch and it has no impact, so unless it is part of some sort of rare celebration it should never be the main reason a work exists.

As an anime fan and pro-wrestling fan, I can vouch that an over abundance of fan-service can cause it to lose its punch. There's only so much T and A shots, and callbacks to better arcs in a series like what Dragon Ball Super did that you tend to get sick of it. Same with pro-wrestling with how WWE would constantly bring back older wrestlers for a cheap reaction that it got stale after a while
So to see other media make same mistake annoys me.

NWH doesn’t do fan service well.. alot of the dialogue they gave Toby and Andrew was way out of place. I think they messed up bringing in the old Spider-Man and should’ve just focused on a new story for Tom Holland Spider-Man. Think about it, a new villain we’ve never seen before would’ve been better cus rewatching NWH without a theatre of people makes you realize how it isn’t a good movie at all and all the villain quips did not fit in movie form. The MCU in general has a BAD HABIT of quips and jokes which make earlier marvel projects seem like masterpieces. Rewatch all early marvel movies like RAIMIS trilogy, X-men, and the first MCU movies and you’ll realize they had more depth and serious tone which made the films an enjoyable watch. It’s now become a clown fest in which characters like Toby end up getting trash dialogue just for him to “return” and yay fans eat it up. Don’t even get me started on phase 4 and the amount of shows and movies they’ve took out which has made the MCU a complete mess. I like marvel but they got to get their shit together

If I were making the movies I would get rid of the time travel plot, and instead make the stones work like dragon balls from Dragon ball z, and a power bar from a video game. With the Dragon Balls, you collect them and make a wish. Once you've made a wish, the Dragon balls disappear and scatter across the universe to be searched for again. And with a power bar, you run out of power the more moves you do. Bigger moves make you run out faster. So Thanos could get a certain amount of usage out of the stones, but a big move that would affect the entire universe would make him run out of time with the stones. The stones would disappear and scatter across the universe. Then in Endgame, they just trace the energy signatures and collect the stones to bring everyone back. I'd have Thor be the one to snap.
Would have made Thor an overprotective king, and married to Lady Sif. Then in the 4th film he could have children of his own, and have to face off against Gorr.
As for Hulk, I would have shown him living a better life as Professor Hulk. Then suddenly Hulk wants out. Now Banner is having to fight for control. He is slowly losing control. You could show what kind of life he would be giving up if he lost control. Then at the end he chooses to lose control(World War Hulk style) at the end and rematches Thanos. He could have distracted him, so the heroes could get the stones. That could have set the tone for the next phase.

She-hulk has tons of fan service, and no one gives a crap about it. I understand where you are coming from by basically comparing fan service to dangling a bunch of keys infront of the fans faces, but fan service (especially in a TIME TRAVEL movie) is impossible to avoid. Endgame really doesn't suck....I may need to create counter arguments to Fringey's video though.
The time travel rules in this move aren't demolished by the writers.
The consequences that come with time travel are there.
It feeling like a collection of the mcu's greatest hits is intentional and is good fan service with how it's important to go to those places to get the stones.
It didn't feel drawn out and tedious...or at least it didn't feel that drawn out.
There wasn't any honest trailer cinemasins mcu type joke/observation.
The only example of forced fan service in the final battle is the "girl power" scene.
the final charge scene isn't forced fan service. There isn't any moments of stupidity on the characters parts in order to have this moment exist. No Way Home didn't have any of that either.
Thanos isn't waiting...he was just in pure shock and awe.
That isn't a fall from the version in Infinity War who thought that dividing the universe's population in half would fix everything....how was Thanos brilliant?
Again Thanos was shocked and in awe at seeing them...even if he didn't give them time it would still take time for him to rally his force and by the time his forces would be charging they would have been ready to attack his forces anyways.
If he used that massive spaceship to rain fire on them A. that wouldn't hurt all of them as characters like Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Thor, Dr Strange, etc can all fly, and B. that will hurt his own army too who mostly can't fly. Same with the big epic shot....they can still fly and Thanos's army would get hurt too.
Eh....the Star Wars prequels really aren't bad though.
Endgame (and the Mandalorian too and Clone Wars season 7) will never EVER crumble and wither away and they are not doomed to be remembered as nothing more then a superficial attempt to distract audiences from the lazy and horrendous writing as that's not what Endgame, Mandalorian, and Clone Wars season 7 are at all.
