      Yes, the only year that is an abomination is that year Nash won. Rose single handedly made the Bulls the best team in the league. Westbrook was the first player to average a triple double in what 40 years? Plus those 2 dudes were the only reason their teams were competitive. The Thunder had nobody. The Bulls had nobody. Like literally a bunch of nobodies.

    Am I the only one that felt lebron should have won in 2018? He had maybe the worst cavs team of that run and still carried them to the finals, even almost stealing a game from the warriors if it wasn’t for jr smith, he had idk how many buzzer beaters and clutch moments, and his team basically changed halfway through the season, I have never seen a player do so much with so little help

    D Rose lead the Bulls to the #1 seed and the Bulls swept the big 3 Heat that year. And Rose was super clutch in those regular season games. D Rose was the MVP. If Rose wasn’t the MVP because Lebron had slightly better stats then Lebron shouldn’t be MVP this year because many players are having much better statistically years. But Lebron does deserve MVP this year.

    7 times wtf is this guy talking about. The ONLY time it's debatable was 11 and he still shouldn't have won. In 15 most people feel Harden deserved it. Bron wasn't even in second place. Harden won 55 games and had just as good numbers as Bron.

      That’s not the point. The point is that they change the criteria every season in favor of other players over Lebron. Lebron was winning it when the mvp actually meant most valuable player and best player but now it’s a scoring award, or it’s given to the player with the best record or the player who dragged his team to the playoffs but the criteria has changed over the last 5 or 6 years

    Nash, Rose, and Steph all deserved those MVPs. Neither Wright or Broussard know what they're talking about.
    In 2006, Amare missed the entire season and Nash still led the team to the #2 offense and 54 wins in the Western Conference. And LeBron had no help in '06? Zydrunas Ilgauskas averaged 16/8 with 2 blks on 51% shooting. And LeBron was in the Eastern Conference, which was a weaker conference.
    Phoenix in 2006 was 22-8 against the East (.713%) and 32-20 against the west (.615%).

    Lebron sat out %15 of the season in his first season back with Cleveland and the Cavs were the 2 seed. That’s with adding a All NBA PF along with Lebron. Steph lead the Warriors to 67 wins playing the whole season, while revolutionizing the game with his 3 point shooting. No Lebron didn’t deserve MVP. Harden had a better case as well.

    how is 2014-15 even a debate? lol... the #'s are very similar and Curry's Dubs won 67 games and LeBron's won 53 in a bad east conf... i mean c'mon
    i don't think the Derrick Rose year is that big of a debate either - given the way the Heat came together that year with THREE franchise players
    so i agree with Chris, the only year you can quibble with is the Nash year

    I think Nick is right about the other 2 years but bruh, I was a huge Heat fan the year that D Rose won that MVP. Trust me when I say that come playoff time I knew the Heat had a better overall team but at the same time there was some doubt about beating Chicago. D Rose was full on Super Saiyan that whole year...

    The criteria has to change, because it can't just be about the stats, because their are dudes in the league like Bradley Beal with off the charts stats but can't win games. Then you have guys like Chris Paul who makes teams better but the stat line doesn't reflect all that he contributes.

      The fact that Jordan bron and Kobe only have a combined 10 mvps just shows how biased mvp voting is. Kobe should have at least 5, bron 7 and mj 7. But they also have the only important accomplishments in the nba which is finals mvps. Something that giannis, harden, embiid jokic etc. will never win

    Most MvP winners play on the no.1 team, rose and steph won cause they had better team, nash won cause amare got injured and he led that team to the playoffs, westbrook won as an 8th seed cause it was historical, and nash belongs to that class, he just plays in a more competitive era compared to bird and the other 3 consecutive mvp winners

    2011 Drose led his team to the 1st seed without a star when nobody expected his team to be capable of doing it , Lebron,Wade,Bosh in the first 20-25 games in the beginning of the season was struggling also Lebron had a better supporting cast than Rose and both of there stats wasn’t separated that significantly. 2015 Steph team led his team to 67 wins when nobody expected his team to be capable of doing it and again both players stats wasn’t significantly separated and Lebron team was 53 wins and remember closely, the media talked about is this the start of him declining because his points and percentages was the lowest since his rookie season and remember him and Kyrie had issues figuring how to play together, got to a point where some media members talked about should the Cavs trade Kyrie in the first season with Lebron. The 2006 season Lebron deserves it because he led his team to 50 wins when nobody expected his team to be capable of doing it, and his stats were significantly separated and better than Nash and supporting cast Lebron wasn’t working with much.These are facts I’m just saying for anyone who wants to attack my points.

The Lakers was a 7-8th seed, when Jordan averaged 37/5/5 he didn’t get the MVP cause his team was an 8th seed. If the MVP was about who has the most stats and ignore the team success, your discrediting great players that are winning with the respectable numbers. On top of that, Lebron had 31/7/6, its close between Kobe stats so because of that it all boils down to which of the player’s team success is better.
