- Despite falling short of a Finals win, Draymond Green boldly proclaimed on his podcast that the 2016 Golden State Warriors was the greatest team in the league. Nick Wright and Chris Broussard decide whether they agree with Green's assessment of that 2016 team, which featured Green himself, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, won 73 games, and nearly shut down LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.

NBA history debate between these two is some of the best sports content. Love it.
could watch it all day bro 😂
Some of the dumbest too
Bingo. Producers: give us more.
It's the same 2 debates every time. Warriors vs bulls and mj vs LeBron.
Facts
Chris Broussard outclassed Nick here
Amen.
All the time
he really didn’t! kd never went to a game 7 in the finals either
@@brandonbabb5436 It's like you missed all his other points lol.
Eh. He's playing to the pro-Jordan crowd. His argument that the Bulls could beat the 83 76ers is that they beat the Knicks and Magic, two teams w/ major backcourt deficiencies. Meanwhile, the 76ers had a HOF PG and a SG who would have been a HOFer if not for knee problems later on. Moses was also a lot better than Ewing and young Shaq.
Nick and Broussard both made good points. I don't know why Nick was acting so shocked. Broussard did put up a really good argument.
while he was yelling out all his facts w emotions lol
@@manuelrico6367 lol facts
@@manuelrico6367 I mean i would get emotional when im stating sound argument and the other person is interupting me and acting like im spitting a bunch of bs
I think Bill Simmon's perspective on this is the best: the '96 bulls weren't even the best bulls team, so they can't be in the discussion of best team ever. The reason they won 72 games is because the league had just been expanded to add multiple teams, so all the teams had their talent diluted. In the moment people were not as impressed with the 72 win bulls team as we are in retrospect looking at the impressive stats.
Nick wasn't shocked, he was frustrated. Because he knows Broussard will biasedly always pick Jordan regardless of the scenario. And then Broussard will claim he's just being objective and facts-based, when he unobjectively only cites facts that favor Jordan. Or gets his facts wrong, but always wrong in a way that's better for Jordan.
Though I don't know why this frustrates Nick all of a sudden. Broussard has always done this. And Nick has shredded him for doing it before in good fun. But lately Nick seems to get irritated by it for some reason.
Look at Nicks face when Chris mentioned defensive rating. Nick got finished haha
Nick got finished because he couldnt believe how dumb of an argument that was, defensive rating really?😂😂 Chris just pandered to jordan fans as usual, anyone can do that
The 2001 Lakers should be in this discussion went 15-1 beat 1 team that won 50 games and 3 55+ wins teams. Their point differential was nearly 13 points a game.
they had a poor regular season record, but yeah they are in the discussion sometimes.
To me I think that team can beat any team
True. It’s hard to argue with Peak Beast Shaq and prime Kobe @ 15-1 in postseason.
@@Mjh97 no they cant because shaq would get absolutely destryoed in pick and roll defense
Yea the regular season ruined them for this discussion
Nick did his best to keep MJ out of the conversation and Chris crushed him relentlessly 😁😂😂😂
It was insane lmao he rekt him
In Nick's world Jordan and the Bulls don't exist
Thought Nick made some really good points and couldn’t see how one would disagree but Broussard took everyone to school. Probably Chris’ best take since he’s been on the show.
Chris had researched facts.
Nick, these teams added a great player they must be better
Not really, chris just pandered to jordan fans, not that hard to do…
Nick acting like it's absolutely insane that someone would think the '96 Bulls are the best team is pretty cringe
Warriors finna sweep the floor with them , cmon now
Hes a Lebron rider and a Jordan hater.
Bronsexuals what can you expect? Bunch of casuals
@Aman Singh different eras, different priorities ya cant compare them... gsw would play different in the 90s and bulls would shoot more 3s nowadays
It is insane consodering they literally played with the 3 point line being moved in and that outside of jordan theyre scoring is shaky
Chris Broussard is Nick's kryptonite and I LOVE IT😂😂😂😂😂😂
And vice versa. They’re both the most objective when it comes to basketball. When they’re not discussing their biases 😂
And Wilds got the best seat in the house
Kryptonick
Broussard's argument against the 76ers is pretty weak. The Bulls could deal w/ size by trapping teams who had only one competent ball handler. If you watch them against the Magic, they take the ball out of Penny's hands and it's game over. Shaq never had a chance. The 6ers had Cheeks and Toney. Malone would beat Rodman up.
Broussard wins definitively. Loved his arguments... And the funny thing is my pick is the '17 Dubs.
Lol Nick said “if it’s objective why does it always point to Jordan?”, maybe it’s because he was that good 🤣🤷🏽♂️.
Excellent comment
This isnt 1 on 1 tho its 5 on 5
@@R4nk3rz it's 5 on 5, correct. What most people ignore is the rules/playing style of each time makes a big difference
I’m glad Chris finally checked Nick and his rude interruptions
Nick loves LeBron so much and is threatened by the existence of Jordan so much that he didn't even want to listen to the data that Broussard was putting out. C'mon man just take the L like a man.
He doesn't even have Jordan at number 2.
I like a lot of Nick's takes, but he can't be objective about anything Lebron or Jordan
That 83 76ers team is consistently forgotten. The Bulls wouldn't be able to contain Moses.
Actually whats funny about that is that in 2011 or 2012 theres a tweet where Nick has Jordan one and Kareem 4. Somehow Kareem became 2 and Jordan became 3 tho. Not sure what changed@@vashthestampede11
Never seen Broussard so heated but I understand why. Nick just hating on the Bulls again. That 96 team was the best team ever.
You spelled “16-17 Warriors” wrong
It's not that he's just hating, but he continuously talks over others and always makes annoying noises sighs. He literally is doing what everyone was complaining about with Brandon Marshall. But Nick's is actually worse because it comes across as condescending, which is his go to strategy because he's always getting killed in these debates.
Lets not forget, Spurs were up by 20+ against that 2017 Warriors game 1 in WCF until Zaza purposely injured Kawhi. Imagine what would the '96 Bulls would have done to that team
@@THE1BELOWANDABOVEALL watch the play again, he slid his feet right into his landing zone, trying to effect his landing after the jump shot. That was not Zaza's first time being a dirty player either
Yah, the warriors would’ve played them off the court
and the 2018 warriors who were basically the same team went to 7 vs cp0/harden rockets.
Sure everybody remembers that hahahah
u could say the same thing abt other great teams tho
Omg Chris completely destroyed Nick. Totally emasculated him😂😂😂
It was brutal
He was like a little boy getting scolded by his father lol
Brutal indeed!
@CHIEF HADOUKEN no argument there.
@CHIEF HADOUKEN yup can absolutely see them destroying Run TMC
I like Nick but the man will never admit he's wrong. Like NEVER.
Fax, you gotta concede the argument or you just look really stupid n disingenuous like Skip Bayless talking about anything LeBron

So did the warriors and the sixers teams that are brought up in the video?????

That was tense. I love it. If Nick doesn't think those bulls are the best team ever, fine. But dude acts like believing they could have a case is unthinkable.

Nick’s point about the Sonics being a top 10 greatest team ever is ridiculous. If that’s the case, the 2018 Rockets are top 10 too because they took this same Warriors team a year later to 7 games in the WCF. Broussard absolutely bodied Nick in this debate. My goodness
That was his point. Those Sonics were clearly not a top-10 all-time team. Therefore, the fact that the Bulls struggled against them is a knock against those Bulls.
I don't agree or disagree. Just sayin', that was his point.
@@Ask_a_Geoist they were up 3-0. and GS struggled more against the rockets

@@mattmaltese8375 the difference is the bulls let their foot off the gas they should’ve swept the sonics but got complacent. And they still only lost 3 games the entire playoff run.
Nick was too young during the 1996 Bulls run. That team was unbeatable. It was awe inspiring. And no team since has come close. It was the best assembled, best coached and best executed juggernaut in basketball history. Any team, any era, would fizzle over 7.
And would get destroyed by the 2017 warriors lol
They were unbeatable in a watered down era and were taken to 6 games by injured gary payton and shaun kemp. Steph Kd Klay draymond Iggy is laughable better than that sonics team
17 warriors kills that team in. 5. Lol. Who’s gonna guard curry ? Kerr ? Jordan guards klay. Pippen guards Durant , Rodman guards green. Again who guards curry ? Lmao

You simply don’t argue with Broussard when it comes to the NBA, that’s what got him to where he is today
I guess the 1996 Bulls should have lost in the Finals so they could have added Shaq or Karl Malone and be the greatest team of all time the next season.
Broussard schooled Nick in this segment. The 1996 Bulls is the greatest team to be assembled and the facts back it up. I don’t understand why Nick always hates on Jordan. Interesting that none of LBJ’s teams are up here.
The fact that LBJ’s teams aren’t up there proves that he never really had “super teams”.

Nick got DESTROYED by Brou just there.
Nick has never got “destroyed” by Brou. He has been wrong but he’s right here
As usual the guy gets destroyed all time cus he a hater/d rider and Brou is objective
That would be a good argument If it wasn't so many ERA'S IN BETWEEN
I know they work for two different companies, BUT... Broussard and Tim Legler are the best NBA commentary in the game. I would watch them 2 talk Basketball for hours. Just a thought. 😂
Nick got rocked lol.
A LOT of emotional and passion in that Take. I love the back and forth between Nick & Broussard its always fun to watch. Lamo and Wilds in back looking like "Lets calm down everybody, I didn't get my turn." 😂😂
Nick is leaning on this "no adversity" argument, but if you face weak teams in the playoffs, you won't face any adversity. Some years, you just get an easier path through the playoffs than others. Who your opponent is matters. Just because you didn't lose doesn't mean you were great, if your competition wasn't
Mj said his toughest competition was reggie miller and the pacers.. dr j larry bird and magic said the 90s was weak due to the expansion draft .. those 90s teams were no comp
the warriors team is the best in history, literally no debate

I would understand your argument if the the spurs didn’t beat the rockets in 6 when kawhi was injured and the cavs didn’t win the title the year before and also nearly swept their conference.. that cavs team was probably the best team lebron was on and I would say would be the second best team of the 90s besides the bulls.. and the warriors gentlemen swept them

Favorite…. segment….ever!!
That 72 bulls team went on to win 3 peat. They won a three peat for a reason.
Nick ticked off that it always goes back to Jordan. Not Jordan’s fault that he’s the greatest basketball player of all time and that that team was the greatest team ever. So idk why he acts all shocked
Except he's not
this is the energy im interested in
Chris sure got riled up this time haha
"It always ends up being Jordan"
I wonder why? lmao!
Agreed with Broussard analysis
That warriors team had the same roster the.following year when Pat Beverly took them to 6 games and saved by Chris Pauls injury to beat the rockets by 7. 😅
Pat Bev's team took them to 7 the following year when they had a ton of chemistry issues. That's like well documented. The year after, yeah, that rockets team is an all time team that had historic stats across the board. But also, they were made just to defeat the warriors. And that warriors team's role players did do worse in 2017-2018 because they were a year older.
And then that same team beat a healthy Rockets team when they lost KD. 0-24 from 3 😂😂😂
I hear you but best team ever is evaluated by single seasons. Not their entirety they were together. Some seasons your fresher from missing the playoffs. Your players aren’t sick of each other. The experience to win the first ring is greater with it being Durant’s first ever. They Basically gentlemen swept the entire playoffs costing the league money impacting the CBA.

It's difficult to stack-rank teams of different eras. I'd love to see one of these analysts try to evaluate the differences in a measured way to show degree of difficulty. Like how did the change in officiating hand-checking make one era more competitive than another. Maybe then we could, at least, write some takeaways.
Yeah that would be interesting
I agree, but isn’t it kind of obvious that the players a way more skilled now on average than the players of yesteryears? Just because the league was more physical does NOT mean it was more competitive there’s no correlation.
@@admincxs1670 Agreed. Additionally the sports fitness and medical progress would contribute. These shows always try to use specific words to imply different debates. Best, Greatest, Dominant.. I personally don't think there's a lot of room for a debate on the BEST team when there's a 20 year difference. The only argument that historical teams would have is who would win in a 7 game series, but that's a narrow view. There's plenty of room for debate on Greatest and Dominant though.
Haven't watched the video but am already sensing that this is taken out of context and ignores Dramond and Steph laughing at the statement because of the 2017 Warriors

True. They end most games in 3 quarters. No end game winners like the old times games always close and decided until the final buzzer. GS with KD or even that 2016 Warriors were buzz saws!
