- Inside The $200 Million Boeing BBJ 767 Private Jet
0:00 - Intro
This is the Boeing BBJ 767, a unique blend of performance, luxury, and comfort, offering exceptional intercontinental capabilities. Today we’re going inside the Boeing BBJ 767 to talk about everything you need to know about this huge aircraft.
0:30 - Cabin
As you enter the cabin, you're instantly greeted by the broad entrance hall. One of the 767's key strengths is its wide body, which allows for a more spacious layout compared to some other private jet options. The cabin boasts a width of 15.5 feet or 4.7 meters and a height of 9.4 feet or 2.85 meters.
A typical configuration might include a plush lounge area, state-of-the-art galley, master suite, office space, conference room, dining area, and several lavatories. These options usually seat between 25 and 63 passengers within a luxurious configuration.
Upon entering the lounge area, you will likely encounter a seating configuration tailored to relaxation and socialization.
A high-end entertainment system is usually installed for both video and audio enjoyment.
Walking further into the aircraft, you'll find the galley, which is more of a full-featured kitchen than a typical airplane galley.
The office space is particularly impressive, designed for the high-flying executive who needs to stay productive in transit.
The master suite stands out as a pinnacle of luxury. It usually features a full-size bed, vanity, and a private en-suite bathroom with a full-height shower, a rare luxury in airborne travel.
The conference/dining area can usually be found in the aft section of the cabin.
The cabin generally provides additional lavatories and a dedicated crew rest area.
3:58 - Cockpit
The cockpit is designed for a two-person operation, with the left station for the captain and the right for the first officer.
The centerpiece is Boeing's integrated avionics system, which incorporates large flat-panel LCDs that deliver high-resolution graphics and crisp, clear texts for easy reading.
The Flight Management System is another critical element in the cockpit. This computer-based system allows pilots to input the flight plan and assists with optimal aircraft navigation, performance calculations, and fuel management.
The aircraft also features a Head-Up Display, projecting a transparent display of critical flight information into the pilot's forward field of view.
Furthermore, the BBJ 767 boasts advanced autopilot capabilities. The Auto Flight Guidance System can control the aircraft from just after takeoff to final approach and landing, reducing the workload on the pilots, particularly during long-haul flights.
Full Authority Digital Engine Control allows for optimized engine performance and fuel efficiency. The Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System provides real-time information about the engines' performance and alerts for any system anomalies.
7:20 - Engine and Performance
Talking about performance, the BBJ 767 typically utilizes two high-bypass turbofan engines from either Pratt & Whitney or General Electric.
The Pratt & Whitney option includes the PW4000 series engine, which delivers thrust ranging from 52,000 to 62,000 pounds. On the other hand, if equipped with General Electric's engines, the aircraft would be powered by the GE CF6-80C2, providing a thrust of 52,500 to 63,500 pounds.
With a maximum takeoff weight of approximately 395,000 pounds or about 179,170 kilograms, the aircraft can handle significant payloads.
The aircraft has a standard cruise speed of Mach 0.80, and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of Mach 0.86.
With a full fuel tank, it can travel up to 6,600 nautical miles non-stop, which is 7,590 miles or 12,222 kilometers.
The service ceiling stands at 43,100 feet or 13,137 meters. Additionally, the BBJ 767 is capable of climbing at a rate of 2,000 feet or 610 meters per minute.
In terms of fuel capacity, the aircraft can hold up to 24,140 gallons or 91,370 liters of fuel, which is crucial for maintaining its long-range capabilities.
And finally, the plane has a takeoff distance of about 6,300 feet or 1,900 meters, and a landing distance of approximately 6,000 feet or 1,829 meters.
9:50 - Purchase and Charter Price
The base purchase price for a new Boeing BBJ 767 is $200 million before options, and the charter price is estimated at $20,000 to $30,000 per hour. Naturally, prices will vary depending on availability, fuel prices, ground fees, and more.
10:10 - Operating Cost
While the annual fixed cost is roughly $1.5 million to $2.5 million, the average hourly operating cost is estimated at $10,000 to $15,000.

SUPER cool JET
This vids was absolutely breathtaking,
Very well done,
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing this aircraft!!!
Thank you for watching!
@@AviationBase You are welcome.
Thanks again
Cool jet ❤❤❤❤I am buying one after I hit the lottery
a BBJ based on the B767-400 ER would be quite something instead of the B767 BBJ (as showcased in this video) which is based on the aging B767-200 ER wide body jet from the mid 1980s . . . costing €36.0 Mn - €42.0 Mn more than the B767-200 ER derived B767 BBJ . . . the B767-400 ER wide body jet is the ultimate stretched variant of the B767-200 ER & B767-300 ER . . . since there are no pre-owned/used B767-400 ER airframes in the second hand market & won't be any time soon, the discerning future customer of a B767-400 ER BBJ will have to wait just a tad bit longer . . . all B767-400 ER built to date are operated by full service carriers United & Delta Airlines since 2002 . . .
Je préfère airbus
this was Roman Abramovich's plane if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, you're correct
Exactly this plane, which is from 1986, is for sale for $38 million.
Search for Boeing 767 VIP 365524.
But that's ok, a new one really costs $200 million
Definitely makes sense!
This plane has run for total of 64,619 Hrs
Wunderbar Flugzeug
Nice. But the standard 767 is in the range of 300,000 to 400,000 lbs. How many airports can handle an aircraft of that size? If I owned one, I'd have to keep it 120 miles away....
Bets different with Dreamliner of Boeing Corp.
What is the range of boeing 767
Wow the fuel consumption is MENTAL!
Great Vid, Do have some serious discrepancies with the flight deck presentation.
3-4 completely different avionics configurations shown, i.e....completely different aircraft than the BBJ-specific presented here.
Also...The STC'd retrofitted 75/67Series aircraft flight decks are equipped with the IS&S Flight Deck Solutions Display System...it's NOT Boeing's. It is NOT their product.
Apologies, just the perspective from an Avionics Tech that sees this every day, just wanting to set the record straight. Cheers.
Thank you very much, any constructive criticism is always very appreciated!
Hopefully the doors don't blow out while in flight?
😂
Make video of BBJ, BBJ 2 and BBJ 3 because no one uploaded this type of video on CZcams
They're coming very soon
@@AviationBase Thanks bro 💗 Suiiiiiiiiiii 😁
Hey, the BBJ1 is now on the channel, it's the latest video
@@AviationBase alright bro ♥️
I don't want to fall please
One thing that's happening is that Passenger Jets are getting more and more identical!
Simply a streamlined hull and one engine on each wing!
