    Why is there this notion that to "live your life to the best you can" means you have to physically do stuff? That's simply not true. A lot of people don't live on the 'outside' too much. Some of us live inside our minds more than outside, physically. We read, think, are interested in knowledge, mind science, writings, theories, enigmas, history etc. We don't want to jump around everywhere or even travel. It isn't interesting to us, actually these activities are a nightmare. Let me tell you that if you have a busy inside life, your life is just as much "lived to it's best" as people who can't sit still or don't often use their brains. We are all different. Thank you.

      A simple climing harness and a lanyard,could probably have saved him from falling . He could have clipped in and waited for the police/ rescu climber- fire fighter to come And get him out of danger.
      I get that rigging ropes and climbing anchors on illegal sky scraper climb may be practically impossible, but at least wear a harness and two carbineers and a sling to attach yourself when not climbing or if you get into a problem. There is a example when a guy walked elegaly between the twin towers in new York in the 70 during the construction period of them . On a high rope. With safety line
      the rigging planning took months, and he and his friends got arrested for it.
      They used a bow to pass the first lead string to pull the cable between the buildings .
      So even if you climb elegal you
      Can do something for your climbing safty.
      These on the roof guys could learn a thing or two about climbing safety from the tt crew. I guess they think harnesses and ropes are lame and considered sheating.

    The rope swing death doesn't seem like an accident. More like pure stupidity. Why not tie a weight on it first to see the length? Even if you sucked at math you could easily check. Nobody wants to call drinking and driving an accident, why is that? Many drunks make it home safe.

    • @jenx5870
      @jenx5870 Před měsícem +3

      Do what, now? I sincerely hope your last statement is facetious, because it does NOT come across that way in writing. Many drunks don't make it home safely, and they take innocent people to the grave. It's not an accident. Driving drunk is a conscious decision when you know that you will be getting intoxicated before you get into a vehicle, and there are other options for getting home (free taxi, Uber, sober driver, drinking at home instead, etc.). Personally, I think that those who kill others while driving under the influence should be charged with murder, since it's a premeditated act, given the evidence I just laid out. You can't claim unsound mind when you were sober before you began drinking, and could make a plan ahead of time. There is nothing "accidental" about driving drunk. It's disgusting, and there is no excuse for it. I have been an RN for 28 yrs, and I have seen firsthand the tragic aftermath of drunk driving. It's not something to joke about. My grandfather on my father's side was a falling down drunk alcoholic, and even he knew better than to get behind a wheel and drive when he was drinking. He died in his forties because of his alcoholism, but he never drove drunk. If he found a way to drink every day, and get his alcohol without driving while intoxicated, then so can anyone else.

    I'd rather live sensibly thanks than put myself in more risk 'living my life to the fullest'

    It seems most of these people don't care or understand the devastation they inflict on their loved ones,when one of their so called stunts go wrong.
