Hello-hello, Mr OhRye, please explain why you ignore the chance and value of critical damage. this can be many times more effective than increasing simple damage. for example, with a critical damage of 200%, increasing the chance of critical damage or simple damage by an equal amount will result in the damage being twice as different.
I started doing crit more in runs after this.
the third classes for every character are interesting, cant wait for you to get some of you character to level 18 to get those third classes

When you drop onto a cocoon in the beginning with the drop pod, it doesn't show it on the top bar, but it still counts towards completion
I know you hate the idea of picking Pickled Nitra, but this run would have been the BEST time, knowing how many good movement speed upgrades you got.
Pickled nitra is unironically one of the BEST artifacts, I'd love to see you at least give it a shot!
Just to put how good it is into words:
• You have the freedom to ignore damage upgrades for other upgrades, because Pickled Nitra is already SO dominating in the damage department.
(Just 50 nitra means +100% damage for ALL weapons.)
• Even common speed upgrades are worth taking over a lot of other upgrades, since +3% speed = 6 more nitra you can carry, or +12% damage for ALL weapons.
• 10x better damage than Gold-Tipped Bullets
(+2% per 1 nitra, compared to +1% per 5 gold)
• Even better if you can get Nitrogenic Powder, twice the benefit for one material!
Some advice for using it:
- At base speed, 80 nitra is about the max you want to have; slowly increasing as you get more speed.
- Don't take Nitra Scanner with Pickled Nitra, you want control of how much nitra you have.
- Instantly bolt to the ship as soon as it drops, run through enemies if you have to. You'll always have enough time, but you can't get distracted for a second.
- Really good with Scout or Driller, because they have bonuses to movement/mining (escape) speed.
I use it a lot in my next video.

The minigun fires in an 180° angle in your moving direction which is actually quite good.
just finished a level 4 with a warthog with plasma and shooting in the back too , its crazy , i think you should try it , really underated weapon
I’ve done that too…I think there’s a video for it, but I do like the plasma and back shot combo.
Saalute. That would be nice. Once a player gets overclocked. They can chose primary weapons.

Are the upgrades, like loosen bolts 10% reload speed added on top of the overclock upgrades? Since you picked the piercing one you got -50% reload speed. If you get enough of these loosen bolts by leveling up, you can negate that downside of that piercing overclock, right?

Yes, you can negate the negative reload by picking up other +reload stats!

Yup!
Don't sleep on the Minigun. It aims in a big frontal cone and only fires at available targets. With overclocks it can pierce too. I think it pairs with the Thunderhead really well!
I used it in a previous build, piercing with fire. I feel that if you don’t get the pierce though, it’s garbage.
Looks like a quite interesting game. I looked it up on steam and its in early access. Content wise, how good is it?
I was suprised to see there is a Deep Rock Galactic game that is ,unlike this new game, 3D and has a ton of DLCs. But at least this Survivors game has only one so far and is purely cosmetic.
Content wise there's a lot. It all depends though if you like Survivor games like this. It's basically only 3 biomes, but it's more about perfecting your builds, and unlocking all the meta progression. I have 24 hours, and still have a lot to do.
How come you ignore loot bugs?
It's hard to get everything.
I ignored the gunner because mouse & keeb makes it really difficult to aim, but I have fallen in love with it. Piercing is so frickin insane to watch you just light em up. There's a crazy feeling of power when you can run and everything front of you gets deleted immediately. Honestly I love every class. These devs took the demo stats and knew how to make this game last.
I would've enjoyed getting to level 100 in a run, but you know what?! That is too easy. They were smart. Make the game last. And their roadmap proves they've been aware of the impact this title was going to have. I'm just so impressed by everything and it was OHRye who got me to pull the trigger.
Enshrouded was great for 90 hours, Helldivers is probably worth 90 hours, Nightingale is a mystery but I imagine it could be worth 90 hours...but DRGS is at LEAST 90 hours...for NINE DOLLARS and it's an absolute riot. I'm just so happy this title exists, and thank you Rye for that first vid.
Also I really appreciate that Rye isn't a full-time sweat that rips through the game. It's really fun keeping up.
Hey, I really appreciate the comment! I agree with some of the changes they made, especially not letting us get to level 100 every time. It was smart for the longvity.
I have 23 hours after this last video...and I'm hardly half way done. There's so many builds to try, and things to unlock. Don't even have a bunch of overclocks.
And ya, I'm def not a sweat lol...Just some old dude who loves games. I'm generally good enough to get by...barely.
@@OHRyePlays I have exactly 23.1 hours according to Steam and you are not only good enough to get by, you are entertaining, likable, honest, and humble. Your demeanor is why you're approaching 5k. You remind me of Guns Nerds & Steel. Get it, you got it.
I feel like the difficulty comes from core gameplay design problems though. The 30 second timer to get to the drop pod forces you to run only OP build combos that can clear in front of you really well, and makes experimentation not very fun... and a bunch of weapons start really weak early on and it makes the higher hazards almost impossible if you don't get super lucky.
The maps are also too small, and it's really really easy to get completely overrun/pincer attacked/trapped in a dead end if you don't have a screen clearing build.
I think they need a new game mode, where instead of scaling difficulty the longer the stage goes, w/ the 30 second timer to get to the pod at the end - - they should let you get all the XP you earned when you beat a stage - - then give you an option if you wanna cash out after beating the stage, or risk going to a harder stage for better rewards... and have like 20 stages to fully beat the level.
That way you don't really get punished super hard for having a build that kills the boss really fast... and then you don't have to rush to the drop pod.. so you can take your time pathing / have more build variation.
Then they just need to make the maps like 10x bigger lol.
I think the 30 second timer could be a bit longer…I also think magnet drop rates being increased would help a lot. It’s almost not worth upgrading the 4th gun, and just focusing on the first 2-3.

The game is really hard tbh. I’ve been struggling too…this was honestly my cleanest run I’ve ever done.

Why did you mine the healing stuff sometimes when you already had full health?
So I don't need to mine it later if needed. It's always nice to have it there on the ground, if I'm in trouble, and running away. Instant HP.

You lost your supporter badge on load screen..
It's weird...you have to acitivate it in the menu. I don't want to have gold skins all the time.
They need to fix it so the supporter badge is always there, and let you select skins in the menu.
Dumb question why not sell some ress if you need money you say you have a ton of green sell 80 and you have 16k
It depends…I’ll have to look and see if I have enough of a certain resource to max it out. But your selling resources 2 to 1, so it’s not efficient unless you have more than enough. I know I have a lot of certain resources, but the higher upgrades cost a ton.

Gunner is trash compared to the other options.
I’ve found scout to be the worse so far…gonna try some runs with him tonight to see if my mind changes.
