Sooner or later they will get everyone, won't they? The Raid Team must really be in love with the Tyranids. :D
Well, I'm glad you got someone who wants to help pay your bills.
But still, ew. Raid.
Hi warhammer arch just to let you know Grom is the name of the dark Lord Melkor hammer that he uses as his main weapon in the Lord of the rings mythology. Thanks for doing all the videos you have done over the years have you ever considered doing the Crimson Sabres from Warhammer 40K that became the Crimson slaughter it is a good story and also takes a poke at the dark Angels. Thank Paul
Raid Shadow Wallet?
So you saw someone make a video about him and you decided "yeah I want in on that". Pathetic.
a quote i love about Grom: "It is said that on that day Grom last saw his own legs. Yet so huge and powerful had Grom grown that he no longer needed to see them, and could, instead, order others to see his legs for him."
Someone that big probably couldn't even see their *stomach* lol
@@aliveandwellinisrael2507 more like they could *always* see their stomach, even when looking up
I just imagine this elven hero-commander-dude chewing out the Ulthuan militia: "I leave for 5 minutes to slap some b*tches in Naggaroth, and while i'm out you managed to lose the entire province of Yvresse to a fkn goblin? Do i have to do everything myself?"

I’ve just started a campaign with Grom. I’m enjoying it so far and hey, it can’t be more un-fun then the _abject, crushing misery that is the friggin Malus campaign._
@@KrimzonFlygon1 TWW3 or TWW2?
The moral of the story is that no matter how small and weak you might be, if you eat the right things, you can become a successful warlord and butcher everyone that pisses you off.
A lesson to live by.
Dat Alpha Gobbo Grind.
The boy went and played the ork rpg properly
Well time to eat uranium
It's called bulking in the fitness community, if you want to get gains you need to eat troll meat.
I hope he eventually talks about Grombrindal, a character who made Secret Santa into a deadly combat style.
what makes him even more dangerous is he can and is willing to actually walk and get things done on his own
It's a shame that Grom never got his own Black Library book, trilogy or omnibus (Although a single book would be too short for the tale of Grom). Although it can't be denied that most Black Library authors can struggle to write greenskins...
Too bad though, Gork and Mork really liked him. He likes good food, so of course his destiny would be in the magic donut.
I think the only good novel with a greenskin protagonist is Skaarsnik. Maybe get him to do Grom?
I think Josh Reynolds gave his idea that come the End Times Eltharion roasted him piece by piece in a magical furnace to permakill him and hid it out of shame for what he'd become, thought that'd be an awesome story.
Snobbs can't understand the spirit of the greenskins
Growing the tribe on CZcams is my favorite green skin tale.
Poor Nibblets saw the Eye of Terror the day Grom sat on him
He saw the Eye of Terror and it winked at him.

Poor Niblets.....I cant even imagine the horrors he observed.
Reminds me of that one particular scene from Evolution.
On a side note I was laughing so hard during that bit i may have hurt myself.
Arch is a master of words.
Picture a creature best described as a massive mountain of fat who spends its time gorging on anything it can digest. Now imagine the smell of the slippery goo, a mix of sweat dirt and shit, that has been fermenting between his buttcheeks for the entirety of Groms life as a creature of his nature and size never wipes or washes.

His immensity, his enourmousty, his gargantuity grom da paunch. My favorite playable greenskins lord in total war warhammer. Thank you for making this video. Not many lore channels have very much lore on grom.
That dlc broke the game so hard tho. Everyone playing the OP and cheap orks, it was a terror for MP :(
@@-Triumph I loved groms cauldron and the new greenskins scrap mechanic. A lot of other things like the WAAAAAGH! Army was fixed really well too and I loved that they could confederate with other grrenskins by defeating the faction leader.
Grom ate the troll meat voluntarily? I thought Orcs force feed him. As part of a game to tortue little goblins. Force some troll meat down their thort and see them burst.
I don’t even think it was a matter of hunger: i read Grom did it on a dare!
"Why did the Emperor move to Audolf?"
*Massive greenskin WAAAGH appears in the horizon*
"Oh, that's why..."
Part of me suspects Groms gut didn't just beat but recruited the Troll flesh, making him a goblin troll hybrid
I mean he has regeneration it makes sense, ogres have a spell where if they eat troll flesh they can give all ogres nearby troll-like regen, maybe grom did that accidentally and since it's only him it's permanent or something
@@baconterrorist945 plus there's the whole greenskin weirdness factor to consider
I assume the Troll flesh rested in his stomach so long, it somehow fused into his body and gave him their ability.
Lol. "Warhammer ripped off trolls. By the way here's 'Raid Shadow Payments' with Elves!" All delivered without a hint of irony.
Has to be the most succesful greenskin ever. Truly an inspiration to little goblins everywhere.
Eltharion: And I took that personally.
Grom: But for me, it was Tuesday.
This is why I like the Orks and the green skins in general. They are surrounded by sheer dumb luck of such unimaginable levels that it cannot even be hated. It’s both impressive and hilarious.
Ah paunch. Almost as big as GWs hate for arch. Almost.
I'm curious about the story behind this. Is it just the usual GW contempt for anyone who makes a video that even mentions their intellectual property, or is it something more?
@@aliveandwellinisrael2507 they think he’s racist and moany. It’s long but many warhammer CZcamsrs like Prohet of Sotek also hate arch because of this.

Hmm, Blacktooth got strange visions and the resulting flotilla was mysteriously swept into Yvresse after Eltharion raided Naggarond? Curious that...
Morathi: Hey, son…heheh…watch this. Ahem… _oh, Blacktooooooof…_
@@KrimzonFlygon1 In William King's novelization of Tyrion & Teclis, Morathi leads a horde of chaos marauders into Yvresse and disturbs an undead Caledor Dragontamer, who penetrates her wards to visit her in a dream. She flees back to Naggaroth and tells Malekith via magic mirror, who responds: "Mother, if you have been tampering with his work, I swear to you that if he does not kill you, I will do it myself". She subsequently sacrifices a lobotomized slaan to summon Malekith back from the Realm of Chaos and helps nurse him back to health (again). Strange how Blacktooth's visions were giving him funny ideas about those warding stones...
I love the imagery of hrords of green skins floating down the river on a loosely piled forest.
Hmmm, it seems Troll Regeneration has rubbed off on Grom. He wouldn't have tanked those attacks otherwise.
Arch: I hold Grom's "rear-end" up...
Metaphorically speaking, of course.
How I love these ork (or in this case goblin) stories that just go completely bat shit insane.
Dude just rolled up to Ulthuan and invaded, he's just me but fatter
and not a complete failure who should have been drowned at birth.
I loved reading about when the empire faced him in “Grimblades”
Troll flesh breaks the laws of thermo dynamics
Always nice when Arch does fantasy lore
I honestly hope that, inf not officially then with mods, Grom will have a bonus to relations with the Ogres in Total War: Warhammer 3 whenever the Immortal Empires rolls out...
A goblin of such girth that he could boss around Black Orcs and the only thing greater than his accomplishments as a Warboss, was his bottomless pit of a gut.
If that doesn't sound like someone Ogres would have respect for, I don't know who is...
I really enjoy these Ork biographies. Tuska demon Killa was a cool video too.
now DAT was proppa! wrecked up dwarfs, and humies, and elves! WAAAAAGH GROM! WAAAAAGH GROM!!!

Grom is known to cancel the "goblins fear elves" rules but I'm curious... Gameplay-wise, is there any good reason for that rule (goblins fearing elves) to exist? Would it be unfair if goblins didn't fear elves? What does the rule do to make Warhammer a better or fairer game? Would greenskins vs elves games be unfair if this rule didn't exist? Etc (I genuinely want to know, I'm not just whining.)
Elfs are just weird, how can you not see it?
@@devo342 Goblins just realized how cringe elves were before it was cool.
If I recall correctly it's for the same reason that Skaven generally will try and avoid fighting an elf even with superior numbers they're either just as fast or even faster than them and if they have a weapon they know how to use it better than them most of the time. Now add in that both probably rely on speed and overwhelming numbers in order to survive combat and you have a recipe where they're afraid that they're going to be the first guy in the ground when they get within reach
@@robrib2682 Yes, but when skaven play against elves, they do not experience the FEAR rule in the same manner that goblins do. To explain this better, the goblins suffer the fear rule when facing elves in the same way that most armies suffer the fear rule when facing undead.
It's quite simple really.
I get "martial prowess" and "always strike first"
You get "animosity" and "fear elves"
A perfectly balanced trade offer I assure you)
Aha.
In 2403, a wounded Malekith returns to Naggarond, after casting himself into the Realm of Chaos to escape Teclis at the Battle Of Finuval Plain.
In 2423, Eltharion leads a raid on Naggarond. Naggarond has concentric defences and Eltharion's raiders presumably slipped in disguised as druchii corsairs, damaging the outlying docks and slums before withdrawing.
In 2424, The goblin shaman Blacktooth receives visions and advises Grom to build a large flotilla.
In 2425 Grom's flotilla is mysteriously (and suspiciously) swept into Yvresse and starts damaging the warding stones. As the orcs rampage inland, a punitive druchii fleet ravages the coastline and withdraws before the Asur fleet can intervene (Dark Elf Army Book 8th Ed).
I have to admit greenskins sure know how to go on a adventure.
This is (in my opinion) the perfect description of how a Goblin would wage war. I f***ing love it.

Thanks for all of the hard work that you do, buddy. It's super important that the community has outspoken folks like you who keep the fandom from just completely sliding into a stupor of accepting political nonsense.
Arch you don't need to imagine! One of his official canon titles is ''His Immensity'' which I say do say is very classy!

Aw yes, GROM DA PAUNCH! Glad to see a video on this FATASS Gobbo, certainly one of the more interesting characters added to Warhammer Total War. And the CALDRUN mechanic is certainly one of the more fun faction mechanics among the races/factions, defeat enemies to get ingredients and mix them together to get bonuses, fun stuff.
Now i just want to see GROM DA PAUNCH fight GREESUS THE MORBIDLY OBEASE, the pinnacle of HEAVY WEIGHT Champions fights.
One day we will get am "it is in fact ya boi raid shadow legends!" In arch style.
Love to see the fantasy stuff coming back, quick question/request, can you do a video on Mathias Thulmann from the witch hunter trilogy and his entourage? The man is an absolute beast and he gets no credit from the community
Sadly we never got enough campaigns around Grom and his hordes.

Grom's quest chain in total war is quite funny.

Great video as always I really appreciate your hard work.
Honestly, given his penchant for devouring everything he could get his corpulent hands on, Grom, I'm surprised GW didn't have Grom conscript/enslave the halflings whilst he was rampaging across the Empire.
Missed opportunities...
Glad to see you making another fantasy video focused on the Greenskins, really any fantasy video is great. Keep up the good work

Great video as always, but more wazzocks! I would love to hear some more about thorek Ironbrow!
I remember the old lore stating, that Grom entered an eating contest with a troll, and upon winning, eats the troll, wich then starts the whole regeneration thing. At least, that's how I remember it.
