We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university, and live life full-time. Hey! 😉 I am from Moldova. The population over here is a latin, slavic and balkan mix. Many would be curious about travellers, as they don’t get to see too many. If you show an act of kindness to somebody, then people are going to treat you like family, the latter being one of the most important things for Moldovans. Besides the capital, there are cool places in the villages of Moldova and some wonderful cave monasteries and cave restaurants, as well as the biggest wine cellar in the world. Moldovans love wine, parties and good food a lot! People are also hardworking here, but problem is that they always work with hangover, hence the country being poor. 😁 Honestly, we lack discipline and corruption is high, that is why Moldova is still struggling. As a parallel, I am very passionate about travelling and am looking forward to show my country to someone. This month I will be going to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. So write to me if you guys or anybody else in the comment section ever want to join me up on a trip to Moldova, or… somewhere else. ☺️

This was my grandparents birth country so we always get to visit there and due to this holds a special place in my heart, I must say Moldova is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be and in fact it’s as beautiful and significant as the rest of Europe
Its strange, when I lived and studied in Kazakhstan we discussed how Central Asia always is described as "remote" and I knew when in the introduction you discussed remote places you were going to mention Uzbekistan! Can't wait to go to Moldova now, had a trip booked there in 2014 including Crimea but Mr Putin put paid to that! I loved how the lady at the entrance of the Jewish Cemetary came out of her office, saw people filming and made a sharp exit!

This country has been given a bad rap by some famous travel bloggers. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and I had a nice time. I ate at that same restaurant- La Placinte. Yummy. If you get back try going to Gagauzia and Transnistria. Definitely worth the trip. Thanks for the content 🇺🇸 🇲🇩

Many countries don't recognized Israel. Is it a country? A number of countries recognized Somaliland as a country. Is it a country or not? My argument is that recognition is arbitrary.

Excellent video. Moldova is the poorest and least visited country in Europe for 30 years now, since 1990. Its also the 3rd most corrupt european country.

The reason it is forgotten is that this country should not exist at all. It should be part of Romania, in which case it would be a nondescript province, with hardly any foreign visitors. This situation would have the advantage that Moldova would not be on the list of the least visited countries in the world. Ignored provinces are not included in any list. 😁
Most of the statistics provided in this video are obsolete, Lichtenstein and other smaller states in Europe get even less visitors than Moldova. Also, it is the 4th poorest country in Europe, first place is Ukraine, then Georgia, then Kosovo and only then Moldova...
The reason it is forgotten is that Moldavia has existed since the middle of the14 century while Rominia existed only since the 1881 year, gathered by Russian Empire from foreign territories and peoples.
