This video perfectly shows what George Lucas himself has said, which is that Star Wars is "the tragedy of Darth Vader". Anakin is the central figure that glues together the whole story.
Completely agree, I think that is why the new Trilogy could have respected the Skywalker bloodline a bit more.

The one movie that everyone loved, Rogue One? It was encapsulated in the original story of Anakin.
I never saw luke as a main character - not even close to it it was always about anakin and vader - hell in 2021 the line of charcatera is: Vader,Ahsoka,Emperor,Thrawn,Maul, Tarkin, and maybe than Luke
@@GmodGTX Yeah not really - the reason the sequels struggle is becuase they go against every constant established in the cinematic universe and the plot is just really bad and boring instead of bringing a new alien threat they do this the entire galaxy is open to them and they just do the except same thing again except with worse characters and having them do litteral things that arent possible and killing the main villain during the first meeting 😂 it was so boring i live star wars but it didnt capture me one single second - just take advice from dave filoni disney...the mandalorian and rogue one are so amazing why not just do that...

Well, attempting to save people and in doing that losing them all and everything, until presented an opportunity to ACTUALLY save someone from death, and he took the chance, sacrificing himself for his family.
His mum said it the best "you cant stop change anymore than you can the sun from setting"...
And he wasn’t the only one who had blame in this. Council failed him, lots of his loss would’ve been prevented if they would done something about it. They didn’t do anything about his mother and told him to let her go, they accused his padawan who was like a sister to him and made her leave him, they basically betrayed his trust and tried to pull Obi Wan to their side. They abondened him with his fear of losing Padme. Jedi way was heartless and broken.

The Chosen One is such an amazing video. I've watched it so many times. I love how it tells the story of Anakin Skywalker and how it went back and forth when he was a child and also how to showed The Clone Wars. I haven't watched it yet. Once I get Disney+, I'm going to. It really showed his tragic life so well with the music. It made the video more emotional.
I haven't seen the new film but I swear if they bring palpatine back they have literally disrespected and killed anakins legacy and I will literally hate Disney for ruining one of the best stories ever made

Anakin actually has borderline personality disorder (something I got diagnosed with in late 2017 at 31) but he also has narcissistic tendencies.
My BPD is nowhere near as bad, that being said after I was diagnosed and I watched revenge of the Sith I haven’t been able to watch it the same way since and in a lot of ways I love it even more.
Someone actually did a medical character study on the character you can find this how by doing a Google search.
For me personally revenge of the Sith is the best paced Star Wars movie out of the six George Lucas movies.
The only downside for me and this happened after it got its original DVD release was when the formation of the Rebel alliance scene got put on the cutting room floor as did Yoda landing on Dagobah.
I think both the aforementioned scenes would’ve worked perfectly especially as a back door set up to a new hope and empire respectively.
The Yoda scene was championed by Rick McCallum (producer) who tried really hard to convince George to keep that scene in but to no avail.
Greatest moment of my Star Wars life was when Luke was able to turn Darth Vader back to the light. Worst moment of my Star Wars life was when The Last Jedi changed Luke into a lonely, loser full of despair, someone who would not help. Luke was the personification of eternal hope and faith. I am not sure the Rise of Skywalker can possibly restore my love of this epic story.
Unfortunately, I am not sure how much effort they are going to expend trying to correct how badly they treated Luke vs telling their story they want to tell for Rey. A lot of the rumours are that Rey is connected to Palpatine, I hope that is false. Luke in the expanded universe novels, that are now 'Legends', became the greatest Jedi of all time, Mara Jade, his wife was a fabulously powerful and talented Jedi. It is a shame that got trade up for this. In the novels they roughly got to 36 years after TRJ, so they could have kept both and just used the films to extend the story line. Fingers crossed that the RoS is a decent film!

Agreed the moral of StarWars is about that how many mistake you make it's never to late to redeem your selft. It's not to late to made good choice again. So poetics so beautiful.

Tbh, the prequels should've been 4 films and excluding the relationship between Ahsoka and Anakin was an incredible miscalculation. If Ahsoka had been included, it would've given the prequels such an amazing arc. But I do understand, the physical special effects would have been VERY difficult to pull off given the time period in which those movies were filmed.

Sequels broken whole Chosen One prophecy with Palpatine (Anakin destroyed the Sith, but now he didn't??) coming back... so PT seems meaningless now, Luke was supposed to create new Jedi order, but he failed too
I agree that they have muddled the canon, but, we do not know how they will use the last film to course correct.....Or so I am hoping.

@@loth-wolf2595 What your thoughts then hoob? I am not a fan of TLJ, not sure of the direction they have taken Luke. I preferred the Luke from the Expanded Universe / Legends. For me personally, the Saga's were the story of the Skywalkers....It should end with a Skywalker as the main protagonists.....I am curious what TROS will bring.
Thanks for reacting to this! Great reaction. I think it is one of my favorite of the tribute videos. Anakin really is such a tragic character and his arc is great. His Rise, Fall, and Redemption. Personally I don't really like the sequels, other than Rogue One. The story being told, or attempting to be told, in the sequels just doesn't have a central theme. The movies are disjointed and they care more about the eye-candy and visuals than the actual story. And although the Prequels have their flaws, their problems are largely with the storytelling and not the story being told. This is just my opinion to be clear.
I think i completely agree with the point you have made. There is a lot I adore about the Prequels, some of the CG has aged badly, some dialogue is cluncky and there are timing issues. That aside, the films cover an immensely rich story that make me want to delve deeper into. The Disney trilogy does not. TFA, created a lot of intrigue that TLJ carelessly threw away. Essentially it cheapened TFA to a mere clone of ANH. We will be posting our reaction to the Old Republic Games, that has more essence of Star Wars, barring Rogue One, that Disney has managed to produce to date.
@@GeeksofMucklebee Oh you mean The Old Republic Cinematics? from the Bioware game? If not those are another recommendation. There are a few and they have an order that I can't remember right now. but you could search old republic cinematics in order or something and should find them really easily.
I also think that "Solo" was a huge mistake too. Han Solo, while being popular, is clearly a secondary or supplementary character. If they had delved into Palpatine and how he became a Sith or something. That would have been interesting. But Solo from the announcement didn't really have strong support or anticipation from the fanbase.
@@stonewall01 Yep, the Bioware cinematics, all filmed, I've just got to get it edited. In my opinion, Solo was not very good. I personally would have done the Bounty Hunter Wars or a Bounty Hunter / Suicide Squad film. A film detailing how Boba, IG-88, Zuckuss, Bossk and Dengar had rose to the top of their trade and been requested by Vader. Showing them battling other Bounty Hunters, their interpersonal rivalries and them collecting on Imperial and Rebel targets.....Maybe even some low ability Jedi's. It would have allowed a Rogue One expansion on something familiar.
i think every parent should get their kids, let them watch the all Star Wars movies / Clone wars series, Rebels, and then the new trilogy.. cos if they see only the new trilogy, or as first, they will never understand the issue with it...
Or just let them watch and enjoy what they want? Even the OT has its problems

TROS is going to be absolute trash. The emperor was written to be defeated by Vader. It completed his arc as a character. Bringing back the emperor shits all over the MAIN STORY that took 6 movies to tell.
The Prequels biggest flaw was comedy,/ Jar Jar/ Jar Jars stupid race.. it made to many times the situation a joke.. i would have liked it more with the Rogue One tone...

Más bien digamos que es algo muy propio de cada uno el tema. Tal y como con los colores, para gustos, los doblajes.
En cuanto a títulos de películas, diría personalmente que Latinoamericana gana en un 80%. Ahora, a la hora de hacer el doblaje del guión...ahí la cosa cambia.
Por poner pocos ejemplos, recuerdo ver el doblaje de Deadpool 1 en latinoamericano y en español y ver la cosa bassstaaannnte pareja. Más allá del actor o actriz. Eso es tema aparte. En cuanto a los diálogos oí cosas muy pero muy bien sonantes en esp.España que en esp.Latam quedan...bueno...muy mexicanas. No quiero decir que el acento mexicano sea malo. Absolutamente para nada. Sino que por meterle tanto lunfardo se pierde la "neutralidad" del "español neutro", valga la obscena redundancia. Oír decir por ejemolo: "Ay, no mames!" , me choca si de parte de España tengo: "me cago en todo!". Me siento mucho más identificado con la última porque suelo decir mucho esa expresión y no soy de España.
O ver Full Metal Jacket en ambas versiones y que me choquen muchos términos en esp.España por exceso de lunfardo que no en esp.Latam que, si bien me jode cuando en una parte dice: "dilo con huevos, cabron!", por lo general la adaptación de su traducción es más violenta por lo que el trabajo pesa más. Aparte de que la calidad del audio es mil veces mejor. Y esto no lo digo yo. Basta con oír ambas y se nota.
O en la saga de Batman de Christopher Nolan. Si bien amo profundamente el actor de doblaje latino de Batman (de esa trilogia) y como se adapto al personaje...el actor de España es creo que mucho...mejor. me duele admitirlo porque amo al actor mexicano. Pero si, el actor de España tiene un timbre de voz que le queda terrorífico al personaje.
Para gustos...los doblajes.🤷🏻♂️
