Stevie totally had me going with her spot on Link impersonation. 😂 The bag said Potstickers but they weren’t prepared as potstickers. Potstickers are fried until their bottoms are browned then water pored in the pan to steam the rest of the dumpling. Both of the dishes you guys tried were steamed dumplings. Gyoza are also fried or steamed but are usually filled with ground shrimp where dumplings (potstickers) are usually filled with ground pork.
Watching this makes me wish there was a mythical crew roast. Big stage and everything 😅

I laughed so hard when Stevie made the first sarcastic guess about the sausage that I got a cramp in my side.
Also, I just have to say, the microwave is perfect for something that needs to be steamed! It doesn't need to be dry! Just put a little saucer of water in the microwave and/or cover them with a plastic cloche.
That's what I was thinking. If there is one thing the microwave can do well it's steaming something
If you cook the potstickers in a pan with a little water or oil they get crispy edges and take around 7 minutes, definitely worth the wait.

@@Machinu5 when you boil potstickers, they aren't potstickers. At that point they are just dumplings. Potstickers are dumplings that have been pan-fried. Sometimes straight up with a little steaming too other times after boiling.
