  • When dance isn't about reaching, expanding and soaring through space, we are reminded that it's also about centering, attending and sensing. While it's challenging to be unable to teach in familiar ways, we've also found new, creative methods that work and unearthed skills, strategies, and elements of dance education that we plan to carry with us going forward. This panel will help you consider your new teaching practice through the lens of science. We will discuss education of the dancing body and brain with ideas from neuroscience, improvisation, somatics, and more.
    Guest Panelists:
Betsy Coker, EdD, MA, is a dancer, dance-maker, scientist, and professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
