Great tip about the V508 PCV valve fitting these cars. That's more readily available than the Hyundai part. But the reason you and many others had a problem with your socket not fitting the valve is that you are using 15/16", which is the wrong size! The correct size socket is a Metric 23 mm deep socket, which is smaller. A good one can be found cheaply at Lowe's stores, although you may have to order it.
David Banks there you go guys now every one know the size also it has to be thin wall
Thank you for this video, you saved me a bundle! They were going to charge me $60 at the oil change place to replace this, I picked the part up for $20 and used your video to help me install.
Good job it’s easy !!
This video saved me a world of headache bro, thanks so much!

I think this one has 2 so if u stand front of the car on the passenger side right front on valve covered there’s on easy to see and one in the back end also
@@RBTheMechanic T FOUD IN DRIVER SIDE ,DIFFICULT TO REPLACE ALMOST 45 MINUTES
@@namcao5674 front should be easy
@@RBTheMechanic Not easy ,open throttle half hour
The correct socket should be a 22mm !
21 mm socket should work.
No it dosent ground the pcv is thin and no room around the valve cover
23mm deep socket will work
No need to,replace the PCV valve. Just remove it and spray the Sh$$ out of it with non chlorinated brake cleaner spray until you hear the valve freely moving. Then just reinstall. $1 worth of spray from the can and you’re good to go.
Yup that is one way but it’s not so expensive either is fine replace it or clean it some of these plastic valve do get weak
Thanks it looks easy enough so what is the reason you replaced it ?
I replace these every 30k miles and I recomend them every 30k miles
Absolutely asinine design that you can't use a normal 13/16 spark plug socket to get around that valve.
Yeah 🤦♂️
