    My wife bought me a 66 for Father’s Day this year. 1 owner and in pretty good shape for the price. Minimal rust. It has been my dream car since I was a kid and my grandma had one. I can’t wait to watch these videos as you keep going. I wish I knew more I just can’t wait to hopefully one day drive it, and then share my love of cars with my babies. Thanks for the motivation!

      Thank you for the kind words! I have my turbo bmw build that I’m getting finished and then It’s full speed ahead on this Lincoln! Next up for me is dent and rust repair.

      @@shed_mfg well you have someone in me waiting for videos! What’s your game plan engine wise? Rebuild 462? Ford 460? Where you located?

      @@jamessheets23 I’m not set on power plant yet, definitely not big block, current contenders are 3.5 eco boost, om606, 1jz, potentially ls (although that’s lazy and overdone) but I’m open to suggestions!

      @@shed_mfg those are some pretty interesting options. I think I’m leaning towards 460 because parts are plentiful. I just uploaded a few videos of it to my page. Check it out and tell me what you think! 1 owner, clean title, maintenance records back to 67. I got this for what I think is a steal!

      @@jamessheets23 my requirements are 400hp/tq, easily accessible repair and replacement parts and more fuel efficient than the 462, this is going to be a road trip car for me.

    I purchased a 63 a year ago I couldnt pass up the deal. Took it to a couple car shows and it gets looks everywhere i go. Such a fun car. My dream has always been a 66. Something about that body style was just perfection. Hoping to trade my 63 for 66 someday.

      I just got wheels for this one and I have more content in the works, follow along! The 63 is a cooler back end but I prefer the 66’s nose.

    I might consider removing my vacuum lines also. I am told my engine will not run right without it. I have a 430. I do know the brakes do not work well without the vacuum hoses connected.

      Without any vacuum lines connected they are correct. But if you retain (read replace with new hose) the brake booster reference, distributor, and both vacuum canisters under the front quarter panels then the total vacuum volume won’t change much and it should still run well. Make sure to use quality caps for every vacuum port deleted.

      the only vacuum lines I need to replace now are the ones under the dash. I will replace those or close them off except the brakes@@shed_mfg

    No n’s or l’s here. I didn’t believe you were going to add them with sharpie until I saw it. Are electric doors better or are vacuum ones extremely fiddly and not worth the trouble? Definitely enjoyed watching you work and the results( looked like persistence was required removing the bondo).

      Vacuum actuation was useful before good electric servos existed. Now vacuum is just unreliable

    You gotta tiger by the tail. Be prepared to open the wallet and waterfall dollars, time and energy into this. More than what I would be willing to tackle.
