In this video, I am renovating an old rusty Jeep Willys 1960 motor car. The mini jeep has a 150cc engine, 3 speeds and a reverse gear. The Jeep will undergo a complete renovation. in this part of the video, I prepared the body for spraying, removed the engine for repair, cleaned the chassis for respraying.

That is so funny. I saw the swirls of mud and the dirt. also. Really great work. Who dumps a mini car like this and leaves the wheels off. Everything looked pristine except with a judicious coat of mud. Great job though. I am looking forward to seeing it completed and buzzing around the countryside my friend.

Considering they only started making these last year, yeah it's fake. I think they use oxidizer on the toys as well to make em rust. They just wish to show off their restoration skills. But they could be more honest.
Looks like all it needed was the degreaser, wash and fire it up😉 good for restoration content tho..

Tip for plastic welding, just put the paper clips in your soldering iron and use cable ties along the cracks to melt into the cracks with flat blade soldering iron. Naked flames warp the plastic.

Funny how the dust all over the thing looks exactly like it had been shedded for years. Luckily, air in all 4 nearby tires too! No rust under the hinges or pooled water anywhere! What find in the forest, lucky guy.

These are fairly still new to the market, I agree with other comments, painted on dirt, tires not flat, I’m guessing they already had the wheel nuts, and seat back.

I'm pretty sure this is the same Gentleman i recently saw re building a Mini AC Cobra as part of his business? One thing struck me about this video, He was lucky enough to have the correct nuts to hand to fix the jeep wheels back on??? Or was he DOUBLE lucky to find them lying in the long grass???
That jeep was just put there you can tell by how the plants are on the front but how all that dirt and leaf debris is thrown up onto the Jeep if it's been there for quite some time then it should have a lot more debris on it than that

I like these restoration videos. I follow some channels of the same theme. They always show excellent works... but there is one thing in common in all of them that somewhat bothers me: I have the impression that the objects to be restored are "dirty" or "damaged" in an artificial way. Not that it takes the shine out of the work, but it bothers me a little.
I like genuine restoration, but this restoration is fake, the way the tires were separated to fool people, also dirt deposits were man made not natural.
Yeah its definitely fake, and not just that this whole video is fake i like how when he first turns the key it does nothing which means the starter isn't working, then he gives it fuel and it magically works even though its battery powered

I think that's because this was staged 🤣 Maybe it sat behind a garage or something but I have trouble believing it hasn't been stripped clean or even left in the woods.
@@randall1959 I know I just didn't want to say outright....most of the 'staged' restorations come from Asia or Eastern Europe, both places where lying and cheating in life are commonplace.
I'm sure most of the encouragement replies are fake.....or complete idiots who have never done a real restoration themselves.

What I don't understand is how it is found in the woods, out in the elements, and yet has not a trace of rust on it after being hosed down! How does that happen?

@@martingolding4951 I agree with this guy it also looks like the bumper was cut with an angle grinder to in addition to that if it was in the forest for the amount of time it the video says it was we would have not herd the engine crank over as the carb would have needed to be cleaned to even function let alone the fact that they found it with tires off like they fell off or somthing like that and they just magicaly bolted on still an entertaing watch tho

Great job, but I personally don't have enough spikes on the wheels like Egyptian chariots (to crush the infantry), and of course, could you add a couple of machine guns in the next series? Judging by the news, we are confidently moving towards World War 3 and this will be practical.

i love it when nature removes the wheels for you :) seriously how? The wheels just removed themselves without breaking the axles and ain't no way that shit is from 1960 i couldn't imagine how the carb would look if it was from 1960. this is also so easy to recreate, stomp on the body panels pull it to peices unbolt the wheels dump mud on it and you're done!

Why were the wheels and bonnet off? Where did the wheel nuts come from? The dirt had been painted on with a brush. OK video, but the "wreck" was made to look worse than it actually was and definitely was not sitting in the open in the woods as presented.

I think it would look cool with diamond tread plate on the floor and fire wall it would be great for some one to make a mini roll cage for driver safety a d a rain cover ,in case the owner wants to add electronic accessories to there mini jeep it would look great adding diamond plate to exterior plastic body panels for strength and endurance

He didn’t “restore” much man. The scene was clearly staged and the entire Jeep was made to look busted up. Paints good… no rust to speak of, engine up in running in time, paints good. They took a moderately used Jeep and made it look “abandoned “
For a metal thing abandoned in the forest, some of those screws and bolts looked in a pretty good (new) condition. And why do the vehicles you find always have that collapsed wheels look? Great video nevertheless, but some fakery for effect, right?
